Abstract

Abstract. One technology that is widely used today is ChatGPT, a chatbot that utilizes AI in its operation. One of the impacts that needs to be considered is the decline in student interest in reading. Students reading interest may decrease due to the convenience offered by ChatGPT through services that use natural human language. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the effect of using ChatGPT on students' reading interest as well as identify other factors that may affect reading interest. This study investigates the effect of using AI ChatGPT on reading interest by involving respondents through filling out a Google Form questionnaire, that is Information Systems students at ITS. The results showed that there was no significant effect of using ChatGPT on the reading interest of ITS Information Systems students. The proposed recommendations include increasing student awareness of the importance of reading accredited literature, books, and scientific articles in the era of digital development. In conclusion, this study provides an in-depth insight into the influence of AI Chat GPT respondents regarding the reading interest of ITS Information Systems students. Keywords: Artificial Intelligences (AI), Chat GPT, Reading Interest. Abstrak. Salah satu teknologi yang marak digunakan saat ini adalah ChatGPT, sebuah chatbot yang memanfaatkan AI dalam operasinya. Salah satu dampak yang perlu diperhatikan adalah penurunan minat baca mahasiswa. Minat baca mahasiswa dapat menurun karena kemudahan yang ditawarkan oleh ChatGPT melalui servis yang menggunakan bahasa alami manusia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan ChatGPT terhadap minat baca mahasiswa serta mengidentifikasi faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi minat baca. Studi ini menyelidiki pengaruh penggunaan AI ChatGPT terhadap minat baca dengan melibatkan responden melalui pengisian kuesioner Google Form yaitu mahasiswa Sistem Informasi di ITS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan ChatGPT terhadap minat baca mahasiswa Sistem Informasi ITS. Rekomendasi yang diajukan mencakup peningkatan kesadaran mahasiswa akan pentingnya membaca literatur terakreditasi, buku, serta artikel ilmiah di era perkembangan digital. Kesimpulannya, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mendalam mengenai pengaruh AI Chat GPT responden terkait minat baca mahasiswa Sistem Informasi ITS. Abstract

The spread of hoaxes on social media has become a serious problem in society. This research aims to analyze the factors that cause the spread of hoaxes, the characteristics of hoax content, a well as their impact on society. The research method used is the study of literature and content analysis from various online news sources. The results showed that the main factors of the spread of hoaxes were lack of digital literacy., economic motivation, and political polarization. Hoax content generally spreads quickly, has sensational titles, and contains inaccurate information. The impact of hoaxes on society includes confusion, social conflict, and a decline in public trust. This research concludes that comprehensive efforts from the government, media, and the public are needed to overcome the hoax problem. This research aims to analyze the causes, patterns of spread, and the impact of hoaxes on social media on the community. The research methods used are literature studies and content analysis from various trusted sources. Patterns of spreading hoaxes generally utilize sicial media algorithms to achieve a wide reach quickly. The negative impact of hoaxes on society is very diverse, ranging from triggering social confilcts, affecting public opinion, to threatening political stability and national security. This shows the urgency of handing hoaxes comprehensively, involving the role of government, social media platforms, and the public.

Abstract

Currently, Indonesia is facing a widespread crisis of national character and morals. This character crisis is very much dominated by the younger generation at school age. The role of Pancasila and citizenship lessons in schools is very important to shape the character and morals of students as the nation's successors so that they have quality and superior character in the future. The aim of this research is to find out the importance of Pancasila and citizenship lessons in shaping the character and morals of students at school. The method used in this article is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, namely selecting each journal or previous research, then obtaining the results in the form of ideas that will be developed later. Pancasila and citizenship lessons (PKN) are one of the subjects in school where one of the aims is to shape the character of the nation's successors. It is hoped that character formation through the application of Pancasila values can lead students to grow and develop into citizens with character, morals, responsibility and remember their rights and responsibilities as Indonesian citizens. This research shows that Pancasila and citizenship lessons are very important and useful for students. Bad character and morals are certainly worrying for the development of student behavior, and vice versa, good character will give birth to the next generation with good character and morals.

