Abstract

Interprofessional Education (IPE) is a pedagogical approach to prepare clinical students to provide health services to patients in a collaborative and integrated manner in order to improve the quality of health services through the implementation of Interprofessional Collaboration (IPC). The purpose of this study was to describe the perceptions of medical students of FK UNAND towards IPE. This research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. Cross sectional design is used for the research. This study used the Interdisciplinary Education Perception Scale (IEPS) questionnaire which was distributed via Google form with a total sample of 258 medical students in the period October 2022 – January 2023. The research sample was determined using a proportionate stratified random sampling technique. A total of 231 students (89,5%%) had a good perception of IPE with the component of perceived need for cooperation having the highest percentage (95,7%) and component of understanding others’ value having the lowest percentage (62,4%%). Clinical students of 2020 have the highest perception percentage of all the other years (90,6%), followed by the clinical students of 2021 (89,1%), and lastly the clinical students of 2022 with the lowest percentage of perception (88,8%). The perception of medical students of FK UNAND towards IPE is mostly in the good category, however, component of understanding others’ value is still lacking and therefore needs to be improved. The abstract is presented in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Abstract

Indicators of children's nutritional status are very important for monitoring the crucial phases of optimal growth and development. Bogor Regency is one of the regencies in West Java that still faces undernutrition issues. In 2023, there were 434 toddlers who experienced cases of undernutrition. Specifically for the working area of the Cirimekar Health Center in Bogor Regency, 6 cases of undernutrition and malnutrition among toddlers were found.  One of the direct factors that can affect the nutritional status of toddlers is the intake of nutrients. Some macronutrients such as carbohydrates, fats, and proteins can increase the nutritional intake of toddlers. One of the strategies in addressing nutritional issues is the provision of supplementary nutrition. recovery program, which is one of the government's intervention programs for cases of malnutrition.  This program is specifically aimed at food-insecure groups. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between macro-nutrient intake and supplementary feeding on the nutritional status of toddlers aged 6-23 months.  This study uses a cross-sectional quantitative data collection method by applying simple random sampling techniques and involves 54 toddlers aged 6-23 months with inclusion criteria toddlers registered to receive recovery provision of supplementary nutrition, have a KIA book, and the respondent's mother is willing to participate in the study by filling out the informed consent.  Meanwhile, the exclusion criteria are toddlers suffering from physical disabilities, severe diseases (heart disease, kidney cancer, TB as medically diagnosed). Data collection was conducted through questionnaire interviews and a 2x24-hour food recall form, as well as measurements of weight and height.  The results of this study using the chi-square statistical test indicate that no significant relationship was found between the bivariate results of energy intake with a p-value of (0.936), protein intake with a p-value of (0.596), fat intake with a p-value of (0.353), carbohydrate intake with a p-value of (0.983), and supplementary feeding with a p-value of (0.643) on the nutritional status of toddlers. The conclusion of this study is that the intake of macronutrients and the provision of supplementary food are not related to the nutritional status of toddlers

Abstract

Water covers more than two-thirds of the earth's surface, but most of it is salty and undrinkable. Available fresh water sources are only 2.7% of the available water on earth but only 1% of fresh water is available (in lakes, rivers and groundwater) and is accessible. Most of the available freshwater resources are inaccessible because they are located in hidden hydrological parts of the cycle (deep aquifers) and in glaciers (frozen in polar ice), which means it is safe to drink water on earth has a very small proportion (~3% ) in freshwater resources. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence of contamination and the presence of bacteria in refilled drinking water at a restaurant in Jati Sub-district, Padang City, Indonesia. This research is descriptive in nature which provides an overview of the identification of bacteria in refilled drinking water at a restaurant in Jati Village, Padang City, Indonesia. Samples were taken as many as 25 samples. Sampling was carried out directly with sterile bottles from plastic wrap, while data were analyzed using MPN 5-1-1 tables and continued with the presence of colonies of E.coli bacteria from drinking water samples. The results of this study obtained 7 samples (28%) did not contain Coliforms bacteria, 6 samples (24%) with poor water quality with MPN index (1- 50/100ml), 1 sample (4%) with water quality poor drinking water with MPN index (51-100/100ml), and 11 samples (44%) with very poor water quality with MPN index (≥100/100ml). Of the 18 samples, only 2 samples were found to have E.coli bacteria. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that 18 of the 25 samples studied contained Coliforms bacteria and did not meet the microbiological requirements of drinking water. Of the 18 samples containing Coliforms bacteria, only 2 of 18 samples contained Escherichia coli bacteria

Abstract

Technological disruption has brought fundamental changes to various aspects of life, including Indonesia's legal system. Existing regulations are often reactive and unable to accommodate the rapid development of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and fintech. This study aims to analyze the challenges and adaptation strategies of the legal system in facing digital transformation. The research employs a normative juridical approach by analyzing legal regulations, academic literature, and case studies from various countries. The findings indicate that Indonesia's legal system still faces several challenges in implementing digital regulations, including limited institutional capacity, low public digital literacy, and regulatory overlaps among government agencies. Therefore, regulatory reforms must adopt a more flexible, principle-based approach and ensure harmonization among related institutions. In conclusion, Indonesia's legal system needs to adapt progressively to provide effective legal protection in the digital era without hindering technological innovation
