Abstract

JKLM is a manufacturing company engaged in the automotive industry. This company produces several automotive components from Japan. The higher market demand demands the conditions of operator safety and health who must always be healthy and fit to achieve maximum production results. Humans as labour resources have a very influential and significant role in carrying out the production process. Referring to this problem, an analysis was carried out on 2 final inspection operators using the Nordic body map, which is the questionnaire that is most often used to find out discomfort or pain in the body and can identify Work Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) from workers. The first thing to do in this research is to conduct a preliminary analysis, identify ergonomic risks experienced by final inspection operators and provide questionnaires to 2 operator respondents, namely the Nordic body map questionnaire. After the questionnaire was converted to a likert scale, the operator scores 1 (60 points) and operator 2 (51 points) which means that on that scale the level of risk that will occur is in the moderate category according to literature sources, which means that corrective action to the problem may be taken. Action at a later date. Furthermore, to add further cause analysis, the researcher added an interview to the operator and it was found that the body was influenced by non-ergonomic work area settings so that the worker's body positions in activities felt limited, causing problems in the body such as the worker's body often bending over resulting in back pain of workers. Abstract

Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is one of the products extracted from fresh-old-coconut using a simple method without the addition of synthetic chemicals and high heat. VCO is known as a functional oil as it has many health and beauty benefits. Kemranjen Subdistrict, located in Banyumas Regency, Central Java, is one of the VCO producing areas. However, most of the VCO craftsmen still face problems related to the low level of sales and consumer acceptance due to the quality of VCO products which are easily damaged during storage and distribution and the lack of consistency in the quality and quantity of the products because of the vary and uncertain raw materials from suppliers. One of solutions that can be applied is the "One Door" supply chain management design. This research is carried out by the survey method with MSME VCO in Kemrajen, Banyumas as the object of research. The sampling technique used in this study is the purposive sampling method. The initial stage of implementing the "One Door" supply chain management is to directly analyze the problems faced by the Kemrajen VCO Craftsmen, then provide solutions with the "One Door" system. The "One Door" system covers upstream (raw materials) to downstream (the products reach the consumers) processes, including: raw materials (grouping based on coconut grade); production and final products (grouping based on final product grade) with barcode system storage, distribution of products using FIFO (First One First Out) system; sales and marketing (grouping of consumer types). This system is expected to increase the quality and quantity of VCO products that can benefit producers and consumers. Keywords: VCO, VCO craftsmen, Supply Chain Management, One Door

Abstract

The Six sigma method is a method for improving the achievement of quality by means of a breakthrough, where the old model by means of Continuous Improvement cannot achieve a very critical target, namely 6 sigma, or 3.4 million defects from 1 million production or operations. Six sigma techniques have been implemented in many countries, first developed in 1986 by Bill Smith, Engineer at Motorola. Since then, it has been applied in many countries, because of its very effective use, especially such as the Aircraft Industry, Health Industry, and others that require reliability of up to 99, 999%. How about in Indonesia? Several companies have implemented this system, especially foreign companies, which are affiliated with Indonesian companies, as well as companies that have ventured overseas. This study uses quantitative research, by analyzing the Literature Review of the success of the Six Sigma program in the company based on the Leader's Vision and Mission, Organizational Culture, Discipline in running the program and the success of program implementation. Sampling of research was 60 international journals, and after in-depth research on 15 journals the following findings were found: There are four factors that have the greatest impact, namely (1) the need for top management commitment to the running of the Six Sigma program (2) training needs for the green belt team in the success of Six Sigma (3) Infrastructure needs to support the running of the Six Sigma program (4) The need for other supports such as: Business Strategy Linkages, Relationships with Customers, Changes in Organizational Culture and the need for Six Sigma Team Competencies Keywords: Six Sigma, Industrial Sector, Organizational Culture, Effectiveness of Program Implementation

Abstract

In a production process, optimal processing time is required. Jigs and fixtures are indispensable tools in the process of making components or workpieces to ensure their versatility and suitability. In addition, also to help simplify and speed up the work process. The problem that has occurred so far is the amount of time it takes just to install the body mic body so that the production results are less than optimal. In the electronics industry, especially in the assembly of parts on the body mic, it is always done manually so that the process takes longer. This becomes less effective in the production process. The purpose of making this study is to provide improvements that help simplify and speed up the body mic assembly process. Therefore, the jigs and fixtures were designed using the method of analysis with the remaining material, then assembling them with the specified design to facilitate the installation process. The designed tool is a tool for assembling the body part of the body mic. The results of this study show that using jigs and fixtures makes the process of assembling the body mic part faster and more efficient. Keywords: Body Mic, Jig, Fixture, Assembling

Abstract

Indonesia Car sales in Indonesia for the domestic market and CBU (Completely Built Up) export until the end of 2021 have increased by 35% compared to the previous year, when the spread of the corona virus was still very high. This fact indicates that people's purchasing power after the COVID-19 pandemic has gradually increased significantly. This gives a positive signal for each OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and automotive component suppliers to increase their productivity. Reducing downtime on a car production line is one way to increase productivity. Stamping is the first production process in car assembly, therefore it is very important to reduce downtime that occurs so that the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) of the engine increases. This study aims to determine the factors that cause the decrease in OEE value on the 800T stamping machine at PT XYZ and reduce downtime when dies change over time. By using the SMED (Single Minutes Exchange of Dies) method, downtime at the time of changing dies can be reduced from 17.1 minutes to 11.2 minutes, so the OEE value of the stamping machine can increase from 62.4% to 78.2%. Abstract

Quality control and handling of abnormalities is one of the important aspects to maintain the capability of the production process and keep the total defective products produced not exceeding 3300 ppm as a commitment of PT Schlemmer Automotive Indonesia in carrying out its production. An important benefit in the study of quality control and abnormality handling is to be able to learn how quality control measures are carried out and to study the root causes of problems that arise during the production process. Quality control is carried out using QC Seven Tools statistical tools in the form of checksheets, Pareto diagrams, cause-and-effect diagrams and why-why analysis. There are several anomalies that occur on the production floor. Among them are defects in the hinge. This hinge crack defect produces 109 ppm which has a major contribution to the occurrence of quality anomalies. From the analysis of the cause of the hinge crack, there are 3 material flows supplied by 3 different gates. The result of this study is that the highest defect was found in the 7278-9830-3W part with a hinge crack defect of 109 ppm. This is due to the presence of the meeting of the material in the hinge area, causing the material at the hinge to be inhomogeneous. Keywords: Pareto Diagram, QC Seven Tools, Why-Why Analysis

Abstract

The planning of the substructure of the building cannot be separated from the process of soil investigation to determine the bearing capacity of the soil to be supported by the building. The location of the mining area, especially in Central Kalimantan, is dominated by a layer of sand, so it is necessary to investigate the soil first to obtain the depth of the soil layer in the form of very dense sand with a qc of 155 – 250 kg/cm2. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the soil layer and the carrying capacity of the soil in the construction area of the KM 25 Workshop. The method used in this study was a literature study method and in-situ testing. Based on the test results from 6 test points, it was found that the soil layer at the research site was dominated by a layer of sand with a surface layer at a depth of 0.20 – 1.60 meters in the form of cohesive soil of very soft to soft consistency. Hard soil layers were found from 7.00 – 8.20 meters depth with a qc of 155 – 250 kg/cm2. Keywords: Sondir Test, Soil Bearing Capacity, Substructure, Dutch Cone Penetrometer Test
