Abstract

Assessing learning performance in Phase A students (6–7 years old) is crucial for promoting their cognitive, socio-emotional, and psychomotor development during this foundational stage of education. However, existing assessment frameworks often fail to address the holistic and developmental needs of this age group. This study aims to develop a comprehensive learning performance assessment framework tailored to Phase A students in elementary education. The framework was created through a systematic process involving a review of existing literature, expert judgment, and field testing in elementary schools. Its dimensions encompass cognitive skills, socio-emotional competencies, psychomotor skills, and creativity. Validation procedures included statistical analysis and expert panel reviews to ensure the framework’s reliability and applicability in diverse educational settings. The results demonstrate that the proposed framework effectively addresses existing gaps in assessment practices, providing educators with a robust tool to support holistic student development. The findings emphasize the importance of integrating multiple developmental dimensions into learning assessments and offer practical recommendations for classroom implementation. This study contributes to advancing educational assessment practices by advocating for tools aligned with the developmental characteristics of young learners. Future research should focus on longitudinal applications of the framework and its adaptability across various cultural and educational contexts.

Abstract

The transformation of learning in the post-pandemic era has heightened the demand for students’ skills in navigating real-world situations. This phenomenon necessitates both teachers and students to optimally prepare for the learning process, with authentic assessment serving as a strategic approach to address these challenges. This article aims to identify the challenges and benefits of implementing authentic assessment in the context of post-pandemic education in Indonesia and propose collaborative strategies as an innovative solution. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method based on a literature review, analyzing articles from reputable journals. Data were collected through selection, presentation, and conclusion-drawing processes. The findings reveal that authentic assessment offers significant benefits for both teachers and students, such as enhancing the relevance of learning to real-world needs and developing critical skills. However, several challenges persist, including the substantial time and cost requirements, pressure on teachers to design effective assessments, and student anxiety over unfamiliar assessment formats. To address these challenges, collaborative strategies between teachers and students are proposed as an innovative approach. These strategies involve intensive communication, joint planning, and continuous evaluation to optimize the implementation of authentic assessment. The novelty of this study lies in developing a collaborative approach to respond to the specific challenges of the post-pandemic era. Recommendations include integrating collaborative strategies into the education curriculum and providing teacher training to enhance the effectiveness of authentic assessments. These findings make a significant contribution to the development of social sciences and humanities, particularly in the context of educational reform in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of digital transformation policies in Kajowair Village, Nusa Tenggara Timur, through the Village Information and Service Management System (Simpeldesa). Utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected via in-depth interviews, field observations, document analysis, and literature reviews involving 15 key informants, including village officials and community members. The findings reveal that Simpeldesa implementation reflects strong policy disposition and effective coordination facilitated by a simplified bureaucratic structure. However, limited communication outreach, inadequate infrastructure, and low digital literacy pose significant challenges to inclusive digitalization. Despite only 51.88% internet penetration, village-level commitment and resource allocation have enabled substantial initial progress, with 50% of administrative data successfully digitized. This research offers new insights into rural e-government implementation by applying Edward III’s policy implementation framework—emphasizing communication, resources, disposition, and structure. The novelty lies in its micro-level focus on a single village, rarely explored in policy studies. The study contributes to the theoretical discourse on digital governance in rural areas while providing practical recommendations for enhancing infrastructure, community engagement, and digital capacity-building. These findings serve as a valuable reference for policymakers and scholars seeking to understand and replicate successful digital transformation models in similar village contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and characterize the effectiveness of developing the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model integrated with group work projects to improve students’ writing skills. A mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods, was employed in this research. The study utilized a pretest-posttest design for both control and experimental classes. The participants were fifth-semester English Education students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Lancang Kuning University, with samples drawn from two classes: Regular A and Regular B. Writing tests served as the primary instrument for data collection. The STAD model integrated with group work projects was implemented in Regular A as the experimental class, while the conventional teaching method was applied in Regular B as the control class. The findings revealed that in the business letter writing test, the experimental class scored an average of 76.13, indicating a good quality rating, whereas the control class scored an average of 67.22, with some ideas and supporting evidence lacking. From the first to the sixth meeting, the experimental class demonstrated significant improvement in their business letter writing performance. The students showed an enhanced ability to provide the required information, respond to questions, and include additional details when prompted. They were trained to adhere to proper writing mechanics and to produce writing that is clear, vivid, precise, and specific. The novelty of this research lies in integrating the STAD model with group work projects, which proved effective in improving students’ writing skills, particularly in the context of business letter writing. This study recommends applying similar models in diverse learning contexts to foster broader writing skills development, thereby contributing to advancements in educational practices within the social and humanities fields.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of quality seeds, fertilizers, and land size in increasing farmers’ income, specifically in Kaway XVI District, West Aceh Regency. A quantitative method was employed, involving 96 randomly selected farmers as the sample. Primary data were collected through questionnaires, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to evaluate the influence of each variable on farmers’ income. The results revealed that quality seeds did not have a significant effect on farmers’ income (p = 0.488 > 0.05), leading to the rejection of the first hypothesis (H1). In contrast, fertilizers had a significant impact on farmers’ income (p = 0.003 < 0.05), supporting the second hypothesis (H2). Additionally, land size also significantly influenced farmers’ income (p = 0.000 < 0.05), supporting the third hypothesis (H3). Collectively, the variables of quality seeds, fertilizers, and land size had a positive and significant influence on farmers’ income. These findings provide new insights into the study of farmers’ economic resilience, emphasizing the importance of optimizing fertilizer use and expanding land as key strategies to improve farmers’ income. Furthermore, the role of quality seeds requires further evaluation to understand other factors that may affect their effectiveness. This study recommends policy interventions focused on improving farmers’ access to quality fertilizers and efficient land management to support economic resilience in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of village governments in the development of cultural ecotourism-based tourism by examining four key tourism components: attractions, supporting facilities, accessibility, and additional services. A qualitative approach was employed, using observation and in-depth interviews as data collection techniques, focusing on Abiansemal Village, Badung Regency. The findings reveal that Abiansemal Village offers main attractions such as jogging trails with natural rice field panoramas, historic traditional bathing facilities, and the Melasti Site for self-purification rituals. However, supporting facilities in the village still require development to enhance tourist comfort. Accessibility to destinations is relatively adequate, but additional services, such as the involvement of investors and community elements, need improvement to ensure tourism sustainability. This study highlights the importance of collaboration between village governments, local communities, and private sectors in managing cultural ecotourism-based tourism. As a novel contribution, this research provides insights into how village governments can play a strategic role in managing sustainable tourism at the local level. Recommendations include strengthening infrastructure, enhancing local community capacity, and implementing collaborative strategies to support the development of social sciences and humanities in the context of sustainable tourism.

