Abstract

Social capital and community empowerment are two interrelated concepts in achieving sustainable social and economic progress. In the perspective of Islamic Economics, these two concepts not only focus on material well-being, but also on achieving higher life goals based on sharia principles. This article discusses the importance of social capital in community empowerment and how the values ​​of Islamic Economics, such as justice, solidarity, and the principles of fair distribution of wealth, can strengthen social capital and encourage sustainable empowerment. Using a qualitative approach, this article explores community empowerment mechanisms that can be optimized through Islamic values ​​that prioritize justice, mutual assistance and sustainability.

Abstract

This article aims to find the concept of welfare and Islamic economic justice contained in the Qur'an Surah At-Taubah: 34 and An-Nisa: 58, a type of library research study with the thematic interpretation method (maudhu'i) which focuses on the concept of welfare and Islamic economic justice contained in the Qur'an Surah At-Taubah: 34 and An-Nisa. The data collection technique uses document studies, the book of Tafsir Jami' Al Bayan Fii Tafsiril Qur'an. The analysis of verse interpretation data is relevant to the concept of welfare and Islamic economic justice. The basic principles of the Islamic economic system emphasize justice, trust, and social responsibility. Surah At-Taubah: 34 emphasizes the importance of spending wealth for the benefit of society, not just hoarding wealth without being distributed for social good. Meanwhile, Surah An-Nisa: 58 reminds of the importance of trust and justice in establishing laws and managing the economy.

Abstract

This research was conducted because it saw the importance of social education in life. Social education is the most important thing for the development of true friendship, equality, tolerance, mutual respect, togetherness, peace and brotherhood, thus creating a harmonious life in society. At present the author sees a very drastic decline in social attitudes, one of the factors is gaged, where children are now busy with their own gaged, not caring about the people around them. The purpose of this study is to understand what social education is, how to educate children to have good social attitudes. This research method is using library research methods, namely research that focuses on literature in the form of books, journals, papers, and other writings. While the approach in this research is qualitative. While the results of this study are able to make the child someone who has a good social attitude.

Abstract

This study aims to explore generosity from the perspective of the Qur'an as an inspiration for the development of philanthropic start-ups. By integrating Islamic philanthropic values, this study seeks to demonstrate the relevance of the teachings of the Qur'an in creating a business model that not only prioritizes financial profit, but also social welfare. The method used is qualitative descriptive research with literature analysis. Data were collected from secondary sources, including books and academic articles, as well as related publications that explore the verses of the Qur'an on generosity. The findings of the study indicate that the principles contained in verses such as Surah Al-Imran 3:92 and Surah Al-Baqarah 2:261-262 underline the importance of goodwill, social responsibility, and wealth sharing to create a positive impact. Philanthropic start-ups, inspired by these teachings, can distribute profits to those in need and make social contributions an integral part of their business model. Thus, this study concludes that the implementation of the values ​​of generosity in the Qur'an can contribute significantly to the creation of better social and economic justice in Indonesia..

Abstract

This article discusses the interpretation approach, namely tafsir bi al matsur, tafsir bi al ra'yi, tafsir bi isyari. With the aim of knowing the explanation and differences of various approaches to the science of interpretation, namely tafsir bi al matsur, tafsir bi al ra'yi, tafsir bi isyari. This article uses qualitative research based on literature (library research) with a qualitative descriptive approach and descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study show the differences in interpretation methods between tafsir bi al matsur, namely the method of interpreting verses using other verses or the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, tafsir bi al ra'yi, namely interpretation taken based on ijtihad and the thoughts of the mufassir after knowing Arabic and its methods, legal arguments are addressed in the interpretation, while tafsir bi al isyari is an interpretation carried out based on existing or obscure signs and can be understood and known by people who have knowledge in their fields and have a high level of piety. Interpretation through interpretation of the verses of the Qur'an must be in accordance with or in line with the literal or apparent meaning of the verses of the Qur'an which are interpreted from various angles.

