Abstract

Functional food refers to a food product that includes nutritional elements, supplements, or bioactive compounds designed to enhance health, boost the immune system, and aid in disease prevention. Functional food enriched with bioactive compounds, minerals, vitamins, fatty acids, dietary fiber, or probiotics. One form of functional food is healthy instant porridge. This study explores the nutritional composition of instant porridge fortified with fermented lebui beans. Lebui bean is the local name for black bean originated from West Nusa. The research used quantitative method analysis such us ANOVA with a factorial randomized block design with temperature (50oC and 60oC) and drying time (5, 6, 7, and 8 hours) as factors. The results showed that instant porridge containing fermented lebui bean with the best nutritional quality was obtained by drying at 60oC for 6 hours. The instant porridge had 19.49% protein, 1.58% lipid, 3.16% moisture, 2.44% ash, 3.29% fiber, 70.05% carbohydrate, 27.62 mgGAE/g phenolics, 98.21 mgQE/g flavonoids, and 85.23 ppm anthocyanin. This result provides insights into the potential of lebui beans as a functional food ingredient in the development of nutritious, ready-to-eat products.

Abstract

Chinese culture plays an important role in shaping the dynamics of family businesses in Indonesia, especially in the context of increasingly intense business competition. This study aims to address gaps in understanding the influence of Chinese culture, including guanxi culture, Confucian inheritance, and the succession process, as well as strategic orientation, namely entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation, on firm performance, with competitive advantage as a mediating variable. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with a data analysis approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Data were collected through surveys distributed to 232 Chinese family businesses in Bekasi and DKI Jakarta. The sample was selected using a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling approach, where companies were chosen based on certain criteria, such as family structure, years of operation, and family member involvement in management. The data collection instrument consisted of structured questionnaires containing questions about corporate culture, strategic orientation, competitive advantage, and firm performance. The results of the study show that competitive advantage significantly mediates the influence of the succession process, entrepreneurial orientation, and market orientation on firm performance. However, guanxi culture and Confucian inheritance do not show a significant influence on firm performance, either directly or through competitive advantage. These findings contribute theoretically with five novel models related to the relationship between Chinese culture, strategic orientation, and firm performance in Indonesia. The implications of this study suggest that Chinese family businesses need to focus more on innovation, market adaptability, and succession management to maintain competitiveness and enhance business performance, while traditional values such as guanxi and Confucianism may require further adaptation to remain relevant in the modern business context.

Abstract

Despite the advancement in digital payment systems and banking in Indonesia, the adoption of this technology among service users is far from guaranteed. Recent data infers that the usage of digital payment systems and digital banking technology in Indonesia is still developing. A mere 55.80% of users have embraced electronic money for less than a year. This indicates ample room for growth and improvement in the country's digital finance industry. This study aims to explore and understand the factors that predict the adoption and behavioural intention of e-wallets in Indonesia. By utilizing hedonic motivation, habit, self-efficacy, and trust as critical predictors, the research model sheds light on the drivers of customer adoption of e-wallets. Data from a survey of 217 Indonesian customers were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Square to examine the structural model. The research findings suggest that trust and habit greatly influence the intention to use e-wallets. However, an interesting discovery is that while previous literature indicated that behavioural intention was a key driver of technology usage, habit plays a more crucial role in adopting digital payment technology in this research.

Abstract

Indonesia's fuel consumption level is experiencing fluctuating changes following the dynamics of world crude oil supply and demand conditions and geopolitics. This research aims to analyze and discover the direct and indirect influence of risk management, direct investment, and taxation on company value and economic growth as a useful research contribution for those interested. A complete sampling of 251 companies in South Sulawesi was determined using data pooling techniques between cross-sections and time series. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model using the AMOS program. The research results found that risk management and investment have a direct positive and significant effect on company value, which means that risk management and company investment determine the achievement of company value. Taxation has an insignificant positive influence on company value, which means that implementing the tax system determines the achievement of company value. Risk management, investment, and taxation directly have a positive and significant influence on economic growth, meaning that risk management, investment, and taxation will support increased economic growth. Company value has a significant favorable influence on economic growth, which shows that the better the company value, the more influence it has on increasing economic growth.

Abstract

Accountability in village fund management remains a critical challenge in Indonesia, where issues such as mismanagement and lack of transparency persist. This study aims to explore the impact of competence, community participation, and the use of information technology on the accountability of village fund management, particularly examining whether information technology moderates these relationships. The research population includes village officials, the village consultative committee, and district apparatus in Karangawen District, Demak Regency. Using purposive sampling, 108 respondents were selected to provide primary data, which were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The results show that competence and community participation significantly influence the accountability of village fund management. Competence improves decision-making and administrative transparency, while participation plays the most significant role by fostering accountability through inclusive planning and evaluation processes. Although the use of information technology positively affects accountability by enhancing transparency and accuracy in reporting, it does not act as a moderating variable in the relationship between competence or participation and accountability. This finding highlights the need for improved infrastructure, training, and tailored technological solutions for rural settings. The practical implications of this study include the importance of enhancing training programs to improve the competence of village officials, encouraging community participation through effective socialization, and optimizing the use of information technology. By addressing these factors, this research contributes to strengthening village fund governance and preventing irregularities in fund management in Indonesia.
