Abstract

AbstrakPerkembangan teknologi yang semakin maju membuat banyaknya orang yang memanfaatkan perkembangan ini, salah satunya musisi. Musisi yang memanfaatkan teknologi digital saat ini salah satunya adalah Salma Salsabil. Salma Salsabil merupakan pemenang ajang menyanyi Indonesian Idol XII dan mahasiswi Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta Fakultas Seni Pertunjukan Prodi Penyajian. TikTok menjadi salah satu platform digital yang digunakan untuk mempromosikan karyanya dan mendongkrak popularitasnya dalam industri musik. Salah satu lagu yang Salma rilis berjudul "Bunga Hati". Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana analisis refrain dalam lagu "Bunga Hati" dan bagaimana fenomena viralitas refrain lagu "Bunga Hati" sehingga sering digunakan oleh konten kreator dalam platform TikTok. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode netnografi dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah aspek musik sedatif dan musik yang catchy sangan berperan penting dalam mendongkrak lagu Bunga Hati menjadi viral.Kata kunci: Viralitas, Refrain, TikTok, Lagu Bunga HatiAbstractThe rapid growth of technology has led people to increased utilization of digital platform by musicians, one of them is Salma Salsabil. She is the winner of Indonesian Idol XII and a student at Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta's Faculty of Performing Arts, exemplifies this trend. She uses TikTok to promote her work and boost her music industry presence. Her song "Bunga Hati" has gained significant traction on TikTok, particularly its refrain. This study investigates the viral phenomenon of the song's refrain among content creators.  The virality of a song can be seen on how many times the song used by content creators on TikTok. The purpose of this study is to find the phenomena behind the virality refrain of Bunga Hati so it is often used as contents on TikTok platform. This study is using netnography method with qualitative approach. Abstract

Teknik tremolo merupakan salah satu teknik lanjutan dalam permainan gitar klasik yang melibatkan pola pengulangan nada secara cepat dan berkesinambungan menggunakan kombinasi jari p (ibu jari), a (jari manis), m (jari tengah), dan i (jari telunjuk). Teknik ini tidak hanya menuntut kecepatan dan koordinasi jari, tetapi juga ketelitian dalam menjaga konsistensi ritme, kestabilan dinamika, serta kualitas warna suara yang merata dan musikal. Bagi mahasiswa tingkat lanjut di perguruan tinggi seni, teknik tremolo sering kali menjadi tantangan tersendiri dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi berbagai hambatan yang dihadapi mahasiswa dalam menguasai teknik tremolo, serta mengeksplorasi solusi dan pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mengatasinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang dilakukan melalui observasi langsung dan wawancara mendalam terhadap partisipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beberapa strategi efektif yang diterapkan oleh mahasiswa meliputi latihan secara perlahan dan bertahap, penggunaan metronom untuk menjaga tempo yang stabil, serta latihan penguatan otot jari untuk meningkatkan kontrol dan ketahanan.Kata kunci: Tremolo, Gitar Klasik, Tantangan, Solusi.AbstractTremolo technique is an advanced method in classical guitar performance that involves the rapid and continuous repetition of notes using a combination of the thumb (p), ring finger (a), middle finger (m), and index finger (i). This technique not only demands speed and finger coordination but also precision in maintaining rhythmic consistency, dynamic stability, and a balanced and musical tone quality. For advanced-level university students in arts programs, mastering the tremolo technique often presents a unique challenge in the learning process. This study aims to identify the various obstacles faced by students in mastering tremolo technique and to explore the solutions and approaches used to overcome them. A qualitative case study method was employed through direct observation and in-depth interviews with participants. The results show that effective strategies implemented by students include practicing slowly and gradually, using a metronome to maintain a steady tempo, and engaging in finger muscle strengthening exercises to enhance control and endurance.Keywords: Tremolo, Classical Guitar, Challenges, Solutions.

