Abstract

Increasing students' interest in learning social studies in early elementary school through interactive learning methods can be done in several steps. Interactive learning method is an approach that uses interacting activities between teachers and students, as well as between students themselves. The use of interactive learning media such as videos, power points, and others can help increase students' interest in learning. This media can illustrate material with graphics, animation and various forms that can make learning more interesting and easy to understand. An interactive approach to social studies learning can help students achieve optimal learning outcomes. In the learning process, students can work together to complete tasks and show progress in interacting activities with their friends. Teachers also have wider opportunities to provide assistance. The blended learning method can improve the quality of student learning. In this learning process, students use digital and offline media simultaneously, which can make learning more effective and interesting.

Abstract

The importance of Social Studies (IPS) in elementary schools has been widely recognized, especially in facing the era of society 5.0. However, there are still challenges in students' understanding of IPS material. In this era, educators need to facilitate students to think critically, creatively, discuss, and work together in the context of social problems. IPS learning in elementary schools must adopt a constructivist approach and utilize methods such as design-based learning, project-based learning, cooperative-based learning, problem-based learning, and inquiry-based learning. This article outlines the importance of a new approach to IPS learning in elementary schools and evaluates five methods through a literature review. Building on previous research, this article presents a new perspective on the IPS approach that can improve student understanding and engagement in early grades.

Abstract

Social and economic inequality is a significant global challenge, including in Indonesia, encompassing the economy, education, health, and employment opportunities. The dominant capitalist economic system often exacerbates inequality, benefiting the already prosperous and harming the less fortunate. The policy of eradicating socio-economic inequality through education includes individual freedom to develop their abilities, equal access to education and protection for women in rural areas, and active participation of local governments in social equality. Sharia-based economic education is a concrete solution that teaches the principles of a just and sustainable economy, and instills important moral values. With the right collaboration between education and policy, it is hoped that social and economic inequality can be significantly reduced, creating a more just and prosperous society.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explain the important role of population and sample in educational research. This research uses conceptual methods with descriptive analysis to examine the important role of population and samples in educational research. The correct selection of population and samples greatly influences the quality and validity of research results. This research identifies common phenomena, such as errors in selecting unrepresentative samples, which result in research results that are inaccurate and difficult to generalize. In addition, limited resources and knowledge of modern sampling methods are challenges for researchers. Through a descriptive approach, this research discusses various types of populations and samples, as well as sampling techniques that can be applied in educational contexts. It is hoped that a deeper understanding of these aspects will make a significant contribution to the validity and accuracy of the research results.
