Abstract

The development of the 21st century requires students to master several skills, one of which is critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Discovery Learning learning model on students' critical thinking skills at various levels. The research method used is a meta-analysis by reviewing 20 journals. The sample in this study came from educational journal articles that have been published nationally and internationally in the last six years (2015-2021). Data collection is done by searching electronic journals through Google Scholar, Academia and Eric. The results of the study show that the Discovery Learning learning model has an effect size value of 1.812 with a high category. This shows that the Discovery Learning learning model has a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills. Keywords: Discovery learning, critical thinking

Abstract

Meta-analysis Study of the Effect of Creative Problem Solving Models on Students' Problem Solving Ability. This study aims to analyze several other research journals using the meta-analysis method by reviewing or reviewing 10 research journals related to the Effect of Creative Problem Solving Models on Students' Problem Solving Ability. The sample in this study is articles in educational journals that have been published nationally and internationally with certain criteria. The instrument used in this study was a data sheet coding articles or journals. A meta-analysis study was conducted by collecting data by coding 10 journal articles to find the effect size. Based on the article coding data sheet, the overall learning model is able to improve problem solving abilities. This shows that the learning model provides a more effective influence and needs to be applied in learning.

Abstract

The problems that occur today have a great effect on the whole world. All activities that normally can be carried out smoothly have been hampered due to the Covid-19 pandemic, one of which is the education sector, including the impact of this pandemic. The purpose of this study was to analyze the learning strategies used by teachers during covid-19 on student learning outcomes. This research method is a meta-analysis technique that summarizes several research results, analyzes, reviews, data from several previous studies originating from the national journal published (2016-2021), and the type of this research is qualitative research. The purpose of this meta-analysis is to determine the effect of bold learning models on student learning outcomes. From this research, it can be seen that there are differences in the learning strategies carried out by each journal. Therefore, there is a need for a good and directed learning strategy for the learning process during this COVID-19 pandemic. In the results of research on the effect of the learning model when daring on student learning outcomes, the effect size value is 0.614 with a medium category.

Abstract

Milk is a good food for consumption because it contains good and perfect nutrients. Fresh cow's milk is widely consumed by the community, that's why the quality must be maintained during processing so that people can consume it safely. The purpose of this research is to explain how to process pasteurized milk and how to maintain the quality of pasteurized milk. This research was conducted at CV. National Citadel in November. The data collection technique used in this study was carried out by observation, interviews, and FGD methods. The results showed: (1) Pasteurized milk processing in CV. National Cita through several stages, namely mixing, homogenization, pasteurization, filling and packaging; (2) How to maintain the quality of pasteurized milk in CV. National Cita has 7 stages of testing: (a )organoleptic test (b) milk specific gravity test (c) pH and temperature test (d) alcohol test (e) fat content test (f) milk consistency test ( g) tatl solid and non fat solid test (h) MBRT test; (3) raw materials in the form of forage and concentrates

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the jigsaw type cooperative learning example on student learning outcomes in the integrated respiratory system material Al-Qur’an Surah Al-An’am in class VIII MTs.S PPM Babussalam. The population in this study means all students of class VIII, totaling 108 students. The sample used was class, totaling27 students and class VIII-3 being the experimental class, totaling 27 students. Data analysis was performed using t test. What will happen is the analysis of the t-count value of 4.425> the t-table value of 2.006 which gives the effect of student learning outcomes using the jigsaw type cooperative learning example on the learning outcomes of class VIII MTs.S PPM Babussalam student. The post test result of students in the experimental class have a big effect. Holistically, students answers include good criteria.

Abstract

This study examines the knowledge of the people of Manggul-Lahat Village, South Sumatra about the making of bekasam and compares or correlates it with scientific concepts. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method with an etnoscience approach. The steps taken in collecting data are interviews, observation, documentation and literature study. The results of this study indicate that bekasam is a typical food of the people in Indonesia, especially the people of South Sumatera, Kalimantan and Central Java whose management knowledge is passed down from generation to generation. Furthermore, in the manufacturing process there is a scientific study relationship between culture and science. Thus, the process of making bekasam can be used as a natural science learning material. Therefore, the role of the teacher is very important in order to convey the values ​​of local wisdom with science.

Abstract

The Indonesian National Qualifications Framework is a reference for the implementation of lectures at the State Islamic Institute Kerinci. The Indonesian National Qualifications Framework requires students to have good cognitive learning outcomes. One material that is difficult for students to understand is evolution. The cause of the difficulty of evolutionary material is the unavailability of learning resources that provide examples according to students' real lives. The solution to overcome the low cognitive learning outcomes of students on evolutionary material is the development of an evolutionary module based on Problem Based Learning (PBL). This study aims to produce an an evolutionary module based on Problem Based Learning that is valid, practical, effective. This research is a development research using the ADDIE model which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The resulting data are qualitative and quantitative data. Module is very valid, very practical, effective for improving cognitive learning outcomes. The validity value of media experts is 89.8%, material experts are 90.8%, and field practitioners are 91.2%, the practicality value is 91.8%. Evolution module based on PBL is effective for improving cognitive learning outcomes with an F value of 7.489 with p-value = 0.008 < (α = 0.05).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangakan E-modul dengan bantuan Flip PDF Professional pada mata kuliah Biokima pada materi Karbohidrat agar dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam memahami materi Karbohidrat, mengatasi keterbatasan waktu dan sarana prasarana yang masih kurang serta membantu mahasiswa dalam belajar mandiri. Model pengembangan yang dipilih adalah model ADDIE. Subjek uji coba pada penelitian ini yaitu 2 orang ahli untuk menentukan tingkat kevalidan produk yang dikembangkan dan 18 mahasiswa untuk menentukan tingkat kepraktisan produk yang dikembangkan. Data penelitian diperoleh dari lembar validasi dan angket respon mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa E-modul yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid dan praktis, dengan rata-rata tingkat kevalidan dari ahli media dan materi adalah sebesar 82,5% dengan kategori “sangat valid”. Hasil uji kepraktisan berdasarkan penilaian pada angket respon mahasiswa diperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar sebesar 90,1% dengan kriteria kepraktisan “sangat praktis”. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa E-modul Biokimia dengan materi Karbohidrat teruji kevalidan dan kepraktisannya.

Abstract

Indonesia has a variety of cultures and customs that are spread throughout the region so that it has its own local wisdom. Local wisdom is knowledge gained from previous experience based on the surrounding environment that can be used to solve problems and fulfill daily needs. One form of local wisdom in Bukittinggi City is Sanjai Chips with raw material, namely cassava. By utilizing cassava, it can be implemented in biology learning, namely about material on biodiversity. This study aims to analyze the local wisdom of sanjai chips in biology learning. This type of research is descriptive research using the observation method. Based on the results of the study showed that the raw material for sanjai chips used was yam lambao or sweet potato bread, with a harvest age of about 6-7 months. local wisdom Sanjai chips have local wisdom (indigenous science) which contains the concept of Biology so that teachers are expected to be able to use the local cultural context in the Biology learning process.

Abstract

This research maps the thesis profile of students, which consists of research topics, types of research, and methods. The most dominant chosen by students from the mapping results, and an analysis of the suitability between research topics, types of research, and research methods from several studies with similarities is carried out. From 2017 to 2019, two research topics always appeared and were the most dominant in the thesis of Biology Tadris students, namely research topics with the scope of Effect and Application, while the type of research that dominated the undergraduate dissertation of Biology IAIN Kerinci students, namely the qualitative kind of research. and the types of research and research methods most chosen by students are descriptive and experimental research methods
