Abstract

This study aims to analyze branding and product differentiation strategies in optimizing the export of creative economy-based furniture SMEs, with a case study on CV Delta Raya. In facing global competition, export-oriented furniture SMEs require marketing strategies that not only enhance competitiveness in international markets but also create unique values that represent the strength of the local creative economy. Strong branding helps build a positive company image in global markets, while product differentiation ensures competitive advantages that appeal to international consumers. This research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach on CV Delta Raya’s export-oriented furniture SMEs. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the business owner, direct observation of marketing strategies, and document analysis related to branding, promotion, and product design. The findings indicate that CV Delta Raya has utilized creative economy-based branding through environmentally friendly product positioning, vintage designs with artistic value, and the use of the Timber Legality Verification System (SVLK) as an element of trust in international markets. Product differentiation strategies were implemented by emphasizing production quality, alignment with global design trends, and product customization according to buyer requirements. However, weaknesses remain in digital promotion and limited penetration into new markets beyond existing buyers. In conclusion, branding and product differentiation strategies based on the creative economy have proven effective in strengthening the global market position of furniture SMEs in Batu. To maximize their potential, digital branding enhancement, international market diversification, and collaboration with government and trade associations are recommended to facilitate global promotion.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of product innovation and promotion through creative content strategies on social media on the performance of halal-certified Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bone Regency. Product innovation and promotion are strategic factors that can enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs, particularly in the digital era where social media has become the primary marketing channel. The research employed a quantitative approach with an associative method and the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analysis technique. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 140 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument utilized a 5-point Likert scale, which had passed validity and reliability testing. The results indicate that product innovation has no significant effect on creative content strategies on social media (t=0.453, p = 0.651) and MSME performance (t=0.265, p= 0.791). Conversely, promotion significantly affects creative content strategies on social media (t = 8.727, p0.000) and MSME performance (t = 2.106, p = 0.036). Creative content strategies on social media have a significant effect on MSME performance (t = 7.261, p = 0.000). Furthermore, creative content strategies significantly mediate the relationship between promotion and MSME performance (t = 5.197, p = 0.000), but do not mediate the relationship between product innovation and MSME performance (t = 0.449, p = 0.653). The implications of these findings suggest that promotion packaged through creative content strategies on social media plays an important role in enhancing the performance of halal-certified MSMEs. Meanwhile, product innovation needs to be supported by relevant marketing strategies to contribute effectively to performance. Therefore, business actors, the government, and other stakeholders should focus on improving digital marketing skills to maximize the potential of social media promotion.

Abstract

Product photos play a crucial role in today’s digital trade as they serve as a visualization of goods, function as a marketing strategy, and assist consumers in making purchasing decisions. However, due to the ease of access provided by the internet, many business actors face problems, one of which is the misuse of product photos by other parties without the owner’s consent, which may harm business actors and create unfair competition. This study aims to analyze the legal protection available to business actors against the unauthorized use of product photos on the Tokopedia marketplace and to examine this issue from the perspective of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Fatwa No. 24 of 2017 concerning Guidelines for Interaction in Social Media. The research employs a normative legal method with a conceptual approach and utilizes two types of data sources, namely primary and secondary. The findings indicate that product photos are creative works protected under the Copyright Law, and their unauthorized use constitutes a violation. Tokopedia has provided an intellectual property (IP) reporting mechanism and imposes sanctions on the unauthorized use of product photos. From the perspective of MUI Fatwa No. 24 of 2017, such actions are prohibited (haram) as they are considered misleading, deceitful, infringing upon intellectual property rights, and causing harm. The study concludes that the unauthorized use of product photos constitutes a violation of both positive law and Islamic law. Although legal protection for business actors is already available, greater dissemination of the MUI fatwa and consumer education are necessary to foster a fair and trustworthy digital marketplace.

Abstract

The management of Village Fund Allocation (ADK) in Berau Regency is a crucial concern as it relates to effective, transparent, and sustainable village development. The Village and Community Empowerment Agency (DPMK) acts as a facilitator and supervisor, while the organizational commitment of village officials and community oversight are determining factors in the accountability of ADK management. This research is important to examine the relationship between the role of DPMK, organizational commitment, and community oversight with the accountability of ADK management through the comprehensive implementation of SISKEUDES. The purpose of this study is to analyze in depth how the role of the Village Fund Management Agency (DPMK), organizational commitment, and community oversight influence the accountability of ADK management in Berau Regency, with the implementation of SISKEUDES as an intervening variable. This study employed a qualitative method with a literature review approach. Various sources, such as national journals, government reports, and previous research findings, were analyzed thematically. The literature review shows that the active role of the Village Fund Management Agency (DPMK) in training and mentoring improves village officials' understanding of the use of SISKEUDES. Strong organizational commitment encourages transparency in financial reporting, while community oversight has been shown to improve procedural compliance. This study concludes that the synergy of the roles of the Village Fund Management Agency (DPMK), organizational commitment, and community oversight significantly influences the accountability of ADK management in Berau Regency.

Abstract

Islamic business ethics is a fundamental foundation in shaping economic behavior that is in line with sharia values. This study aims to analyze the application of Islamic business ethics principles in buying and selling transactions at Pabean Market, Sedati, Sidoarjo. The market, initially designed as a tourist market offering Sidoarjo’s local products, has increasingly functioned as a traditional market serving the daily needs of the surrounding community. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Informants consisted of five traders and five buyers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation and member checking. The findings indicate that the implementation of Islamic business ethics in Pabean Market is relatively satisfactory, particularly in the principles of equilibrium, free will, and responsibility. Traders generally sell their products honestly, do not coerce buyers, provide fair services, and are willing to replace defective goods. However, the principles of unity (tauhid) and benevolence (ihsan) have not been fully practiced. This is evident in the inconsistency of some traders in performing obligatory prayers on time and the limited application of benevolence, such as granting credit or showing additional kindness, which tends to be reserved for loyal customers. This study emphasizes the necessity of internalizing Islamic ethical values in every business activity, as they not only strengthen consumer trust and loyalty but also bring spiritual blessings to business actors. Thus, the implementation of Islamic business ethics supports business sustainability while also contributing positively to social welfare and the continuity of the local economy.

Abstract

In the digital age, healthcare professionals are required to possess not only healthcare competencies but also financial and digital literacy to support better financial management and investment decision-making. Unhealthy financial behaviors, such as excessive spending and minimal allocation of funds for investment, are major obstacles. Additionally, low skills in utilizing digital platforms increase the risk of becoming a victim of fraudulent investments. This research aims to address this phenomenon by studying healthcare workers in Berau Regency, using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. The research findings indicate that financial literacy does not directly influence the financial behavior of healthcare workers. Conversely, digital literacy and income have a positive and significant influence on financial behavior. Research has proven that favorable financial behavior not only enhances investment decision-making ability but also significantly mediates the influence of digital literacy and income on investment decisions. Financial literacy also has a positive direct impact on investment decisions, but this influence is not mediated by financial behavior, while digital literacy does not have a direct impact on investment decisions. Revenue plays an important role in supporting optimal and sustainable investment decisions. This finding provides a basis for the government and the Berau District Health Office to design financial and digital literacy education programs. Furthermore, this study's findings offer valuable insights to healthcare professionals about managing income and making investments that promote long-term well-being.
