Abstract

In the era of globalization and digitalization, education is not only required to develop cognitive abilities but also to be responsible for the formation of character and noble morals of students. The phenomenon of moral degradation among adolescents demonstrates the need for the involvement of all teachers, including English teachers, in moral education. This study aims to explore English teachers' views on students' moral behavior in the learning process based on the perspective of Quranic moral values. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative design. The subjects were English teachers at the junior and senior high school levels selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and documentation studies, then analyzed using interpretive thematic analysis. The results showed that teachers viewed honesty, responsibility, discipline, politeness, and mutual respect as important moral aspects that can be observed and developed in English learning. Quranic values, such as ihsan, exemplary behavior, and respect for others, serve as a normative framework in understanding student behavior. This study concludes that English teachers have a strategic role as moral educators and are able to integrate moral education contextually into language learning to support holistic educational goals.

Abstract

This study examines the role of the Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah (ABS-SBK) philosophy in shaping religious social capital and kinship networks among Minangkabau traders in the multi-ethnic and multi-religious city of Medan. The background of this research is rooted in the ability of Minangkabau traders to maintain their traditional and religious identities within modern economic activities. This study aims to analyze how the ABS-SBK philosophy influences business ethics and the patterns of kinship networks in Minangkabau trading practices in Medan. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, utilizing observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, supported by source triangulation. The findings indicate that ABS-SBK functions as a moral guideline and a form of religious social capital that fosters trust, solidarity, and perceived business blessings. Kinship networks are formed through blood relations, shared regional origins, and customary-religious commitments, which are practiced through principles of mutual assistance, cooperation, and trust. In conclusion, the ABS-SBK philosophy serves not only as a cultural and religious identity but also as a relevant economic strategy and a model of local wisdom-based business ethics in the modern era.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing use of social media as a digital marketing tool, which is considered potential to support the development of school retail businesses, especially in Vocational High Schools. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of social media in improving the performance of school retail businesses at SMK Bumi Sejahtera Cibungbulang, reviewed from the aspects of marketing reach, interaction with consumers, and its impact on sales. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, through data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation of managers and related parties in the school retail business. The results and discussion indicate that the use of social media, especially through visual content and two-way communication, can increase the visibility of retail businesses, expand market reach, and encourage increased purchasing interest and consumer loyalty, despite still facing limitations in digital literacy and consistent content management. The conclusion of this study confirms that social media has a strategic role in the development of school retail businesses and has the potential to be an effective means of learning entrepreneurship if supported by increased human resource capacity and sustainable digital strategy management.

Abstract

The application of renewable energy technologies is an important strategy to support sustainable development at the community level. This community service program aimed to implement the concept of green technology through the installation of solar-powered street lighting in RT 07 RW 01, Dusun Sidasari, Sidabowa Village, Banyumas Regency. The program employed a participatory and appropriate technology–based approach, in which community members were actively involved in all stages of the activity, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation stages comprised site surveys and location mapping, coordination with local partners, socialization and education on solar energy utilization, collaborative installation of solar street lights, and evaluation through questionnaire-based surveys. The results indicate that all stages of the program were successfully conducted and received very positive responses from the community. Based on the satisfaction survey involving 20 respondents, the majority strongly agreed that the program was relevant to community needs, provided tangible benefits, and enhanced public understanding of renewable energy utilization. This community service activity not only produced renewable energy–based street lighting infrastructure but also fostered greater awareness and participation among community members in supporting clean energy adoption and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

Quantum Learning and Quantum Teaching are innovative educational approaches that emphasize the creation of a positive, meaningful, and engaging learning environment to optimize students’ learning potential. These theories are rooted in cognitive psychology, neuroscience, and constructivist learning principles, focusing on the integration of emotional, physical, and intellectual aspects in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the concepts of Quantum Learning and Quantum Teaching and examine their implementation in Islamic education. Using a qualitative literature review method, this research analyzes various academic sources, including books, journal articles, and relevant educational studies. The findings indicate that the implementation of Quantum Learning and Quantum Teaching in Islamic education can enhance students’ motivation, learning engagement, and academic achievement. Moreover, these approaches align with the values of Islamic education, which emphasize holistic human development encompassing spiritual, moral, emotional, and intellectual dimensions. The application of strategies such as contextual learning, meaningful interaction, positive reinforcement, and active learning contributes to the creation of an effective and student-centered learning environment. Therefore, Quantum Learning and Quantum Teaching are considered relevant and effective approaches for improving the quality of Islamic education in contemporary educational contexts.

