Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Kahoot! as an evaluation tool in increasing student participation and engagement in the learning process of Social Studies, specifically on the topic of Social Mobility, among eighth-grade students at SMPIT Insan Permata Malang. The background of this research is the low interest of students in Social Studies and the potential of Kahoot! as a gamification platform to create an enjoyable learning environment. The research method used is qualitative, with data collected through participatory observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results of this study are expected to provide a concrete picture of the improvement in students' learning interest, participation, and engagement following the implementation of Kahoot! in evaluations. Pedagogical implications and recommendations for teachers and educational institutions will also be discussed.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of FL Studio in enhancing the understanding of theater material among students of class XI-1 at SMAN 9 Malang. FL Studio, as a music and audio production software, is used to support theater learning by offering a creative approach through sound processing, music, and audio effects. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and tests of material comprehension. The results indicate that the use of FL Studio can increase students' interest and engagement in theater learning, as well as deepen their understanding of theater elements such as music, sound, and effects in theater performances. Therefore, the application of FL Studio proves effective in enriching the theater learning process in class XI-1 at SMAN 9 Malang. This study suggests the use of multimedia technology as an innovative tool in performing arts education.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing the defragmenting method in learning Construction Cost Estimation (CCE) in class XI DPIB 1 at SMK Negeri 1 Singosari. The research background is based on the complexity of CCE material that demands high analytical skills, while many students still have difficulties in analogizing formulas, converting units, understanding basic cost concepts, and planning budgets. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the defragmenting method, which consists of the stages of identifying errors in the structure of thinking, scaffolding review, conflict cognitive, and disequilibration, was able to map and improve students' analytical skills significantly. The average score of student activities increased from the "sufficient" category to "good" with a success percentage of 57%, and the pretest to post-test scores increased by 62.2%. These findings confirm that the defragmenting method is effective in helping students group concepts systematically, overcome confusion in applying formulas and units, and increase confidence in solving CCE problems. Thus, the defragmenting method can be used as an alternative learning strategy to improve learning outcomes in the subject of Construction Cost Estimation in SMK.

Abstract

Kegiatan bimbingan teknis ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pelaku UMKM dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk pemasaran, pendaftaran produk secara daring, serta melakukan rebranding dan repacking produk agar lebih menarik bagi konsumen. Metode yang digunakan adalah diskusi panel dengan melibatkan narasumber dari berbagai bidang, seperti pemasaran digital, e-commerce, dan desain kemasan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada Rabu, 6 Agustus 2025 di Posko KKN Suka Asih dengan diikuti oleh peserta UMKM. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai strategi pemasaran online, tata cara pendaftaran produk di marketplace, dan teknik rebranding serta repacking yang efektif. Dampak langsung yang dirasakan adalah meningkatnya motivasi peserta untuk segera menerapkan strategi yang dipelajari.

