Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and work environment on improving the performance of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) employees, with work motivation as an intervening variable in the Regional Secretariat of Tebing Tinggi City. The study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach, distributing questionnaires to ASN employees. Data analysis was performed using path analysis to determine both direct and indirect effects between variables. The results show that competence and work environment have a positive and significant effect on work motivation and performance improvement. Competence (X1) positively influences work motivation (Z) with a path coefficient of 0.502 and performance improvement (Y) with a path coefficient of 0.444. Work environment (X2) positively influences work motivation (Z) with a path coefficient of 0.369, and performance improvement (Y) with a path coefficient of 0.404. Work motivation (Z) positively affects performance improvement (Y) with a path coefficient of 1.017. Performance improvement (Y) significantly mediates the relationship between competencies (X1) and work motivation, as well as between the work environment (X2) and work motivation. These findings confirm that optimizing ASN performance can be achieved by enhancing competencies, fostering a supportive work environment, and increasing work motivation.

Abstract

In today's digital era, developments in information and communication technology have opened up new opportunities for the broader and more interactive dissemination of religious values. This study aims to examine the role of digital media as a means of moderate da'wah, highlighting the transformation of da'wah methods from traditional to online platforms, the opportunities for two-way interaction, and the challenges of negative content such as misinformation and radicalism. The method used is qualitative research with a library research approach, where data was obtained from scientific journals, books, online articles, and recent research reports. Content analysis was conducted to examine theories, concepts, and previous studies related to moderate digital da'wah. The results show that social media, such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and Telegram, are effective vehicles for spreading Islamic teachings ?, as long as the content is packaged creatively and responsibly. The concept of religious moderation plays a crucial role in maintaining message balance, preventing polarization, and maintaining harmony in the digital space. Furthermore, the active participation of the younger generation through short video content, Islamic podcasts, and educational threads strengthens the narrative of moderate da'wah. This study recommends improving religious digital literacy and collaboration between religious scholars, IT practitioners, and youth communities to optimize inclusive da'wah in the digital era.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Internal Control System, Accounting Information System, and Human Resources on Financial Statements and examine the role of Organizational Commitment as a moderation variable in the Asyratun Cooperative of SMK Muhammadiyah 10 Kisaran. The background of this research is the lack of optimal internal control, inaccuracy of transaction recording, and low competence of the management in preparing financial statements. The study used a quantitative method with a saturated sampling technique involving all 50 cooperative members as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using validity, reliability, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that the Internal Control System, Accounting Information System, and Human Resources have a positive and significant effect on the Financial Statements, both partially and simultaneously. In addition, the Organizational Commitment has been proven to moderate the influence of independent variables on the Financial Statements by strengthening the relationship. These findings confirm that the quality of cooperative financial statements is highly determined by the effectiveness of internal controls, the reliability of accounting information systems, the competence of human resources, and the organization's commitment to supporting financial operations and accountability.

Abstract

Landslides are a significant threat in Indonesia, with major impacts on social, economic, and infrastructure aspects. One important mitigation measure is the development of landslide hazard index maps. However, conventional methods using proprietary software such as ArcGIS or manual processing in QGIS are time-consuming and prone to technical errors. This study analyzes the performance of a QGIS plugin developed to accelerate and simplify the process of generating landslide hazard indices. The plugin was built using the Python programming language, GDAL and Rasterio spatial libraries, and an interface designed with QtDesigner through a Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach. Performance analysis was conducted by comparing processing duration and output consistency between the conventional method and the plugin. The test data included a Digital Elevation Model (DEM), Landslide Susceptibility Map (ZKGT), and administrative boundaries of Sanggau Regency. The results showed that the plugin reduced processing time from 410 seconds to 280 seconds while producing hazard index maps consistent with the manual method. In addition, the plugin reduced the risk of user errors in repetitive stages, such as reclassification and raster calculations. In conclusion, the developed QGIS plugin improves efficiency and reliability in landslide hazard index mapping. This performance analysis confirms that the plugin can serve as an effective open-source solution for disaster mitigation and reduce dependence on commercial software.

Abstract

Narcotics crimes are extraordinary crimes that have a wide impact on society. The handling of this case involves various parties, including judges who have an important role in making fair decisions. However, in practice, there is often a disparity in judges' decisions, especially in the application of Article 112 and Article 127 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. Article 112 tends to be applied to perpetrators who are actually only abusers, thus causing injustice because the threat of punishment is much heavier than Article 127 which provides space for rehabilitation. This study examines the criminal disparity in the case of a.n Musa Siagian which shows significant differences between first-instance decisions, appeals, and cassation, including changes in the legal basis from Article 112 to Article 127 at the cassation level. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with an analysis of court decisions and relevant legal norms. The results of the study show that there are two tendencies in the judge's mindset: positivistic and non-positivistic. The judge of first instance and the appeal was considered not to consider the humanitarian aspect and the penal guidelines in SEMA Number 3 of 2015 Jo. SEMA Number 4 of 2010. On the contrary, the Supreme Court in its cassation decision emphasized more sociolegal approaches and substantive justice. This disparity is an important concern in the reform of the narcotics criminal justice system in Indonesia so that law enforcement is more proportionate and humane, especially for narcotics abusers.
