Abstract

This study aims to analyze marketing management practices, digital and conventional promotion strategies, as well as the challenges faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and promotional document analysis. Data analysis was conducted using grounded theory through processes of reduction, categorization, and triangulation to ensure the validity of the findings. The results indicate that marketing management practices in SMEs remain relatively simple and intuitive, while digital promotion strategies are becoming increasingly dominant in line with technological developments. Nevertheless, conventional promotion is still maintained to preserve close relationships with local consumers. The main obstacles identified include limited digital literacy, financial constraints, and a lack of product differentiation. These findings highlight that the integration of marketing management and promotion strategies is a key factor in increasing sales, strengthening brand image, and creating sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

Nurse performance is a series of activities of nurses in providing an action or nursing care to patients. Good performance is a reflection of the quality of nursing services provided by nurses. Data on the quality of nursing at RSI Malahayati Medan in 2024 is 75.8% of the performance of executive nurses in the good category, 15.9% of the performance of executive nurses in the sufficient category and 8.3% of the performance of executive nurses in the less assessment category including documentation of nursing care. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of the leadership style of the head of the room on the performance of the executive nurse in the implementation of nursing care in the inpatient room of RSI Malahayati Medan. The research design used Analytical Survey method with Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study were all executive nurses who served in the inpatient room as many as 70 people, all of whom were used as research samples with total population techniques. Data analysis used univariate analysis, bivariate with chi-square test and multivariate with logistic regression. The results of logistic regression research indicate that there is a democratic influence p = 0.003, laisses faire (free to act) p = 0.003, participatory p = 0.005 and transpormative p = 0.013. While the dominant factor influencing the performance of executive nurses is democratic p = 0.001 with Exp (B) 85.754, meaning that democracy has 85 times the risk compared to other variables. The conclusion of this study is that there is a democratic, free-action, participatory and transformative influence on the performance of implementing nurses in the implementation of nursing care in the inpatient room of RSI Malahayati Medan and variables that have no effect are authoritarian. It is recommended that the head of the room in carrying out the leadership function should be democratic, namely making decisions based on deliberations with other teams that are adjusted to the situation so that it will produce effective leadership so as to make subordinate performance better and of higher quality.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology on the implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) among high school students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Kota Binjai. Utilizing a quantitative cross-sectional design, data were collected through structured questionnaires from 72 Grade XI students selected via cluster random sampling. The analysis employed univariate, bivariate (Chi-square), and multivariate (logistic regression) techniques to identify the most significant influencing factors. The results show that knowledge, attitude, infrastructure, and teacher support all significantly affect students’ PHBS implementation. Among these, student knowledge emerged as the most dominant factor. Although infrastructure had a significant relationship, its influence was less pronounced compared to human-centered variables such as knowledge and teacher support. These findings suggest that AI integration in health education is most effective when supported by student understanding and active teacher involvement. The study contributes to the growing body of evidence supporting AI-assisted behavioral interventions in schools and highlights the need for a holistic, knowledge-driven approach in implementing digital health programs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic financial literacy on the use of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) among Muslim merchants. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, conducted at Sangkumpal Bonang Market, Padangsidimpuan City. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that Islamic financial literacy plays a central role in enhancing merchants’ acceptance of QRIS. Merchants who understand the basic principles of Islamic financial transactions—such as the prohibition of riba, the obligation of trustworthiness in wealth management, and fairness—are more likely to adopt digital payment innovations. Conversely, low levels of literacy hinder the adoption of cashless payment technologies. From the perspective of the Qur’an, the use of QRIS can be linked to the command of recording transactions (QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 282), the prohibition of usury (QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 275), and the injunction against consuming wealth unjustly (QS. An-Nisa [4]: 29). These principles reinforce the relevance of QRIS to the objectives of Islamic law (maqashid al-shariah), particularly hifz al-mal (protection of wealth), while also supporting security (hifz al-nafs), rational financial management (hifz al-‘aql), and family welfare sustainability (hifz al-nasl). The study concludes that Islamic financial literacy functions not only as a technical skill but also as a spiritual foundation guiding merchants to utilize financial technology in a lawful, safe, and productive manner.