Abstract

Collaboration is one of the essential 21st-century skills that students must master to prepare for increasingly complex global challenges. Observations at SDN Mojolangu 3 Malang revealed that although learning activities involved group discussions, students’ collaborative skills had not been optimized. Some students were passive and merely copied answers from peers. This study aims to improve students’ collaboration skills and academic achievement through the implementation of an inquiry-based learning model integrated with social-emotional learning. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of three stages: (1) Planning, (2) Action and Observation, and (3) Reflection. The results showed an increase in the implementation of the inquiry model from 85% to 100% by the teacher and from 80% to 98.3% by students, with a gain score of 1.00, categorized as a high improvement. Collaboration skill indicators also improved: Productive Work increased from a gain score of 0.04 (low) to 0.32 (moderate), Respecting Others from 0.11 to 0.32 (moderate), Compromise from 0.03 to 0.17 (still low), and Responsibility from 0.09 to 0.42 (moderate). Students' cognitive learning outcomes showed gain scores of 0.49 (from pre-cycle to cycle I) and 0.38 (from cycle I to cycle II), both categorized as moderate improvements.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach on the interest in learning mathematics of third grade students of SDN Sumbersari 3 Malang. The background of this study is the low interest of students in learning mathematics subjects which are considered difficult and boring. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experiment design type one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 20 third grade students. Data collection was carried out through a learning interest questionnaire given before and after the application of the RME approach. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results showed a significant increase in students' interest in learning mathematics after the application of the RME approach. Students became more active, enthusiastic, and involved in the learning process. This shows that the contextual and student-centered RME approach is able to increase their learning motivation. It can be concluded that the RME approach has a positive effect on students' interest in learning mathematics and can be used as an alternative interesting learning strategy at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the learning outcomes of physical fitness, specifically in the aspect of leg muscle explosiveness among the students of class X-4 at SMA Negeri 9 Malang through the traditional game method of sack racing. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles, consisting of stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection, carried out over 2 cycles with 1 meeting in each cycle. The results of the study indicate an improvement in physical fitness learning outcomes in terms of leg muscle explosiveness from the pre-cycle to the first cycle, and it continued to increase in the second cycle. The initial observation results showed a percentage of 54%, leading to actions taken in cycle 1 with a resulting percentage of 65%, followed by cycle 2 with a resulting percentage of 76%. The traditional sack race game method has proven to be effective as a learning medium that provides stimulation, benchmarks, and motivation for students to perform vertical jumping movements more effectively. This modification creates a more enjoyable and effective learning environment, thereby enhancing the students' long jump learning outcomes.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan awal bacaan Al-Qur’an anak serta menganalisis efektivitas model talaqqi dalam meningkatkan kelancaran bacaan di TPA Al-Hidayah Anam Koto Selatan. Pengabdian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi pustaka yang didukung observasi lapangan. Hasil menunjukkan kemampuan awal bacaan anak masih beragam, ditandai kesalahan makhraj, kurang lancar membaca, serta belum konsisten menerapkan tajwid dan tartil. Model talaqqi diterapkan melalui pemberian contoh oleh guru, peniruan siswa, koreksi langsung, dan pengulangan bacaan hingga benar. Hasil menunjukkan metode ini efektif meningkatkan ketepatan makhraj, kelancaran membaca, penerapan tajwid, dan kemampuan membaca secara tartil. Dengan penekanan pada interaksi langsung, koreksi berkelanjutan, dan pembiasaan membaca yang benar, model talaqqi direkomendasikan untuk pembinaan bacaan Al-Qur’an di TPA maupun lembaga pendidikan Islam lainnya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation and work discipline on employee performance at the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of Karangasem Regency. The research problem is motivated by the low level of employee motivation and discipline, which has resulted in suboptimal performance and public services. This study employed a quantitative approach with a causal research design. The population consisted of 50 civil servant employees, all of whom were selected as respondents through a census method. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Work discipline also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, work motivation and work discipline have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.756 indicates that 75.6% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by work motivation and work discipline, while the remaining 24.4% is influenced by other factors outside the study. These findings suggest that improving work motivation and work discipline is an important strategy for enhancing organizational effectiveness and the quality of public services.

Abstract

Desa Nuanaga, memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang memadai untuk menerapkannya. Kurangnya pemahaman mengenai konsep hidroponik, teknik budidaya yang tepat, serta pemeliharaan tanaman sering menjadi kendala dalam adopsi teknologi ini. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya pelatihan pertanian sistem hidroponik bagi masyarakat Desa Nuanaga agar mereka dapat memahami dan menguasai teknik budidaya ini dengan baik. Melalui pelatihan ini, diharapkan masyarakat dapat mengembangkan pertanian hidroponik secara mandiri dan berkelanjutan, sehingga tidak hanya meningkatkan hasil pertanian, tetapi juga menciptakan peluang ekonomi baru bagi warga desa. Hidroponik adalah suatu teknik bercocok tanam yang tidak menggunakan tanah sebagai media tumbuh, melainkan menggunakan air yang telah diperkaya dengan nutrisi. Metode pertanian hidroponik ini memiliki berbagai keunggulan dibandingkan dengan metode pertanian konvensional, di antaranya adalah efisiensi penggunaan lahan, penggunaan air yang lebih hemat, pertumbuhan tanaman yang lebih cepat, serta hasil panen yang lebih optimal dan berkualitas (Safriana, dkk., 2024). Dalam sistem hidroponik, nutrisi berperan sebagai pupuk siap pakai yang mengandung unsur hara makro dan mikro yang dibutuhkan tanaman, seperti nutrisi AB mix. Untuk memastikan tanaman tumbuh dengan baik dan menghasilkan panen yang optimal, kadar larutan nutrisi harus dipertahankan pada tingkat yang sesuai. Selain manfaatnya dalam bidang pertanian, hidroponik juga memiliki nilai sosial karena dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana edukasi dan pelatihan pertanian modern bagi berbagai kalangan, mulai dari anak-anak hingga orang dewasa. Selain itu, sistem ini dapat meningkatkan estetika lingkungan dengan menghadirkan konsep pertanian yang bersih dan sehat serta membuka peluang usaha agribisnis yang ramah lingkungan . Dengan penerapan hidroponik, masyarakat Desa Nuanaga diharapkan dapat mengembangkan sistem pertanian yang lebih modern, efisien, dan tetap menjaga keseimbangan ekologi, sehingga ketahanan pangan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat dapat terus terjaga dalam jangka panjang
