Abstract

Background: Several factors cause obesity in adolescence are the lack of consumption of vegetables, fruits and excessive consumption of fast food. Nutrition counseling about benefits of vegetables, fruits and the impact of fast food on obesity is an effort that would be increase consumption of vegetables, fruits and reduce consumption of fast food.Objective: To determine the effect of counseling with booklet media on consumption of vegetables, fruits and fast food in obese adolescents at SMP N 40 Semarang.Method: The type of research is a true experiment with randomized pre and post test control group design. The research subjects consisted of 15 intervention samples who took nutrition counseling treatment with booklet media and 15 control samples were only given booklet media without nutritional counseling. The data was analysed by Independent T Test and Mann Whitney.Results: Nutrition counseling with booklet increased vegetable consumption (0,37 portion) and decreased fast food consumption (1,09 portion) but the result were not significant in the statistical test (p 0.05). However, nutrition counseling with booklet significantly (p 0.05) increased fruit consumption (0,63 portion).Conclusion: Nutrition counseling with booklet increased consumption of vegetables and fruits, and also reduce consumption of fast food.

Abstract

Background  : Physical fitness is the ability of a person's body to perform daily work tasks without causing significant fatigue. The importance of physical fitness for schoolchildren and adolescents, among others, can increase the ability of the body organs, social emotional, sportsmanship and spirit of composition. One of the factors that affect physical freshness is the hemoglobin level. Adequacy of vitamins and minerals is also a factor that indirectly affects physical fitness.Objectives  : Describe the relationship of sufficiency of vitamin A, vitamin C, zinc and hemoglobin levels with physical fitness students in Senior High School 4 Semarang.Method  : This research type is analytical descriptive with Cross Sectional design. The number of respondents is 104 students. Respondents were selected by proportional stratified sampling. Dependent variable of this research is physical fitness, independent variable that is vitamin A sufficiency, vitamin C sufficiency, zinc adequacy and hemoglobin level. Data analysis using Rank Spearman test and multiple linear regression test.Results  : There is a relationship between hemoglobin (p-value = 0,000) with physical fitness. There was no correlation between vitamin A adequacy (p-value = 0,788), vitamin C adequacy (p-value = 0,203), adequacy of zinc (p-value = 0,257) with physical fitness.Conclusion  : Hemoglobin level is the most influential factor on physical fitness of Senior High School 4 Semarang students.

Abstract

Background: Hydration results from body fluids balance, while dehydration results from body fluids imbalance. Dehydration can result from losing too much water, not drinking enough or both of these things. There are certain job who has  special needs for fluids especially who works in hot environments.Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge, fluid intake and nutritional status with hydration status in expedition couriers.Methods: A cross-sectional design with 44 expedition couriers as the research subject. Knowledge of fluids were obtained using a questionnaire, fluid intake were obtained by interview using repeated 24-h food recall, nutritional status were obtained by using BMI and the hydration status were obtained by urine specific gravity using urinalysis reagent strips. The data was processed and analyzed using Pearson correlation test.Results: Most of the respondents had sufficient knowledge (59.1%). The average fluid intake of the respondents were 2562 mL. Most of the respondents had normal nutritional status (45.4%). Almost half of respondents has pre-dehydration (45.5%). There  were arelationship between knowledge of fluids and hydration status (p=0,0001, r=-0,514), also between fluid intake and hydration status (p=0,0001, r=-0,685). There is no relationship between nutritional status and hydration status (p=0,337, r=0,148).Conclusion: Fluid intake and hydration status on expedition couriers are still not as expected, even though expedition couriers have sufficient knowledge.

Abstract

Background  : Anemia experienced  by most young women in Indonesia. Supplementation of Fe tablet is given to young women in junior high and high school. The absorption of Fe tablet will be maximal if consumed along with vitain C. Guava juice is one of the fruit that contains vitamin C and become an alternative in increasing hemoglobin levels.Objective  : To know the effect of supplementation of Fe tablet and red guava juice to increase hemoglobin level in female adolescent at SMP PGRI 01 Semarang. Method  : This study uses Experimental Quasy with pre and post test design group control design. The number of research samples are 28 people consist of 14 treatment samples and 14 control samples. Data collected were general characteristics data of sample, anthropometric data, nutrient intake data (energy, protein, iron and vitamin C) and measurement data of Hb level. Statistical Analysis using Anova Repeated Measur with 95% confidence degree.Results  : The mean hemoglobin level in the treatment group was 10.7 g / dL, in the control group of 10.2 g / dL. While the mean hemoglobin level after giving intervention in the form of supplementation of Fe tablet and guava juice in the treatment group had 11,4 gr / dL average, in control group 10,6 gr / dL which was only given Fe tablet supplementation.Conclusion  : There were no significant differences but there was an increase between hemoglobin levels before and after supplementation of Fe tablets and guava juice in the treatment group and control group p = 0.728 (p 0.005), although it was controlled with adequate intake of energy, protein, vitamin C, iron and long menstruation.

