Abstract

Reskilling and upskilling for employees is an important key in increasing competitiveness and global economic growth. This research explores the relationship between reskilling/upskilling initiatives and labor market needs through case studies in several countries. Findings from the case study highlight the importance of balancing training programs with evolving skills needs, facilitating early job placement and career advancement. However, the limitations of this study underscore the need for broader research, including organizational and peer impact, cost-time effectiveness, and the efficacy of reskilling/upskilling methodologies, especially in older employees. Additionally, future studies should explore the interaction between job crafting and reskilling/upskilling to identify effective learning strategies and overcome the challenges faced.

Abstract

The effectiveness of Leadership Development Programs (LDP) in a variety of organizational contexts, including industry, organizational size, and organizational culture, has been the focus of significant research. This research aims to explore variations in the effectiveness of LDP in these various contexts. Findings indicate that LDP effectiveness varies significantly between industries, depending on the unique leadership needs in each sector. Additionally, organizational size also influences the effectiveness of LDP, with small organizations tending to benefit from a more direct and responsive LDP process, while large organizations require a more structured program to address the complexity of their structure. Organizational culture is also an important factor influencing LDP effectiveness, with underlying values, norms, and assumptions influencing the design and implementation of the program. The implication of these findings is the importance of a flexible and tailored approach to different organizational contexts in designing and implementing LDPs. However, this study has certain limitations, such as limited data and focus on a specific context, that need to be taken into account in the interpretation of the findings. Future studies are recommended to further explore the influence of different leadership needs across industries, sizes, and organizational cultures on LDP effectiveness, as well as explore more innovative and inclusive leadership development strategies to meet the demands of increasingly complex and diverse work environments.

Abstract

This research explores the important role of ethical leadership in the context of human resource management (HRM) and its impact on organizational and employee behavior. Through a systematic analysis of the literature, we found that ethical leadership has a positive correlation with various leadership dimensions, such as transformational and transactional, and has a positive impact on job satisfaction and pro-environmental behavior. In addition, ethical leadership practices also influence organizational culture by promoting ethical norms and behavior that is consistent with ethical values. However, this research also identified that unethical organizational practices, particularly unethical organizational behavior (UPB), can have a significant negative impact on employees and the organization as a whole. We highlight the importance of leadership responsibility, organizational identification, and perceptions of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in influencing employee ethical behavior and its impact on the organization. Through this research, we propose strategies to mitigate the negative impact of unethical organizational practices through the implementation of ethical leadership in HRM.

Abstract

The implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) in supply chains has become an increasingly important research subject in facing the dynamics of the digital era. In this research, researchers conducted a systematic literature review to investigate the impact, supporting factors, challenges, and implications of implementing IoT to increase supply chain resilience in the digital era. Researchers analyzed various relevant literature studies from international databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and IEEE Xplore using the Systematic Literature Review method. The research results show that IoT integration at various stages of the supply chain can significantly improve resilience, through increased visibility, operational efficiency, and responsiveness to change. Factors such as senior management commitment, adequate infrastructure and technology, human resource expertise, an organizational culture open to change, and collaboration between departments and business partners have been proven to support IoT implementation. However, challenges such as high implementation costs, data security issues, integration with existing systems, resistance to change, and regulatory uncertainty also need to be overcome. The implications of this research provide practical guidance for businesses and practitioners in implementing IoT to improve supply chain resilience, while highlighting the need to invest in training, collaboration with business partners, and attention to regulatory compliance.