Abstract

 The purpose of this study is to comparatively analyze humanistic and constructivist learning theories from Western and Islamic psychological perspectives. This study aims to synthesize the concepts of self-actualization and knowledge construction with the values of fitrah and tauhid (theology) in order to formulate an integrative, holistic, and relevant pedagogical framework for the development of contemporary Islamic education.

Abstract

Farmers in Muntang Village, Kemangkon, Purbalingga, face substantial crop losses due to bird attacks during the ripening stage of rice cultivation. Conventional deterrents such as scarecrows and hanging cans have become ineffective as birds have adapted to their static nature. This community engagement initiative implements an automatic, solar-powered bird-repellent system combining ultrasonic sensors, servo-driven mechanical noise elements, and electronic buzzers. The stages included system design, component procurement, device assembly, field installation, farmer training, and performance evaluation. Two units were successfully deployed in the rice fields, demonstrating effective responses to bird movement. More than twenty farmers participated in hands-on training and increased their understanding of appropriate agricultural technology. Initial field observations indicated reduced bird intrusion, improved crop protection, and enhanced labor efficiency. This initiative contributes to food security at the village level and supports the adoption of simple smart-farming innovations in rural agricultural settings.

Abstract

Discussions on teacher entrepreneurship (teacherpreneurship) are increasingly prominent in line with the growing demands of modern education, which emphasizes creativity, independence, and innovative abilities of educators. However, this discourse is often framed by a secular perspective that emphasizes productivity and material gain as the primary orientation. As a result, spiritual values and divine ethics are often diminished. Based on this situation, this paper attempts to reinterpret the concept of teacherpreneurship through an Islamic approach, referring to the principles of hablumminallah and hablumminannas as moral and philosophical foundations. Based on a literature review and theoretical studies on Islamic education and entrepreneurship, the concept of Islamic Teacherpreneurship is proposed as a form of entrepreneurship that emphasizes not only economic aspects but also strengthens awareness of worship and social benefits. The hablumminallah perspective directs the role of teachers so that their efforts are worshipful and full of integrity, while hablumminannas demands a real contribution to the environment and society. Thus, this model can be an alternative to secular patterns that tend to be materialistic and open new opportunities for strengthening teachers' entrepreneurial character in a more comprehensive and meaningful way. This study also provides recommendations for the concept of Islamic Teacherpreneurship to be further developed through empirical studies in educational institutions.

Abstract

This community service program aims to provide assistance in instilling moral and spiritual values through animated films about the stories of the Prophets at the Literacy Corner of Kampung Pasir. Moral and spiritual education is a fundamental aspect of character building, especially for children, who are in a critical stage of personal and social development. However, the rapid development of technology and the dominance of entertainment-oriented media have reduced children’s exposure to educational content that emphasizes moral and spiritual values. Therefore, innovative and engaging learning media are needed to support character education within the community.This program employed a descriptive qualitative approach to describe the implementation process and outcomes of the mentoring activities. The participants were elementary school–aged children who actively joined activities at the Literacy Corner of Kampung Pasir. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation during the mentoring sessions. The activities were conducted by screening animated films depicting the stories of the Prophets, followed by guided discussions and reflections to help children understand and internalize the moral and spiritual values conveyed in the films.The results indicate that the use of animated films about the stories of the Prophets effectively attracted children’s interest and enhanced their engagement in learning activities. The children demonstrated an improved understanding of moral and spiritual values such as honesty, patience, empathy, obedience to God, and mutual respect. Furthermore, positive changes in attitudes and behaviors were observed, including increased discipline, respect for others, and the ability to apply the values learned in their daily lives. The mentoring activities also strengthened the role of the Literacy Corner as a non-formal learning space that supports character education within the community.In conclusion, mentoring activities using animated films about the stories of the Prophets can be an effective approach to fostering moral and spiritual values among children in community-based literacy programs. Continuous implementation and collaboration among stakeholders are recommended to ensure the sustainability and long-term impact of character education initiatives.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that many children at the Reading and Language Literacy Corner are still unable to read the Qur’an properly and correctly in accordance with the rules of tajwid, as well as their limited understanding of Qur’anic recitation principles. If correct Qur’anic reading is not introduced and practiced from an early age, children may encounter difficulties in understanding and applying the rules of tajwid in later stages. Based on this condition, tajwid learning activities were conducted using an engaging, enjoyable, and child-friendly method, namely the singing method. This method was implemented to create an interactive learning atmosphere and to help students remember and understand tajwid materials more effectively. The purpose of this research is to assist children at the Reading and Language Literacy Corner in understanding tajwid, which is often perceived as difficult, and to facilitate the delivery of learning materials so that they can be well received by the students. The results of the study indicate that the application of the singing method increases students’ learning enthusiasm and reduces boredom in tajwid learning, thereby enabling children to better understand proper and correct Qur’anic recitation.