Abstract

This research is based on the problem of students' disciplinary character which is influenced by school culture at SMP 1 Negeri Ngunut Tulungagung. The emergence of problems with undisciplined behavior include coming to school not on time, skipping school, submitting assignments not on time, etc. The occurrence of undisciplined behavior at school shows that there has been a problem in terms of disciplinary character education. One way to improve school culture is by evaluating the school culture that has been implemented, so that the school knows where the school culture is lacking. Knowing the influence of school culture on the disciplinary character of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Ngunut Tulungagung. This research uses quantitative research with a correlational type of research. The population of this research is 393 class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Ngunut. This research took samples using probability sampling techniques. In this study, researchers took a sample of 162 students based on criteria. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire instrument. The data analysis technique uses requirements testing and hypothesis testing. The research results show that the results of the hypothesis test show that the results obtained are sig. amounting to 0.000 (0.000 < 0.05) so it is said that there is a positive and significant influence between the influence of school culture on the disciplinary character of students. The correlation coefficient test result (R) is 0.469, indicating that the two variables have a moderate relationship. Meanwhile, the coefficient of determination (R Square) value was obtained at 22%, while 78% was influenced by other factors not studied.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of YouTube audio-visual media in improving the ability to write news for Indonesian language learning. Factor This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using YouTube audio-visual media in improving students' ability to write news and find out the challenges and obstacles in using YouTube audio-visual media. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach to collect data and information through the library study method. The results of this study show that the use of YouTube audio-visual media in learning Indonesian has great potential to improve students' news writing skills. The effectiveness of using YouTube as a learning tool can be seen from various aspects, including student involvement, increased understanding of concepts, and practical skills in writing news.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the speech patterns of children who have hyperactivity disorders in the classroom context. The observational approach is used in this study to learn how the children respond to the instructions given. Children with adhd tend to have difficulty understanding complex instructions, so researchers need to highlight appropriate communication patterns and avoid giving them overly complex instructions. Interactions start with conversations between language researchers and communicative behaviors, so that children with adhd can more readily understand the content of a conversation and respond favorably. The study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data-gathering technique used was the triangulation or fusion of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show difficulties in maintaining attention, as well as difficulties in understanding and following instructions given in conversation in children with ADHD. These observation activities provide new insights into the children's behavior and characteristics with adhd, as well as proper treatment measures to meet their needs in social interaction.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the full day school system on learning motivation and character formation of students at SD Nasima Semarang. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with data collection through questionnaires given to students and teachers. The research results show that the implementation of the full day school system has a positive impact on student learning motivation, which is characterized by increased interest and participation in learning activities. Apart from that, this system also plays a significant role in forming student character, such as discipline, responsibility and cooperation. However, there are several challenges that need to be considered, such as student fatigue and the need for varied teaching methods. In conclusion, the full day school system at SD Nasima Semarang generally has a positive influence on students' learning motivation and character formation, although improvements and adjustments are still needed to optimize the results achieved.

Abstract

The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. In this research, descriptive qualitative research was used to determine the interest of class XI students in participating in extracurricular sports activities at SMA Negeri 22 Palembang. The population in this study was 30 class XI students at SMA Negeri 22 Palembang. The data collection technique uses total sampling. The sample used in this research was 30 respondents with a total of 30 statement items. The data collection procedure uses a questionnaire using Google Forms and data analysis techniques for this research use simple descriptive statistics in analyzing student interest. The research results show that class XI students' interest in participating in extracurricular sports activities received a response with a percentage of 83% in the good category. Seeing the response results which reached more than 50%, it means that class XI students prefer to take part in extracurricular sports activities.

Abstract

This research uses a training model given by the trainer in an effort to improve the ability to hit the front blow. This study aims to determine the effect of push up and resistance band training on the front punch ability of PSHT Maskarebet District pencak silat athletes aged 15-17 years. The method in this research is an experiment with a pretest posttest design group design. The population in this study were 20 Rayon Psht Maskarebet Rayon Pencak Silat athletes aged 15-17 years, while the sample was taken equal to the population using a purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained using the front blow test technique. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing using the paired sample t-test.The research results obtained that the pretest was the highest score of 39 with an average of 33.00, and the posttest was the highest score of 52 with an average of 47.55. Meanwhile, hypothesis testing used a paired sample T test and based on the calculation results in the table that t count was -26.006 > t table 2.086 and a significant value of 0.000≤0.05, then Ho is rejected. Ha accepted can be concluded based on the results, there is a comparison of the average changes in pretest and posttest from the data that has been obtained, the results of the pretest are an average of 33.00 and the results of the posttest are an average of 47.55, so the difference in the increase in pretest and posttest training is 14.55, that there is a significant influence of push up and bicep resistance band training on the front punch ability of pencak silat athletes from Rayon PSHT Maskarebet, Alang-alanglebar Subdistrict.

Abstract

Beginning writing skills are an important component in children’s language development at the elementary school level. In this article, literature research was carried out with the aim of studying various strategies to improve elementary school students’ initial writing abilities. This article identifies effective methods to be implemented in basic education by analyzing previous studies. These findings will contribute to the development of more efficient writing learning strategies.
