Abstract

Chemistry is one of the study materials in Natural Sciences (IPA) subjects which aims to provide knowledge to students in understanding chemistry learning concepts. One of them is the material on reaction rates, which is one of the studies in chemistry that really demands macroscopic, microscopic and symbolic aspects. This research is a type of analysis and development research which was carried out from April 24 to April 27 2019. The population involved in this research were all Tadris Science class B students with a total of 31 respondents. Reaction rate material in junior high school is still taught through the lecture method and by memorizing concepts without involving the microscopic aspects which will cause difficulties in understanding the concept of reaction rate meaningfully. Therefore, this research aims to utilize learning media which is closely related to improving the quality of learning which is expected to create a more meaningful learning experience, facilitate the process of interaction between students and teachers and students who are relevant anywhere, and enrich the students' learning experience. The results of this research are all questions for each validity have valid status, because the value of Rcount > Rtable is 0.355 and the result of the reliability coefficient of the content instrument is Ralpha = 0.621, the construct instrument is Ralpha = 0.675, the prediction instrument is Ralpha = 0.676, the concurrent instrument is Ralpha = 0.707, and the efficiency instrument is Ralpha = 0.610, apparently it has a "Cronbach's Alpha" value greater than 0.600, which means that the five instruments are declared reliable or meet the requirements. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that simple science learning media in the form of "Reaction Rate Tools" is effectively used for students' understanding of reaction rate material in junior high school

Namely by collecting data specifically through gathering information from books, trusted written sources related to the topic being researched, journals, and scientific publications. The data source used was obtained indirectly. One example of innovation that can help Indonesian education is using simple learning media based on Snakes and Ladders. The Snakes and Ladders learning media is a learning media that is neatly arranged and in its use it uses the Snakes and Ladders game pattern in general, making it easy for students to adapt to this learning media. Making Snakes and Ladders learning media can be an alternative in the learning process so that it can create a teaching and learning atmosphere that is more varied, more enthusiastic, and more active. Therefore, teachers prepare themselves through learning that provides a safe and comfortable environment for students, especially students according to their growth and development. Learning that can increase student comfort is fun learning with a learning process using games or game media. Through a safe and comfortable learning process combined with games, students can gain optimal knowledge in both cognitive aspects such as reading, writing, and communicating

Abstract

This research explores the effectiveness of the Merdeka Belajar policy in improving the quality of primary and secondary education in Indonesia as well as the challenges and opportunities faced in its implementation. Through a qualitative approach using the case study method, data was collected from in-depth interviews with teachers, school principals, and Education Service officials in several regions, as well as through analysis of policy documents and related literature. The research results show that this policy provides opportunities to improve the quality of education, especially in developing 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. However, there are significant obstacles in its implementation, especially related to the infrastructure gap between schools in urban and rural areas and the readiness of teachers to adopt innovative learning methods. The digital divide and limited access to training are the main obstacles that have the potential to weaken educational inequality in Indonesia. Therefore, government support in the form of funding, equitable infrastructure development, and ongoing training is very necessary to ensure that the Merdeka Belajar policy can be implemented effectively and evenly. Thus, this policy has the potential to create a more inclusive and relevant education system if these challenges can be overcome