Abstract

Diarrhoea remains a health problem and a leading cause of death among children in developing countries, including Indonesia, especially among children under five years of age. The prevalence of diarrhoea morbidity in Metro City in 2021 and 2022 was the same, reaching 21.84% among children under five years of age, and increased in 2023 to 24.6%. The Yosomulyo Community Health Centre had the highest prevalence of diarrhoea cases among children under five out of 11 community health centres in Metro City. The number reached 402 children under five (43.6%) out of 921 children under five who experienced diarrhoea cases in Metro City. One of the risk factors that can trigger diarrhoea cases is exclusive breastfeeding behaviour. This study aimed to determine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of diarrhoea in children aged 12-24 months, using a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of all children aged 12-24 months in the Yosomulyo Community Health Centre area. The sample was determined based on a proportion estimation formula, resulting in 93 children selected using a simple random technique. Interviews and medical record studies were the techniques used to collect data, utilising interview guides and observation sheets. Univariate and bivariate data analysis used the chi-square test. The results of the study on toddlers aged 12-24 months showed that 19% (19 toddlers) of those who were not exclusively breastfed experienced diarrhoea. The statistical test results showed a p-value of 0.000, indicating a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of diarrhoea in infants aged 12-24 months. Continuous education and counselling are needed from pregnancy to breastfeeding so that all infants receive exclusive breastfeeding and diarrhoea can be prevented.

Abstract

Environmental conservation in Mangga Dua Village, in maintaining ecosystem balance and supporting sustainable livelihoods, is crucial and is progressing well thanks to the active participation of the community, particularly farmer groups, demonstrating the integration of wildlife conservation and ecosystem-based economic development. Forest farmer groups play a role in forestry development through various productive activities, such as nurseries, non-timber forest product cultivation, and utilization of environmental services. This research seeks to identify, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of the mentoring program implemented for Forest Farmer Groups to support environmental preservation and to sustain forest ecosystems and biodiversity. The mentorship process and environmental conservation within Forest Farmer Groups (KTH) are examined in this study using a case study methodology and a qualitative approach. Mangga Dua Village, Kendari District, Kendari Regency, the intended location for the environmental conservation mentorship program, served as the study's site. The findings show an enhancement in the knowledge and abilities of KTH members, suggesting that the mentoring program has effectively boosted the knowledge and skills of KTH members prior to mentoring, as most KTH members possess only a fundamental grasp of forest management. Following mentorship, they can: 1) Recognize economically valuable local and non-timber plant species, 2) Implement suitable nursery and planting methods for reforestation, 3) Grasp the significance of forests' ecological roles, including the regulation of water systems and habitats for wildlife. Therefore, it can be determined that the empowerment and capacity building of this program has succeeded in changing KTH from mere objects to the main subjects in conservation efforts, economic and ecological integration, the success of mentoring is greatly influenced by its ability to integrate environmental conservation with improving economic welfare, social and institutional strengthening, mentoring has succeeded in building strong social capital among members of KTH. This shows that forest conservation can be achieved through a bottom-up approach that empowers local communities, making them the vanguard in maintaining environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the psychological dimensions of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) as an effort to build students’ mental and spiritual balance. The research employed a qualitative approach through library research, analyzing primary and secondary sources such as Qur’anic exegesis, Hadith, and relevant scholarly works. The findings reveal that IRE plays a strategic role in fostering mental health through habitual worship, the internalization of moral values. Furthermore, spirituality serves as the foundation of psychological well-being, safeguarding the purity of the heart and strengthening personality, as reflected in the Prophet’s Hadith on the centrality of the heart in determining human goodness. The study also highlights that IRE significantly contributes to building students’ resilience by reinforcing faith, instilling reliance on God (tawakkul), and drawing lessons from prophetic narratives. These aspects are crucial in helping young generations cope with identity crises, academic pressure, and the challenges of globalization. The integration of psychological and spiritual aspects within IRE learning processes is proven to produce students who are not only intellectually competent but also emotionally stable and spiritually strong.

Abstract

Smash is the main attack technique in volleyball which requires physical strength, precision and good coordination. This study aims to analyze the influence of explosive leg power and eye-hand coordination on smash skills in volleyball games among student volleyball athletes. The research uses quantitative methods with a correlational approach. The research sample consisted of a number of volleyball athletes who were selected purposively. Data collection instruments include a vertical jump test to measure explosive leg power, a tennis ball throw-catch test to measure hand-eye coordination, and a smash skill test in volleyball. The results of the analysis show that leg explosive power has a significant effect on smash skills. Apart from that, eye-hand coordination also makes a significant contribution. Simultaneously, these two variables are proven to have a strong influence on smash skills in volleyball. These findings emphasize that the development of physical condition and coordinative skills needs to be integrated in training programs. Thus, coaches are advised to design volleyball training that integrates increasing leg explosive power with hand-eye coordination training to optimize athletes' smash skills. Based on the results of the research and discussion that has been carried out, it can be concluded that both leg explosive power and eye-hand coordination have a significant influence on volleyball smash skills in student athletes.
