Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze Qur'anic verses that can serve as ethical foundations (usūs akhlāqiyyah) for inclusive education. The methodology employed is qualitative literature study (dirāsah maktabiyyah naw'iyyah), analyzing relevant Qur'anic verses, namely Q. Al-Isra: 70, Al-Maidah: 8, and Al-Rum: 22, alongside classical and contemporary exegetical works (kutub al-tafsīr al-qadīmah wa al-mu'āṣirah) such as Tafsīr Al-Marāghī and Al-Misbāh. The research findings reveal three Qur'anic values (qiyam qur'āniyyah) that can serve as ethical foundations for inclusive education: the Value of Human Dignity (qīmat karāmat al-insān) (Q. Al-Isra), the Value of Justice (qīmat al-'adl) (Q. Al-Maidah), and Appreciation for Diversity (taqdir al-tanawwu') (Q. Al-Rum). These values form an ethical foundation (asās akhlāqī) for addressing discrimination and inequality in educational resources. Their integration enriches conventional inclusive models with spiritual perspectives (manāẓir rūḥiyyah) relevant to Muslim communities. This study concludes that Qur'anic values constitute a robust ethical foundation for inclusive education, offering holistic solutions (ḥulūl shāmilah) that combine educational equality with spirituality (rūḥāniyyah).

Abstract

Tolerance among Religious Communities from the Perspective of the Qur’an is one of the fundamental principles of Islam, emphasizing the importance of respecting differences in belief without any form of coercion. This article aims to examine the meaning of tolerance, the concept of tolerance, and the interpretation of key verses such as Surah Al-Baqarah [2:256] and Surah Al-Kafirun [109:6] as theological foundations for fostering harmonious interfaith relations. Using a qualitative method through library research, the discussion focuses on the core principles of tolerance in Islam, including freedom of religion, social justice, and appreciation of pluralism. Moreover, the article analyzes the challenges in implementing the values of tolerance in society, such as fanaticism, radicalism, and narrow, exclusive interpretations of religion. The findings reveal that Islam views tolerance as a form of respect for human dignity and as a foundation for building a peaceful and harmonious society. Therefore, this article provides a comprehensive understanding of the teachings of tolerance in the Qur’an and their relevance in multicultural and pluralistic societies such as Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores the efforts to revive Islamic civilization through the ideas of modern reformist thinkers such as Jamaluddin al-Afghani, Muhammad Abduh, Rasyid Ridha, Fazlur Rahman, Syed Naquib al-Attas, Ismail Raji al-Faruqi, and Nurcholish Madjid. Their thoughts span various domains, including politics, education, and Islamic epistemology. However, the implementation of these theories in the contemporary Muslim world still faces numerous obstacles, including structural challenges, global pressures, and internal issues within the Muslim community. This study employs a qualitative approach using literature review methods to analyze these barriers and offer potential solutions. The findings suggest that the revival of Islamic civilization must begin with educational reform, the strengthening of critical thinking culture, and collaboration among Muslim nations in confronting global challenges collectively.

Abstract

Nowadays, a product's halal status is crucial, particularly for Indonesia, where the majority of people are Muslims. Choosing halal items is becoming more and more important in Muslim society. Muslim customers will learn more about the religion and inform manufacturers about halal certifications so they are aware of the importance of consuming halal products. The public is becoming more interested in halal items. Onething, medicine, is still reasonably priced, though. The actions of the Muslim community are inextricably linked to their degree of knowledge, awareness, and comprehension regarding halal items. Thus, this study aims to provide an overview of the public's knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions of halal health in RT 12 RW 03 Kebun Beler Village, Bengkulu City. This study used a descriptive, observational approach model (rather than an experimental one). The Muslim community in RT 12 RW 03 Kebun Beler Village, Bengkulu City, will be sampled using the purposive sampling technique. when employing a survey to gather data. According to the study's findings, 51% of the population had a moderate level of knowledge, awareness, and attitude toward halal medicines, 53% had a very good level, and 53% had a very high level. We can infer that public understanding is in the intermediate range, despite the fact that attitudes and awareness of halal medications are excellent.

