Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Green Human Resource Leadership (GHRL) in driving organizational culture change towards environmental awareness and sustainability goals. Employing a qualitative methodology through a systematic literature review (SLR), this research analyzes and synthesizes existing studies on GHRL, organizational culture, and sustainability. The data were collected from peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and conference papers, focusing on literature published in the last decade. The findings reveal that GHRL significantly influences organizational culture by embedding sustainability practices in recruitment, training, and performance management systems. Leaders who prioritize sustainability can create a culture of environmental responsibility, fostering employee engagement in green initiatives. However, the study also identifies challenges such as resistance to change and a lack of prioritization by top management, which hinder the full integration of GHRL practices. Additionally, the alignment of organizational culture with sustainability goals is essential for achieving long-term environmental performance and organizational success. The study concludes that GHRL plays a crucial role in driving cultural shifts toward sustainability, but overcoming barriers requires strong leadership commitment and clear communication. Further research is recommended to explore the specific mechanisms through which GHRL impacts sustainability outcomes and to investigate its influence across various industries and organizational contexts.

Abstract

The use of herbal preparations as antihypertensive therapy continues to expand alongside advances in drug delivery technologies, particularly through nanotechnology-based approaches. This article discusses the impact of nanotechnology-based herbal formulations on enhancing the efficacy and safety of hypertension therapy, based on findings from recent studies. Nanoformulations of natural compounds such as curcumin, black garlic, red ginger, garlic, Phaleria macrocarpa, and Rauvolfia serpentina have been shown to improve bioavailability, stability, and antihypertensive activity compared to conventional extracts. Their main mechanisms include inhibition of the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), increased nitric oxide (NO) production, and improvement of antioxidant status, which collectively contribute to the protection of hypertension target organs. Nano-delivery systems also offer better safety profiles with minimal toxicity. These findings indicate that nanoherbal preparations hold promise as more effective and safer complementary therapies for hypertension management. However, most studies remain limited to in vitro and preclinical in vivo experiments, highlighting the need for further investigations, including pharmacokinetic and clinical trials, to confirm their long-term benefits and safety.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the startup sector has generated significant opportunities for millennials, who now dominate the global workforce. However, high turnover rates remain a pressing challenge, especially in startups where resources are limited and work pressure is high. Millennials place greater value on non-financial aspects of employment, including work–life balance, career development, meaningful work, and organizational culture. This study aims to explore effective retention strategies tailored to millennials in the startup sector. Employing a qualitative literature review method, the research systematically examined academic journals, conference proceedings, and industry reports published within the last five years. Thematic analysis identified recurring factors influencing retention, including non-financial incentives, flexible work arrangements, career development programs, mentoring, and employee well-being initiatives. The findings indicate that startups that provide clear career pathways, continuous learning opportunities, and hybrid work models experience higher levels of employee satisfaction and reduced turnover. Moreover, strong organizational culture, transparent recognition systems, and mental health support significantly enhance employee engagement and long-term retention. Practical examples from Indonesian unicorns such as Gojek highlight that mission-driven narratives combined with mentoring and skill development programs help compensate for limited financial rewards while strengthening employee commitment. This research contributes to the understanding of millennial workforce management and offers practical guidance for startups to improve retention strategies, ensuring both organizational sustainability and competitiveness in the digital economy.

Abstract

Pulopanjang Village in Puloampel District, Serang, Banten, possesses abundant maritime resources but continues to face economic challenges due to limited financial literacy. This study explores the revitalization of maritime local wisdom as a culturally grounded approach to enhance financial literacy among fishing households and small-scale maritime business actors. The objective is to develop a model of community empowerment that harmonizes traditional values with modern financial practices. The research employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach combined with community-based education, including workshops, counseling, and simulations. Quantitative data were collected through pre-test and post-test surveys to measure knowledge improvement, while qualitative insights were obtained via focus group discussions, interviews, and participatory observation. Results indicated significant improvement in participants’ budgeting, saving, and record-keeping practices. The integration of local wisdom—such as gotong royong (mutual cooperation), cooperative savings, and musyawarah kampung (village deliberation)—provided culturally resonant methods that increased comprehension and acceptance of financial literacy concepts. Additionally, adapting these practices for elementary school education through storytelling and role-playing activities proved effective in instilling early financial awareness among children. The findings confirm that revitalizing maritime local wisdom not only strengthens household economic resilience but also ensures intergenerational transfer of financial knowledge. This culturally embedded approach highlights the potential of integrating tradition into financial education programs for sustainable community empowerment in coastal areas.

Abstract

The increasing demands for transparency and social accountability in the digital era have encouraged public companies to utilize Management Information Systems (MIS) in managing their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. This study aims to explore how MIS is used not only as an operational tool but also as a strategic means to build digital legitimacy in the eyes of stakeholders. This study uses a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review to analyze (1) the legitimacy narrative built by management through MIS, (2) the challenges of CSR data integration, and (3) the changing dynamics of communication between companies and stakeholders. The data used are sourced from content analysis of public secondary data from two public companies in the mining sector, PT. Tambang Emas Nusantara and banking, PT. Bank Mandiri. The findings of this study indicate that the companies build narratives of "Technocratic Accuracy" and "Total Transparency" through the use of online sustainability dashboards and reports. However, the main challenge faced is the standardization of qualitative data in CSR reports. In addition, the use of MIS has also transformed corporate communication into a more dialogic one, especially through social media, although this creates an expectation of instant responses from the company. The conclusion of this study indicates that digital legitimacy is formed through transparency narratives curated and disseminated by information systems. This research highlights the importance of a more organic integration between CSR strategies, communications, and information technology to build authentic and credible legitimacy in the eyes of stakeholders.
