Dawatuna: Journal of Communication and Islamic Broadcasting  is a peer-reviewed national journal on communication, dakwah, broadcasting, education and Islamic studies managed by Institut Agama Islam Nasional (IAI-N) Laa Roiba Bogor in cooperation with Masyarakat Ekonomi Syariah (MES) and Intelectual Association for Islamic Studies (IAFORIS) .  This journal focused on communication, dakwah, broadcasting, education, and Islamic studies  through the publication of articles, research reports, and book reviews. The Journal is published The Journal is published four time a year on January, April, July,  and October. The aim of the journal is to disseminate the communication, dakwah, broadcasting, and Islamic studies researches done by researchers. Specifically, the journal will deal with topics, including but not limited to: Broadcasting, Communication, Dakwah & Islamic propagation, Islamic education,  Islamic studies, Islamic education, and other related issues. Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of Radio Bharata Bhaktinusa Tangerang as a literacy media in voicingissues and information to the public. This study uses qualitative research methods using uses andgratifications theory to understand how audiences use radio as a source of information and entertainment,as well as how Radio Bharata Bhaktinusa Tangerang operates as an information medium. Data wascollected through in-depth interviews with radio listeners, observations, and conducting interviews withRadio Bharata Bhaktinusa Tangerang. The research results show that Radio Bharata Bhaktinusa plays animportant role in providing relevant and educational information, as well as helping to increase publicliteracy about social, cultural and political issues. Listening to the radio utilizes this media not only to getinformation, but also for entertainment. This research provides insight into the importance of radio aseffective communication in disseminating information and building literacy in society in order to overcomehoax news.

Abstract

This research is entitled "The Influence of Website Quality www.pajak.go.id on the Image of the Directorate General of Taxes (Survey at the East Tangerang Tax Service Office)". This research aims to find out what influence the quality of the website www.pajak.go.id has on the image of the Directorate General of Taxes at East Tangerang Tax Service Office.This research uses Stimulus-Response Theory, the basic assumption of this theory is that certain verbal words, nonverbal signals, techniques and symbols will cause other people to respond in a certain way. The paradigm used in this research is the positivism paradigm with descriptive quantitative research methods. Researchers used data collection techniques through questionnaires with the SPSS measuring tool. The population used in this research were taxpayers within the East Tangerang Tax Service Office, totaling 114,311 with a sample of 100 respondents. The results of this research show that there is a positive and significant influence of the website quality variabel on image as shown by the results of the coefficient of determination analysis test which shows that the R Square Value is 0.199 or if converted into a percent, it is 19.9%, which means it can be concluded that there is an influence on the quality of the website www .pajak.go.id on the image of the Directorate General of Taxes in the East Tangerang Tax Service Office.

Abstract

The Cisadane Festival is an annual event organised with the aim of preserving culture in Tangerang City.  This festival is one of the large and lively tourist agendas because there are various interesting events presented. Thus, it needs to be promoted to increase the number of tourist visits. This research aims to analyse and find out how the Tourism Communication of the Tangerang City Culture and Tourism Office in promoting the Cisadane Festival held in Tangerang City, as well as to examine the obstacles that exist in the promotion process carried out. This research uses the theory of integrated marketing communication, with the method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that tourism communication used by Disbudpar Tangerang City in promoting the Cisadane Festival integrated the promotion mix. This can be seen from the utilisation of various types of media: print media such as Live magazine and Kota Benteng newspaper, outdoor media such as banners and billboards, and electronic media which includes online media coverage and social media content. Barriers to promotional activities are due to marketing budget factors, urgent event readiness, and the lack of optimisation of the Tangerang Live service application.

Abstract

The involvement of orphaned beneficiaries in the character development program emphasizes the importance of a personal and persuasive approach to motivate active participation. This research uses the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theory to understand how persuasive message delivery influences the audience, focusing on the stimulus as a key element. With the right communication strategies, it is hoped that these beneficiaries will not only attend out of obligation but also because they understand the long-term benefits they will gain. A qualitative method with a case study approach is used to describe the importance of this program in developing the self-concept of the orphans. The research results show that the core finding, when linked to the S-O-R theory, is that the persuasive communication techniques used by the facilitators (stimulus) successfully motivated the orphans (organism) to participate more actively in the character development program, as seen in the increase in attendance and positive attitude changes (response). Communication barriers were also successfully overcome, enhancing the effectiveness of the techniques used. The techniques of association, integration, and itching device were effective in motivating the children, despite obstacles from both the facilitators and beneficiaries. Overall, the response to persuasive communication in 2024 showed improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of positive content in the @aldila.aap tiktok account and how much influence it has on increasing followers' self-healing. This study uses a positivism paradigm descriptive quantitative research type, data collection techniques obtained through distributing questionnaires using google form. Researchers used simple linear regression analysis and the coefficient of determination and processed using SPSS 25. The population in this study were followers of @aldila.aap with a sample calculation of 100 respondents, and used purposive sampling. Researchers use uses and gratification theory, the assumption of this theory emphasises the active role of users where users actively choose and use media to meet their needs and goals. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive influence in the tiktok account @aldila.aap on increasing self-healing indicated by the results of the T test which shows 8.368> t table 1.664 and 0.000 <0.05 that the positive content @aldila.aap has a positive and significant effect on increasing followers' self-healing. In the coefficient of determination test, the data results show a value of 0.417 or 41.7%, which means that the variable that occurs to increase self-healing followers is caused by the positive content variable @aldila.aap, the rest is influenced by other variables or outside the study.

