Abstract

This study compares the impact of outsourced and in-house Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) on productivity and stock accuracy in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. Data was collected from a logistics services company in Palembang using quantitative methods, including measurements of productivity per person per hour and stock accuracy per SKU. Productivity was assessed based on items processed per unit time, while stock accuracy compared physical stock with system records. Additional data was gathered through a Google Form survey targeting operational staff and warehouse managers to understand the implementation of both WMS models. The survey covered critical processes such as putaway, picking, and inventory, providing insights into operational efficiency and challenges associated with each model. Dummy variable multiple regression was applied to evaluate the performance impact of each WMS model, supplemented by qualitative insights from structured interviews. Findings reveal that WMS in-house is better than outsourcing WMS. While 12.5% of respondents rated the outsourced WMS as inefficient, none reported inefficiencies in the in-house system. Additionally, 62.5% of respondents found the in-house WMS highly effective, citing smoother implementation and higher reliability. The in-house WMS also demonstrated superior operational efficiency, storage accuracy, and responsiveness. It provided better storage location guidance (33.3%) and faster, more accurate operator navigation (26.5%) compared to the outsourced system. Moreover, only 33.3% of respondents noted delays in resolving technical issues with the in-house system, versus 68.8% for the outsourced system. Statistical analysis further supported these findings, showing significant advantages for the in-house WMS in productivity (p=0.068) and stock accuracy (p=0.000). These results highlight the strategic advantages of adopting an in-house WMS, underscoring its role in enhancing operational efficiency and maintaining competitiveness in the dynamic FMCG market.

Abstract

The growing digital era has forced the world to keep up with it. Various aspects of people's lives are now connected to digitalization. In recent years, Indonesia has begun to implement e-government development. This period of political reform, which began in 1997, began to break down the arrogance of the bureaucracy and gave rise to an independent society. People began to demand improvements in bureaucratic performance towards the public in various countries, including Indonesia, which is required to provide e-government services that are considered more effective and efficient for the community. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature study method. The results obtained are that in implementing e-government in Indonesia there are several things that need to be considered such as government interaction with the community, the level of effectiveness and efficiency. In Indonesia itself, the application of e-government to support good governance, one of which is e-procurement, which is a process of procuring goods and services that are presented on the website so that it is more transparent.

Abstract

Abstract

Social and legal complexities that arise due to religious differences in the family, where the issue of inheritance rights often causes conflict and injustice. This study aims to analyse the comparison of the inheritance rights of children of different religions from their heirs according to Islamic Law and Civil Law in Indonesia. The research method used in this study is a comparative method with a qualitative approach. Data was obtained through literature review, including analysis of legal texts and related literature. The results show that in Islamic Law, religious differences are an obstacle for children to receive inheritance rights, thus requiring alternative solutions such as grants and mandatory wills. In contrast, Civil Law provides a more flexible approach, where all heirs, regardless of religion, have equal rights to inheritance. Through this analysis, this research reveals the importance of understanding and an inclusive approach in the regulation of inheritance rights, and emphasizes the need for mediation and dialogue to reach a fair agreement in families that have members with different religious beliefs. The findings are expected to contribute to the understanding of inheritance law in Indonesia and support harmonization efforts in family relationships.

Abstract

The provisions of Law No.11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation stipulate the use of the Risk-Based Business Licensing Service System (OSS RBA), which regulates licensing based on the level of business risk. However, its implementation in the Investment Management Unit and One-Stop Integrated Services of the South Jakarta Administrative City is still experiencing obstacles so that the goal of improving service quality has not been achieved. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of electronic-based licensing service implementation factors on the quality of public services at UP PMPTSP South Jakarta Administrative City. This study uses an explanatory method with a quantitative approach to analyze the relationship between the implementation of risk-based electronic licensing services (RBA OSS) and public service quality at UP PMPTSP South Jakarta Administrative City. Using purposive sampling, 100 respondents who utilized the RBA OSS system in 2023 were selected. Data collection involved a 5-point Likert scale-based questionnaire, observations, and interviews, with validity and reliability confirmed through factor loading, AVE, Cronbach's Alpha, and Composite Reliability. SEM-PLS analysis revealed that communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure significantly enhance service quality, while the community role, though positive, was not significant. The study concludes that communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure significantly improve the quality of licensing services at UP PMPTSP South Jakarta Administrative City, with a collective influence of 91.3%. However, the public's role, while positive, does not significantly affect service quality. Future research should explore ways to increase community engagement and examine the long-term effects of these reforms on public satisfaction and business growth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of investment decisions and stock prices on the company value in the infrastructure sector, moderated by profitability. The study uses multiple linear regression to examine the relationships between variables, with secondary data obtained from the financial statements of infrastructure companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period of 2018-2021. The independent variables used in this study are investment decisions, measured by the Price Earnings Ratio (PER), stock price, measured by closing share price, and profitability, measured by Return on Equity (ROE). The dependent variable is company value, measured by Price to Book Value (PBV). The results of the study show that investment decisions and stock prices have a positive and significant effect on company value. However, profitability does not moderate the relationship between investment decisions and stock prices on company value. The implications of this study’s findings suggest that infrastructure companies should pay attention to investment decisions and strategies that can influence stock prices, as both have a significant impact on increasing company value. Additionally, although profitability does not moderate the relationship, companies should still maintain profitable performance to ensure the sustainability of healthy operations.

Abstract

Expected return is an important factor for investors in determining their portfolio strategy. Islamic bonds (sukuk) and inflation are often used as indicators in determining the expected rate of return. However, there is a challenge in determining which instrument is more accurate in describing the expected return. This study aims to test the Carhart Four Factor model with Islamic bonds and inflation as a substitute for Rf. This study uses a quantitative research method using MAD and determines the effect of each research variable using linear regression. The quantitative method was chosen in this study because it is appropriate for measuring and analyzing the relationship between numerical variables objectively and systematically. The results show that sukuk is superior to inflation in terms of expected return accuracy. Although inflation provides accurate results in some portfolios, especially in 2018 and 2021, sukuk consistently shows better accuracy in other years. These findings have significant implications for Islamic finance theory, indicating that sukuk can be a more reliable investment instrument in return planning.