Abstract

Permasalahan akademik yang muncul ada dua yaitu: Bagaimana pemberian penguatan pembelajaran PAI (Pendidikan agama Islam) melalui ekstrakulikuler Rohis (Kerohanian Islam) bagi siswa SMKS 3 Idhata Curup dan Apa faktor pendukung dan menghambat pelaksanaan penguatan pembelajaran PAI (pendidikan agama Islam) bagi siswa SMKS 3 Idhata Curup. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan ekstrakulikuler Rohis (Kerohanian Islam) bagi siswa SMKS 3 Idhata Curup dan untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dan menghambat pelaksanaan penguatan pembelajaran PAI (pendidikan agama Islam) bagi siswa SMKS 3 Idhata Curup. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dkokumentasi. Hasil Penelitian sebagai berikut: Penguatan pembelajaran PAI di SMKS 3 Idhata Curup dilakukan dengan Bimbingan kerohanian Islam yang diberikan berupa melaksanakan tadarus, sholat dhuha dan dzuhur berjama’ah dilanjutkan dengan berdzikir. Bimbingan kerohanian Islam ini bertujuan untuk membangun perubahan bagi para siswa agar mempunyai kesadaran dari dalam dirinya sendiri agar menjadi lebih baik serta tidak mengulangi pelanggaran. Dan dengan adanya Bimbingan Kerohanian Islam di SMKS 3 Idhata Curupsiswa menjadi lebih termotivasi dengan adanya keinginan untuk belajar serta memberikan hasil kedisiplinan yang cukup baik, karena siswa tidak mengulangi kesalahannya lagi. Faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat Rohis pada perannya dalam pelajaran PAI saat ini yakni, dukungan dan dorongan yang besar dari sekolah dan Pembina Rohis terhadap kegiatan yang dilakukan Rohis saat ini berupa materi ataupun tenaga serta dukungan dari beberapa guru dalam memberikan masukkan dan saran terhadap kegiatan-kegiatan Rohis yang berperan pada pelajaran PAI saat ini. Serta hambatan pada peran Rohis terhadap pelajaran PAI saat ini yakni, kurangnya antusiasme siswa untuk bergabung dengan ekstrakurikuler Rohis, serta kurang aktifnya beberapa pengurus Rohis pada saat ini.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the principal's digital leadership and work environment on teacher performance in Public Elementary Schools in Hulu Palik District, North Bengkulu. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a causal associative design through multiple linear regression analysis, with a sample of 106 teachers selected using proportional simple random sampling techniques. The results showed that the principal's digital leadership had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance (β = 0.220; t = 3.720; sig. = 0.000), as well as the work environment which was proven to have a positive and significant effect (β = 0.394; t = 6.715; sig. = 0.000). Simultaneously, both variables had a significant effect with an F value of 76.479 (p = 0.000) and a coefficient of determination of 59.8%, which means that almost 60% of the variation in teacher performance was explained by these two factors. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of the concept of digital leadership with aspects of the work environment in the context of primary education, which have rarely been studied together before. The contribution of this research is to provide an empirical basis for strengthening school managerial strategies to improve teacher performance through strengthening digital leadership and creating a conducive work environment.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the implementation of multicultural education at the Al-Qur'an Harsallakum Islamic Boarding School in Bengkulu City and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. The research informants consisted of Islamic boarding school leaders, tutors, and students who were selected purposively. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of multicultural education in Islamic boarding schools is carried out through heterogeneous dormitory-based care, the use of a unified language in communication, the implementation of a student code of ethics, and collective activities that foster values of tolerance and togetherness. Supporting factors for the implementation of multicultural education include inclusive Islamic boarding school leadership, a tolerant social environment, and the integration of religious and social values in the lives of students. The inhibiting factors are related to the dynamics of adaptation of students who come from diverse cultural backgrounds and the complexity of the 24-hour dormitory life system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of educational leadership and classroom management on the quality of student learning at MTs Mathla’ul Anwar Gunung Baru. The research employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative survey design using multiple linear regression analysis, involving a sample of 212 students selected through proportional random sampling from a population of 372 students. Prior to analysis, the research instruments were tested for validity using Product Moment correlation and for reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha, with all variables meeting the acceptable threshold (α > 0.70). In addition, classical assumption tests, including normality, linearity, and heteroscedasticity, confirmed that the data met the requirements for regression analysis. The results indicate that educational leadership has a positive and significant effect on learning quality (β = 0.271; t = 4.443; sig. = 0.000). Similarly, classroom management also shows a positive and significant effect (β = 0.398; t = 6.862; sig. = 0.000), and is identified as the more dominant variable. