Abstract

The quality of learning in elementary schools depends heavily on four core teacher competencies: pedagogical, professional, social, and personality. This study aims to identify the specific role of each of these competencies in improving the quality of elementary education. It aims to analyze the role of teacher competencies—pedagogical, professional, social, and personality—in improving the quality of the learning process in elementary schools. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies in several public elementary schools. It was found that pedagogical competency enables teachers to design learning that is engaging, innovative, and relevant to student characteristics. Professional competency is reflected in mastery of material and the ability to select effective strategies and media. Meanwhile, social and personality competencies play a crucial role in creating harmonious interactions, building emotional closeness, and fostering a positive and conducive learning environment. The overall quality of learning has been shown to be significantly influenced by the integrated application of these four competencies. The quality of learning in elementary schools is significantly influenced by the full integration of teachers' pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies. Therefore, improving teacher professionalism through training, mentoring, and continuous evaluation is an essential step to advance the quality of elementary education.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in science learning, specifically on the topic of changes in the states of matter in elementary schools. PBL is a student centered learning model that presents learners with real-world problems to be analyzed and solved through discussion, investigation, and the presentation of results. The topic of changes in the states of matter is highly relevant to be taught using PBL because it can be easily observed in daily life, such as melting, freezing, evaporating, condensing, and sublimating. The implementation of PBL has been proven to enhance students' activeness, conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, and collaborative abilities. This article describes the concept of PBL, steps for its implementation, examples of learning activities, and the benefits and challenges of applying it in science instruction.

Abstract

Unemployment remains a major issue in national development, primarily due to the skills gap between job seekers and industry needs. To address this issue, the government has launched the Pre-Employment Card Program, which aims to improve work and entrepreneurship competencies through digital-based training. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Pre-Employment Card Program using a public policy evaluation approach, including indicators of effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and accuracy. The method used is a literature study by reviewing various sources related to program implementation. The research findings indicate that the Pre-Employment Card Program has achieved positive results, particularly in terms of effectiveness and efficiency through expanding access to training and using digital systems. However, this program still faces challenges such as a mismatch between training skills and industry needs, unequal access due to differences in digital literacy and internet access, and uneven training quality. From an evaluative perspective, this program is considered quite helpful in improving participant competency, but it has not been able to fully address structural unemployment in Indonesia. Therefore, improving the quality of the training curriculum, equitable digital access, and increasing the relevance of training to job market needs are crucial steps to maximize the benefits of the Pre-Employment Card Program in the future.

Abstract

Science learning is one of the subjects that provides various knowledge about the surrounding nature and its contents, including all objects in nature, events and phenomena that appear there. The use of project-based learning methods in research environments helps students develop their critical thinking skills. This approach involves students in student education by allowing them to investigate problems and find their own answers. This study examines the effect of project-based learning (PBL) on students' capacity for critical thinking using Nonequivalent Control Group Design and using non-probability sampling collection with the Quasi-Experimental Design method. Project-based learning (PBL) encourages students to think critically about their environment by placing them in situations where they must analyze, synthesize, and evaluate data. The PBL model is effective in improving students' academic knowledge and skills such as teamwork and problem-solving. Based on the results of this study, project-based learning is an influential method in improving critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study examines the spiral of silence phenomenon experienced by doxxing victims on Indonesian social media. Doxxing, as a form of cyberbullying involving unauthorized disclosure of personal information, has generated significant psychological and social consequences for victims. Evidence indicates that 21.05% of fact-checkers have encountered intimidation and doxxing on digital platforms, while reports from AJI (Alliance of Independent Journalists) Indonesia document numerous content creators experiencing fear of expression following such digital attacks. The research employs a qualitative approach through case study methodology, incorporating in-depth interviews with four informants who experienced doxxing within the past two years. Findings reveal that victims endure emotional trauma manifested through fear, anxiety, and withdrawal from both online and offline social interactions. The fear of social isolation compels victims toward self-censorship by locking accounts, removing content, and restricting online activities. The internalization of fear occurs through perceptions that attacking groups possess superior strength, rendering silence a chosen defense mechanism. Victims' motivation to return to social media stems from social support provided by family, friends, and communities, alongside functional necessities in daily life. Adaptations implemented include communication self-regulation, modification of online identity through pseudonyms or anonymous accounts, and pursuit of emotional support from fellow victim communities. These findings confirm that doxxing not only violates individual privacy but also generates a broader spiral of silence effect, transforming digital communication dynamics from open dialogue arenas into repressive and surveillance environments.

Abstract

Indonesia, with the world's largest Muslim population and highly diverse society, faces significant challenges in implementing religious moderation amid rapid digital transformation. With internet penetration reaching 78.19% in 2023, social media has become a battleground for religious narratives, amplifying both moderate and extreme ideologies. This study aims to comprehensively identify the problems and formulate strategic solutions for implementing religious moderation in the social media era. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical methods, this research employs library research strengthened by content analysis of religious narratives on social media platforms during 2020-2025. The study reveals five fundamental problems: algorithmic architecture that promotes polarizing content, disparity in virality between moderate and extreme content, acceleration of hoax and hate speech dissemination, low digital literacy, and fragmentation of religious authority. The findings indicate that effective solutions must integrate five strategic pillars: optimization of engaging yet substantive content strategies, community-based digital literacy strengthening, multi-stakeholder collaboration, contextual pedagogical innovation, and development of sustainable moderate content ecosystems. This research confirms that religious moderation in the digital era requires reinterpretation of classical wasathiyyah principles into digital communication strategies aligned with attention economic logic and algorithmic amplification. The study offers a measurable implementation roadmap with specific targets, key stakeholders, success indicators, and realistic timeframes, considering that success depends on government political will, commitment of religious institutions, willingness of technology platforms to collaborate, and active civil society participation.

Abstract

This study examines the application of Microsoft Access as a recording system in Soeka Dimsum MSMEs which previously still used the manual method. The purpose of the study is to show how the design of an Entity Relationship Chart-based database can improve efficiency in managing financial data, stock of goods, and revenue according to the required period. The research method used was qualitative descriptive through direct data collection at MSME locations, observation of the recording process, and interviews with business owners. The results of the study show that manual recording makes it difficult for owners to obtain data in real-time and in a structured manner. The implementation of Microsoft Access has proven to be able to simplify the recording flow so that it is more accessible and ultimately increases the efficiency of the data collection process in Soeka Dimsum MSMEs. This practical database solution enables MSME owners to make faster, data-driven business decisions while significantly reducing time spent on administrative tasks, thereby allowing more focus on core business operations and growth strategies.