Abstract

Background : The causes of hyperuricemia are divided into 2, namely factors that cannot be controlled and those that can be controlled. Factors that cannot be controlled are age, sex and genetics, while factors that can be controlled are BMI and purine intake. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors that affect uric acid levels in hyperuricemia patients in the Muara Satu Health Center Work Area, Lhokseumawe City.Methods : This research is descriptive analytic usingdesign case control. This research was carried out at the Muara Satu Health Center, Lhokseumawe City in February 2021. Age, sex and genetic data were collected using a questionnaire by means of interviews. BMI was collected using weight and TB measurements and purine intake was collected using recall by means of interviews. Data were analyzed using Chi-Squarae .  Results : Most of the hyperuricemia patients were in the early elderly as many as 11 people (52.4%) and 18 women (85.7%). BMI mostly mild overweight as many as 14 people (66.7%) and have a genetic history as many as 12 people (57.1%) with purine intake mostly 18 people (85.7%).Conclusion : There is a significant relationship between genetics and purine intake with uric acid levels and there is no significant relationship between age, gender and BMI with uric acid levels in hyperuricemic patients who are outpatients at the Muara Satu Health Center, Lhokseumawe.Suggestion : It is recommended for people with hyperuricemia to pay attention to the intake of food sources of purines, in order to normalize blood uric acid levels. Key words : Age; Gender; Genetics; BMI; Purine intake

Abstract

Background: Riskesdas 2007, 2010 and 2013 show the prevalence of malnutrition in a row at 18.4%, and 17.9% and 19.6% of. Mother's attitude, knowledge and intake of less is the cause of the problem of malnutrition.Objective: to Determine the relationship of knowledge, attitude of the mother and the intake of complementary foods and nutritional status of children age 12 – 24 months in the region on Phc Pejawaran.Methods: Type of observational analytic study design case-control. Study subjects all children under five underweight, as a control toddler good nutrition with metching sexes, taken at random. Bivariate analysis using Mc Nemar with α ≤ 0.05. Method of sampling begins with the screening, the nutritional status based on the index of BB/U, the nutritional intake with recall interview 2 x 24 hours. Knowledge and attitude with interview using questionnaire instruments.Results : case group mothers less knowledge 41%, the attitude is not supportive of 12.5%, the energy intake is not enough to 43.7% and protein of 39.6%. The control group maternal knowledge less at 35.4% , the attitude is not supportive 8% , the energy intake is not enough to 37.8 and protein 35,5% .Conclusion: There is no significant influence between knowledge (p=0,508), attitude (p=0,727), energy intake (p=0,508) and protein (p=0.754 to) with the nutritional status of children aged 12-24 in the region above the public health center Pejawaran Banjarnegara.Suggestion: Need to increase counseling on mother and toddlers to improve knowledge and attitudes to prevent the toddler is underweight.

Abstract

Background : The toddler is one of the population groups that are vulnerable to nutritional problems. They are experiencing rapid growth and development in this period of time and thus require the supply of food and nutrition in sufficient quantities and adequate. Malnutrition in infancy can lead to impaired growth and development of the physical, mental, social, intellectual nature persist and continue to be carried into adulthood.Objective : The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of supplemental feeding on infant malnutrition recovery to changes in nutritional status in the Puskesmas Kramat Tegal regency.Method : Research in using this type of analytical research, research design used in this study was a cohort study conducted in the design of non randomisassi. The research sample was 23 children who received food supplement to recovery and 23 infants who were not given food supplement to recovery that will be the control group. Analysis researchers used statistical tests to analyze the effect of food supplement recovery to changes in nutritional status using test Anacova Repeated Meansure with α 0.05.Results : The results showed that there was the influence of supplementary feeding on infant malnutrition recovery to changes in nutritional status (p value 0.012).Conclusion : The conclusion of this research is the nutritional status of the comparator group average Z score before -2.426, month-1 is -2.052, month-2 is -2.157 and -2.783 3rd month. The nutritional status nutritional status prior to treatment groups treatment was -2.504, -2.222 month 1, month 2 is -1.190 and three months to an average z score to -1.280. The author expects for the health department in order to improve the efficiency of the implemented processes packets food supplement to recovery. Food supplement to recovery mentoring program so that a given package is really right on target and acceptable to children under five goals.