Abstract

Purchase decision is a crucial aspect of marketing strategy, especially in the highly competitive mineral water industry. This study aims to analyze the influence of price, product quality, and promotion on the purchase decision of Club brand mineral water in the Jabodetabek area. The research employs a quantitative approach by collecting primary data through a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms. The study sample consists of 125 respondents who are Club mineral water consumers in Jabodetabek, selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted through respondent characteristic tests, descriptive statistical analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, normality tests, t-tests, F-tests, and hypothesis testing. Conversely, product quality is proven to have a significant influence on purchase decisions, with a significance value of 0,006 and a t-value of 2,822, which exceeds the t-table value. The promotion factor also has a significant influence, with a significance value of 0,000 and a t-value of 5,036. These findings suggest that consumers prioritize product quality and the effectiveness of promotions over price when making purchase decisions for Club brand mineral water. The novelty of this study lies in its specific analysis of consumer preferences within the mineral water product category in Jabodetabek, as well as the role of promotion as a more dominant determinant of purchase decisions compared to price. The implications of this study provide recommendations for marketing strategy developers, particularly in the bottled beverage industry, to focus more on quality improvement and promotional innovation to attract consumers. From a social sciences and humanities perspective, these findings contribute to consumer behavior studies within the context of microeconomics and value perception-based marketing strategies.

Abstract

Earnings quality is a crucial indicator that reflects the reliability of a company’s financial information. Retail companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) are expected to present financial reports with high-quality earnings to support accurate decision-making by both internal and external users. This study aims to analyze the impact of profit growth, capital structure, and liquidity on earnings quality in Indonesian retail companies during the 2019–2023 period. This research employs a quantitative approach using purposive sampling, resulting in a sample of 27 retail companies analyzed over five years. The data used are secondary data from corporate financial reports, and the analysis is conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The findings indicate that profit growth, capital structure, and liquidity have a significant positive effect on earnings quality. These results confirm that these three factors play a crucial role in generating more reliable earnings information. The novelty of this study lies in the simultaneous examination of the impact of profit growth, capital structure, and liquidity on earnings quality in the retail sector over the 2019–2023 period, which has not been extensively explored holistically in the context of Indonesia’s capital market. This research contributes to the development of social sciences, particularly in accounting and finance theories, specifically regarding the determinants of earnings quality. Additionally, it provides practical recommendations for company management in preparing more transparent and relevant financial reports. For investors, the findings of this study serve as a valuable reference in assessing a company’s financial health, helping to avoid potential investment losses caused by poor earnings quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of product quality and price on the purchase decisions of Brand Executive in South Tangerang. In an increasingly competitive digital era, understanding the key factors affecting consumer behavior is essential for business sustainability in the fashion industry. Using a quantitative method, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 140 respondents. Regression analysis showed that product quality had a significant influence on purchase decisions, with a regression coefficient of 0,56, a t-value of 5,783 (greater than the t-table value of 1,660), and a significance value of 0,000 (< 0,05). In contrast, price did not have a significant effect on purchase decisions, with a regression coefficient of 0,149, a t-value of 1,247 (lower than the t-table value), and a significance value of 0,214 (> 0,05). These results indicate that consumer perception of product quality is the dominant factor in purchase decision-making, whereas price is not a primary determinant in the competitive fashion market, especially in e-commerce ecosystems such as TikTok Shop. The novelty of this study lies in exploring the role of price in the dynamics of the digital fashion market, showing that product differentiation based on quality has a greater impact than pricing strategies. These findings provide recommendations for Brand Executive managers to prioritize product quality innovation to enhance consumer loyalty. Academically, this study contributes to consumer behavior research in the fashion industry and enriches social sciences and humanities studies related to consumer value-based marketing strategies.