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence learning quality, with an F value of 152.6 (p = 0.000) and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.643, indicating that 64.3% of the variance in learning quality is explained by these two variables. The findings also suggest that leadership tends to exert an indirect andstructural influence, while classroom management operates more directly at the instructional level, resulting in stronger observable effects. The novelty of this study lies not merely in combining educational leadershipand classroom management, but in integrating both variables within a single regression model in the specific context of MTs (Islamic junior secondary schools) in Way Kanan, Lampung, which remains underrepresented in prior empirical research. This study provides context-specific empirical evidence that highlights the complementary relationship between leadership as a structural factor and classroom management as a pedagogical factor in determining learning quality. These findings imply that improving learning quality in madrasah settings requires an integrated approach that simultaneously strengthens leadership practices and classroom management competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of aqil baligh in Islam and examine its relevance to Lawrence Kohlberg’s theory of moral development. The study is motivated by the gap between adolescents’ biological maturity and their moral reasoning maturity amidst contemporary moral challenges. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method. Data were obtained from literature on fiqh, Islamic education, and modern moral development theory, and were analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results indicate that aqil baligh in Islam marks the beginning of the taklif phase, encompassing biological, rational, and spiritual dimensions. Meanwhile, Kohlberg’s theory explains that moral development proceeds in stages through a structure of moral reasoning. Both share a common focus on the role of reason but differ in their sources of moral legitimacy. Islam is based on revelation, whereas Kohlberg’s theory is grounded in human rationality and the principle of universal justice. This study concludes that understanding adolescent moral maturity requires an integrative approach that combines biological, cognitive, and spiritual dimensions.

Abstract

Religious tolerance is the attitude of respecting and honoring people who have different religions, cultures, or races. Indonesia has six recognized religions, which means that it is important for Indonesian citizens to encourage and practice a tolerant attitude since an early age. This research aims to evaluate religious tolerance education in developing inclusive attitudes among students at the multi-religious elementary school. The subjects of the research are the Principal, Vise Principal, Class Teachers, Class Students, PAI Teachers, and Buddhist Religion Teachers of state elementary school 04 Uajan Mas. This research is an evaluation study using the Goal Oriented Evaluation model by using a qualitative approach. The research results indicate that there are two school's objectives include general objectives, such as cultivating students’ faithful, pious, and of noble character, and specific objectives such integrating tolerance values. The organization of learning experiences is accomplished through the rule of the school, teachers, and students, using strategies such as learning integration, habituation, religious activities, teacher exemplification, and the cultivation of attitudes and character among students. The results of the learning experiences demonstrate an increase in mutual respect, deliberation skills, self-awareness, and the practice of tolerance, although there is a tendency for a few students to associate with groups of people based on their religion. The implications of this research could function as a framework for schools to design subsequent initiatives to strengthen tolerance education, such as the development of a multicultural-based curriculum, teacher training, and the provision of an inclusive school environment