Abstract

 ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil penerapan gaya improvisasi musik blues dalam konteks musik jazz fusion, dengan fokus pada penggunaan teknik Albert King’s Bend pada gitar elektrik. Teknik ini dikenal luas dalam permainan blues karena kemampuannya menghasilkan karakter bunyi yang khas, dan biasanya digunakan untuk memperkuat identitas frasa musik. Lagu “King Twang” karya grup band Vital Tech Tones dipilih sebagai objek studi karena menyajikan struktur komposisi jazz fusion yang kompleks, namun tetap terbuka terhadap pendekatan improvisasi dari genre lain. Metode penelitian yang digunakan bersifat kualitatif, melalui observasi, transkripsi improvisasi gitar, dan wawancara dengan beberapa gitaris berpengalaman. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa teknik Albert King’s Bend dapat diterapkan secara efektif dalam jazz fusion tanpa mengganggu struktur musikal dari komposisi. Penerapan teknik ini terbukti mampu memperkaya struktur frasa improvisasi, memberikan karakter kontras antar bagian, serta mencerminkan pemahaman pemain terhadap fleksibilitas gaya dalam musik lintas genre. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan pendekatan improvisasi gitar modern, serta membuka peluang untuk eksplorasi lebih lanjut dalam penyatuan teknik tradisional dengan konteks musikal yang lebih kompleks.                                                                          Kata kunci: improvisasi gitar, blues, jazz fusion, Albert King’s Bend.             ABSTRACTThis study aims to examine the application of blues improvisational style within the context of jazz fusion music, with a particular focus on the use of the Albert King’s Bend technique on electric guitar. Widely recognized in blues performance, this technique creates a distinctive tone by emphasizing string bending, typically used to enhance the identity of musical phrases. The song “King Twang” by the band group Vital Tech Tones was chosen as the case study due to its complex jazz fusion composition, which still allows room for improvisational approaches from other genres. A qualitative research method was employed through observation, transcription of guitar improvisation, and interviews with experienced guitarists. The analysis reveals that Albert King’s Bend can be effectively applied in jazz fusion without disrupting the musical structure of the composition. The technique proves to enrich the structure of improvisational phrases, introduce contrast between sections, and reflect the player’s understanding of stylistic flexibility in cross-genre music. This research contributes to the development of modern guitar improvisation approaches and offers further opportunities for exploration in blending traditional techniques within more complex musical contexts.Keywords: guitar improvisation, blues, jazz fusion, Albert King’s Bend.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi integrasi teknik permainan drum set dan section battery dalam sebuah pertunjukan musik yang utuh, dengan menggunakan karya “My Favorite Things” versi MonoNeon, DOMi, dan JD Beck sebagai objek interpretasi utama. Fokus penelitian ini adalah bagaimana teknik rudiment dari section battery yang berasal dari tradisi marching band diadaptasi dan diintegrasikan ke dalam permainan drum set melalui pendekatan intertekstualitas. Permainan drum set tersebut berkembang dalam format combo yang berakar pada tradisi musik jazz. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini juga mengkaji bagaimana interaksi teknik antara dua tradisi yang berbeda tersebut membentuk suatu interpretasi musikal yang baru. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada teori intertekstualitas dan teori improvisasi, yang digunakan untuk memahami bagaimana dialog musikal antara dua pendekatan perkusi dapat menciptakan struktur ritmik yang inovatif dan ekspresif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi audio-visual, dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik rudiment seperti single stroke, double stroke roll, 5-stroke roll, dan paradiddle-diddle dapat diadaptasi dalam permainan drum set melalui pendekatan improvisatif yang fleksibel. Proses kolaborasi dengan section battery menghasilkan bentuk permainan kolektif seperti call and response, split rudiment, serta unison ritmik, yang menciptakan lapisan musikal baru. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknik dari dua tradisi yang berbeda ini tidak hanya menghasilkan kompleksitas ritmik, tetapi juga memperkuat daya visual dalam pertunjukan, khususnya pada resital tugas akhir yang menempatkan section battery secara aktif di pertengahan karya.Kata kunci: intertekstualitas, drum set, section battery, improvisas, jazz fusionThis study aims to explore the integration of drum set and section battery techniques within a cohesive musical performance, using the rendition of “My Favorite Things” by MonoNeon, DOMi, and JD Beck as the main object of interpretation. The focus of this research is on how rudimental techniques from the section battery, rooted in the marching band tradition, are adapted and integrated into drum set performance through an intertextual approach. The drum set performance develops within the combo format, which is grounded in the tradition of jazz music. Therefore, this study also examines how the technical interaction between these two musical traditions creates a new form of musical interpretation. The research is grounded in the theories of intertextuality and improvisation, and it employs a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, audio-visual documentation, and literature review. The findings show that rudimental techniques such as single stroke, double stroke roll, 5-stroke roll, and paradiddle-diddle can be adapted into drum set performance through a flexible improvisational approach. The collaborative process with the section battery resulted in collective playing forms such as call and response, split rudiment, and rhythmic unison, which created new musical layers. This study demonstrates that integrating techniques from twodifferent traditions not only results in rhythmic complexity but also enhances the visual and expressive dimensions of contemporary musical performance.Keywords: intertextuality, drum set, section battery improvisatation, jazz fusion