Abstract

Thematic learning strategy is the main approach in the 2013 Curriculum which aims to integrate various subjects in one theme, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Character Education. This approach is expected to be able to shape the character and spirituality of the students who are educated through contextual, active, and meaningful learning. This study aims to analyze the implementation of thematic learning strategies in PAI and Character Education subjects and identify the advantages and challenges faced. The method used is qualitative research with a literature review approach. Data were collected from various scientific articles and explained using content analysis techniques. The results of the study show that thematic learning strategies have characteristics that are centered on students, provide direct experience, and flexibly unite various subjects in one theme. This strategy increases learning motivation and encourages collaboration and critical thinking skills. However, its implementation still faces challenges such as lack of teacher understanding of the thematic curriculum, limited contextual open materials, and difficulties in evaluation. This strategy is implemented through three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. In conclusion, thematic learning strategies have great potential in increasing the effectiveness of PAI and Character Education learning. The success of implementing this strategy is highly dependent on the readiness of educators and the support of educational institutions in overcoming existing challenges.

Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia faces significant challenges, including public skepticism toward Islamic institutions, weak vision and mission, overloaded curricula, and low competitiveness of graduates in both national and global contexts. Globalization has intensified these challenges by transforming learning through information and communication technologies, making education more interactive and accessible, yet also introducing negative impacts such as commercialization and exposure to uncontrolled information. To remain relevant, Islamic educational institutions must revise their vision and mission, adapt to rapid environmental changes, and balance religious and general knowledge in their curricula. Institutions must produce graduates equipped with moral, intellectual, and practical skills to compete effectively in a globalized workforce. Addressing these challenges requires a holistic and strategic approach that emphasizes quality organizational culture, visionary leadership, and responsive management. By fostering ethical values, accountability, and innovation, Islamic educational institutions can develop graduates capable of thriving in a competitive global environment while maintaining religious integrity. This integrated approach ensures that Islamic education contributes meaningfully to national development, prepares students for global challenges, and strengthens the sustainability and relevance of Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia’s evolving socio-economic and technological landscape.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the SIHALAL application developed by the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH) in accelerating the halal certification process for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach to understand the extent to which the implementation of the SIHALAL application can improve service efficiency, process transparency, and ease of access for business actors. The results of the study show that the implementation of SIHALAL has contributed significantly to accelerating the halal certification process, with the number of certified MSMEs increasing from 220 units in 2022 to 512 units in 2024. This application has also been able to reduce the time required to apply for certification from 3-6 months to one to two months. However, the effectiveness of SIHALAL is still hampered by low digital literacy, limited internet access in rural areas, and a lack of technical assistance for MSME players. This study emphasizes that optimizing SIHALAL requires support from local governments, halal assistance institutions, and capacity building for business actors so that the halal certification digitization system can run more effectively and sustainably in supporting the strengthening of the sharia economic ecosystem in the region.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed how Generation Z—digital natives who rely heavily on online platforms—access and understand religious information. However, this accessibility has also increased their exposure to religious disinformation and intolerant narratives. This study aims to explore the development of digital literacy in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) as a preventive measure against the spread of religious disinformation among Generation Z. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research examines how teachers and students integrate digital literacy into PAI learning and how it strengthens students’ ability to verify and interpret online religious content critically and ethically. The findings indicate that digital literacy in PAI must extend beyond technical skills to include critical thinking, ethical responsibility, and Islamic values such as tabayyun (information verification). Effective strategies include improving teachers’ digital competence through continuous training, integrating digital literacy into the curriculum, fostering students’ digital ethics, providing equitable access to digital infrastructure, and conducting continuous evaluation. Strengthening digital literacy in PAI not only enhances students’ religious understanding but also builds resilience against misinformation, thereby nurturing a generation that is religiously moderate, critical, and wise in digital interactions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in shaping the character of religious moderation in students. Religious moderation is important amidst the diversity of Indonesian society in order to create an attitude of tolerance, mutual respect, and avoid extreme attitudes. The research method used is library research by reviewing various literature, journals, books, and previous research results relevant to the topic. The results show that PAI plays a strategic role in instilling the values ​​of religious moderation through learning that emphasizes the balance between faith and tolerance, a correct understanding of religious teachings, and the cultivation of noble morals. PAI helps students have an inclusive, fair perspective and respect for differences, so they are able to interact harmoniously in social life. In conclusion, PAI contributes significantly to shaping the character of religious moderation which is the foundation for creating harmony in schools and society. It plays a role in shaping students' religious knowledge, but also becomes a strategic tool in building the character of religious moderation, which is relevant to facing the challenges of multicultural life in the global era.