Abstract

Pendahuluan : Institusi jasa boga memiliki tanggung jawab yang besar dalam menyediakan makanan yang bermutu. Upaya pengamanan makanan sangat penting untuk meningkatkan mutu. Mutu makanan tidak hanya dilihat dari nilai gizi dan cita rasa, namun harus aman dari bahaya kimia, fisik, dan biologi termasuk mikroorganisme.  Bakteri yang paling banyak digunakan sebagai indikator sanitasi adalah Escherichia coli. Di dalam air maupun makanan yang terdeteksi adanya Escherichia coli yang bersifat patogen, jika termakan/terminum dapat menyebabkan keracunan. Selain itu, Staphylococcus aureus merupakan bakteri yang bersifat enterotoksin. Bakteri ini biasanya terkontaminasi silang dari penjamah makanan (hidung, mulut, tangan), dan peralatan masak.Tujuan : Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan, sikap, praktik serta identifikasi bakteri Escherichia coli dan Staphylococus aureus pada penjamah dan makanan yang diolah di PT PSA.Metode : Penelitan ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif dengan desain cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di PT PSA (Pelita Sejahtera Abadi). Besar sampel 16 orang penjamah makanan dan 12 sampel makanan. Variabel penelitian meliputi pengetahuan, sikap dan praktik penjamah, serta identifikasi bakteri  Escherichia coli dan Staphylococus aureus pada penjamah dan makanan. Metode pengambilan data pengetahuan dan sikap melalui tanya jawab menggunakan kuesioner, praktik berdasarkan observasi menggunakan formulir chek list. Uji identifikasi bakteri Escherichiacoli dan Staphylococus aureus dilakukan di laboratorium fisiologi dan biokimia Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Diponegoro. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada bulan April  2010.Hasil : Sebanyak (56,3%) penjamah makanan memiliki tingkat pendidikan tamat SMA, dan rata-rata lama kerja 9, 19 tahun (± SD 2,37). Pengetahuan penjamah makanan  sebagian besar (62,5%) tergolong baik, sikap sebagian besar (68,7%) baik, dan praktik sebagian besar (56,3%) kurang. Hasil pemeriksaan identifikasi bakteri Escherichia coli pada makanan ditemukan positif pada sayur bobor bayam dan Staphylococcus aureus pada lauk hewani bandeng presto. Hasil pemeriksaan identifikasi bakteri Escherichia coli pada tangan penjamah makanan (50%) positif dan Staphylococcus aureus (25%) positif. Penjamah yang teridentifikasi bakteri Staphylococcus aureus juga teridentifikasi bakteri Eschericheria coli.Simpulan  : Pengetahuan dan sikap penjamah makanan di PT PSA sebagian besar baik, tetapi untuk praktik higiene personal masih kurang. Makanan yang diolah di PT PSA belum memenuhi syarat kesehatan karena  pada hasil identifikasi bakteri Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus positif pada makanan dan tangan penjamah. Ada hubungan antara praktik higiene personal penjamah dengan keberadaan bakteri  Escherichia coli pada tangan penjamah (p=0,001). Tidak ada hubungan antara praktik higiene personal penjamah dengan keberadaan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus pada tangan penjamah (p=0,088).

Abstract

Background : Adolescence is a period that is easily influenced by external factors and easy to follow the trends such as online food ordering that is evolve. Adolescent consumption habits are now classified as unhealthy, such as consuming fast food and sweetened beverages that if consumed continuously, excessively, and without physical activity can lead to obesity.Subject : This study aimed to determine the correlation between GoFood promotion, GoFood service, and obesogenic food consumption behavior with adolescent nutritional status (overweight and obesity) at RW 02 Cilandak Barat.Method : The study used a cross sectional design with chi-square test method. Assessment of GoFood promotion and GoFood service using questionnaires, and consumption of obesogenic food using FFQ (Food Frequency Questionnaire), and anthropometric measurements included weight and height for 64 adolescents.Result : The analysis showed that GoFood promotion (p = 0,880), GoFood service (p = 0,149), and consumption of obesogenic food (p = 0,773) have no correlation (p 0,05) with overweight and obesity.Conclusion : There was no correlation between GoFood promotion, GoFood service, and obesogenic food consumption behavior with adolescent nutritional status (overweight and obesity) at RW 02 Cilandak Barat.

Abstract

Background : Overweight is one nutritional status problem with excess body fat percent, has a prolonged impact on the risk of degenerative diseases. Overweight is one of factor that triggers hypertension and affects the physical fitness of the decreasing and easily tired.Objective  : To know the effectiveness of moderate intensity aerobic exercise on blood pressure and physical fitness of overweight adolescentsatthe Nutrition Department of PoltekkesKemenkes Semarang.Methods  : This study was one of community nutrition. True-Experimental with pre and post-control group design was used. Random sampling technique was used to get 17 treatment samples and 17 control samples. The collected data contained characteristics data, anthropometric (height, weight), Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP), Dyastolic Blood Pressure (DBP), Physical fitness, energy intake and physical activity. T-tests(paired t test and independent t test) were analyzed to determine the differences between variables.Results  : After moderat intensity of aerobic exercise at 5 weeks, there was a significant different (p0,05) between treatment and control groups on physical fitness (21,84±5,25 vs 12,92±5,24 ml/kg/minutes). There were no differences (p0,05) for SBP (113.47±9,47 vs 117,17±13,11 mmHg) and DBP (80,2±11,55 vs 76,71±8,42 mmHg ) in both of group.Conclusion  : There was a difference in the increase in physical fitness of the treatment group p = 0,000 (p 0.05)