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul Reinterpretasi Teknik Slide Derek Trucks dalam Lagu “ Sahib Teri Bandi” Menggunakan Tools Aluminium Slide melalui Gitar Resonator. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi karakteristik teknik slide dengan menggunakan tools aluminium slide melalui gitar resonator sebagai bentuk reinterpretasi artistik terhadap permainan Derek Trucks dalam lagu “Sahib Teri Bandi”. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain Practice as Research (PaR), di mana praktik musikal, refleksi diri, dokumentasi, refleksi pengalaman resital, dan analisis sonic menjadi bagian integral dari proses penelitian. Proses reinterpretasi dilakukan melalui eksperimen penggunaan berbagai jenis tools slide (glass, brass, aluminium), serta perbandingan karakteristik spektrum frekuensi antara permainan Derek Trucks dan hasil eksplorasi penulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tools aluminium slide melalui gitar resonator menghasilkan karakter sonic yang lebih terang (bright), kasar (harsh), dan dinamis, berbeda dengan tone hangat (warm) yang dihasilkan glass slide pada gitar elektrik. Pemilihan gitar resonator tri-cone yang dimodifikasi dengan pickup humbucker juga membuka kemungkinan ekspresi baru, baik dalam hal sustain, artikulasi, maupun resonansi. Selain itu, idiom musik Bali seperti pelog dan slendro turut diintegrasikan dalam improvisasi sebagai bentuk penegasan identitas musikal penulis. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa reinterpretasi bukan hanya persoalan teknis, melainkan juga refleksi estetis dan kultural. Melalui pendekatan Practice as Research, praktik musikal menjadi sarana penciptaan pengetahuan baru yang kontekstual, personal, dan ekspresif.Kata kunci: Reinterprestasi, Teknik Slide, Derek Trucks, Gitar Resonator, Akuminium Slide, Practice as ResearchABSTRACT This research is titled Reinterpretation of Derek Trucks’ Slide Technique in the Song “ Sahib Teri Bandi” Using an Aluminum Slide Tool through a Resonator Guitar. The aim of this study is to explore the characteristics of the slide technique using an aluminum slide tool through a resonator guitar as an artistic reinterpretation of Derek Trucks' performance in the song “Sahib Teri Bandi”. The research applies a qualitative approach using the Practice as Research(PaR) framework, where musical practice, self-reflection, documentation, recital experience reflection, and sonic analysis serve as integral components of the research process. The reinterpretation process was carried out through experiments involving various types of slide tools (glass, brass, aluminum), as well as frequency spectrum comparisons between Derek Trucks’ performance and the author's own explorations. The results show that using an aluminum slide tool through a resonator guitar produces a sonic character that is brighter, harsher, and more dynamic—distinct from the warm tone produced by a glass slide on an electric guitar. The use of a tri-cone resonator guitar modified with a humbucker pickup also opens new expressive possibilities in terms of sustain, articulation, and resonance. Additionally, Balinese musical idioms such as pelog and slendro are integrated into the improvisation as a means of affirming the author's musical identity. This research concludes that reinterpretation is not merely a technical matter, but also an aesthetic and cultural reflection. Through the Practice as Research approach, musical practice becomes a means of generating new knowledge that is contextual, personal, andexpressive.Keywords: Reinterpretation, slide technique, Derek Trucks, resonator guitar, aluminum slide, Practice as Research.

Abstract

Studi penciptaan karya ini berangkat dari pengalaman empiris penulis mengenai pergulatan batin neneknya setelah kehilangan suami, yang terkait dengan fenomena late-life crisis dan grief dream. Penciptaan skenario film menggunakan pendekatan empiris (observasi dan wawancara) yang diolah dengan struktur naratif miniplot Robert McKee. Teori eksistensialisme Sartre (konsep l'autre) dan pendekatan estetika realisme magis diintegrasikan untuk membangun konflik dan kedalaman karakter. Hasil penelitian penciptaan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengalaman empiris lansia yang berduka dapat diolah dengan apik menjadi narasi sinematik yang kaya makna, merepresentasikan kompleksitas emosi, pencarian makna, dan proses penyembuhan psikologis lansia. Skenario Kar tidak hanya menjadi refleksi personal, tetapi juga menawarkan perspektif baru mengenai pentingnya dukungan sosial dan pemaknaan ulang identitas bagi lansia pasca kehilangan pasangan. The Inner Conflict of the Elderly in the Aftermath of Spousal Death: A Creative Foundation for the Screenplay KarThis creation study originates from the author's empirical experience of witnessing his grandmother's inner turmoil following the sudden loss of her husband, which is related to the phenomena of late-life crisis and grief dream. The film scenario was developed using an empirical approach (through observation and interviews), which was then processed using Robert McKee's miniplot narrative structure. Sartre's existentialist theory (the concept of the Other) and the aesthetic approach of magical realism are integrated to build character conflict and depth. The results of this creative research demonstrate that the empirical experiences of grieving elderly individuals can be effectively crafted into a meaningful cinematic narrative, representing emotional complexity, the search for meaning, and the process of psychological healing in the elderly. The screenplay Kar not only serves as a personal reflection but also offers a new perspective on the importance of social support and the redefinition of self-identity for the elderly after the loss of a life partner.