Abstract

The aim of the research carried out is to find out how the meaning of denotation, connotation and myth is analyzed in Bobon Santoso's YouTube content in the Kuali Merah Putih episode so as to build the spirit of nationalism in the audience. Data collection was carried out using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, literature study and documentation so that in the end it created a conclusion about the meaning of the Kuali Merah Putih denotation, namely the spirit of nationalism is depicted in scenes where activities such as flag ceremonies, singing the national anthem, regional art performances become media in instilling noble values. nation and nationalism in everyday life and also in the world of elementary school children's education. The connotation meaning, Kuali Merah Putih is the stretching of the Red and White flag along the road which involves all elements of Papuan society. A narrative that makes it clear that the Red and White is still flying high in the land of Papua even though it is on the edge of Indonesia and rarely receives attention from the government. And the myth, the Red and White Cauldron, namely the spirit of nationalism, should be spread from an early age and from the tip of Aceh to Papua there without distinction between language, ethnicity and other differences.

Abstract

This study discusses the utilization of the Library Digital Information System Service (SINDITAKA) by final semester students at Medan Area University. This study focuses on the use of digital information systems to facilitate library catalog searches and improve the quality of information services. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The informants in this study were the head of the Library and Archives at Medan Area University. Data were collected from documents, interviews, field notes, and observations. The results of the study indicate that SINDITAKA provides access to various digital collections, including printed books, e-books, and e-journals, which make it easier for students to find information.

Abstract

Currently, digital developments encourage all business actors, both large, medium, small, and MSMEs, to intensively use social media as part of an integrated marketing communications strategy (integrated marketing communications). Except for office stationery (ATK) manufacturers in Indonesia, who are focused on working on the stationery market in the midst of the era of digitalization, as well as the threat of products from China and the addition of intense domestic competition, resulting in the rise of counterfeit products in this sector. This research aims to analyze in more depth digital communication patterns through the use of social media from stationery manufacturers using qualitative research methods with comparative case studies. The research was conducted over a period of 14 days, in 1-14 June 2024, by looking at patterns and comparisons of digital communication on the Instagram platform from 5 stationery manufacturers in Indonesia who have used social media optimally, especially ahead of the New Academic Year. The research results show that 5 stationery manufacturers in Indonesia have used social media as a communication channel to the public in order to improve brand image and increase brand awareness, but this needs to be improved in several ways in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to determine that conflict in an organization is an unavoidable phenomenon due to differences in interests, goals, and perceptions among members. Proper conflict management is the key to maintaining work effectiveness and stability in an organization. This study aims to identify various types of conflicts that often occur in organizations and to examine effective negotiation strategies in managing these conflicts. Using the literature study method, this study analyzes various academic sources and practices related to negotiation in the context of organizational conflict management. The results of the study indicate that understanding the root causes of conflict, implementing appropriate negotiation strategies, and managing success factors such as cooperation, compromise, avoidance, competition, and adaptation play an important role in achieving mutually beneficial agreements. However, this study also reveals various obstacles that often arise in the negotiation process, such as individual ego, unclear goals, and power imbalances between conflicting parties. The implications of this study provide guidance for managers to optimize negotiation strategies to create more effective conflict resolution.

Abstract

In the work environment, employees definitely have different identities such as origin, religion, ethnicity and education. However, these differences do not affect the condition of the company unless accompanied by bad behavior from the employees employed there. Inappropriate behavior disrupts communication and communication effectiveness. This creates conflict between employees in both horizontal and vertical relationships. conflict is a dispute between two or more parties who argue due to lack of status or resources and attempt to control or control each other through damage, loss, or other controlled means, resulting in the following consequences Damaging the relationship between the parties. Forms of conflict that often occur in the work environment, namely interpersonal conflict, conflict between groups, and conflict between parts of the organization. Conflict can create positive and negative impacts in the work environment. Conflict can be controlled with appropriate conflict management strategies, one of which is using a conflict management strategy with the Interest-Based Relational Approach (IBRA) introduced by Fisher and Ury, namely by (1) Separating people from problems, (2) Focusing on interests, not a position, (3) Invent options for mutual gain, and (4) Insist on using Objective criteria. By implementing the right strategies, conflict can become an opportunity for organizations to innovate, improve internal processes, and build stronger relationships among employees.
