Abstract

This research is driven by the increasing phenomenon of bullying behavior among adolescents and the importance of fathers' roles in building children's behavior. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between fathers' roles and the tendency to engage in bullying behavior among adolescents in Sungailiat. The research method employed was quantitative with a descriptive correlational design. The number of respondents was 69 adolescents selected through purposive sampling using the Lemeshow formula. The research instrument was a questionnaire distributed online using Google Forms. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and bivariate analysis. The results show that the higher the father's role, the lower the tendency to engage in bullying behavior among adolescents. There was a strong and significant positive relationship between fathers' role and control over bullying behavior (r = 0.638; p < 0.05). All respondents had a very positive perception of their fathers' role and high levels of control over bullying behavior. Therefore, it can be concluded that an optimal father's role is closely related to a child's low tendency to engage in bullying

Abstract

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) in the elderly is a chronic systemic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation of connective tissue, primarily in the joints. Common complaints among patients include lower back pain and mobility disorders. William's flexion exercise is a stretching technique targeting body muscles to promote relaxation, increase range of motion, provide comfort, and help prevent injuries. This study aims to describe the implementation of William's flexion exercise for reducing lower back pain in elderly patients with RA. The research method used is descriptive, presented in the form of a scientific paper with a nursing care approach, starting from assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The nursing care plan instrument was based on the Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standards (SIKI, 2018). This study involved two elderly RApatients who experienced mild to severe lower back pain. William's flexion exercise was implemented for 30 minutes over six days. The results showed a reduction in lower back pain, from moderate to mild pain levels. In conclusion, the implementation of William's flexion therapy demonstrated a decrease in the painscale among elderly patients with RA. It is recommended that this intervention be developed into a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for managing lower back pain in elderly RA patients in geriatric care units.

Abstract

Joint pain caused by osteoarthritis (OA) is a common health condition among the elderly, often resulting in decreased mobility and reduced quality of life. This condition leads to limitations in daily activities and increases the risk of complications due to prolonged immobility. One of the non-pharmacological interventions that can be applied is Elderly Fitness Exercise, which aims to improve physical fitness, reduce pain, and maintain joint flexibility. This study aims to describe the implementation of Elderly Fitness Exercise in elderly individuals with osteoarthritic joint pain. The research employed a case study design using the nursing care process approach, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects were two elderly individuals with knee osteoarthritis experiencing moderate pain. Data were collected through interviews, observation, physical examination, as well as documentation using pain assessment scales and fitness evaluation sheets. The intervention was conducted over six consecutive days in February 2025. The findings indicate a reduction in pain levels, improvement in mobility, and increased joint flexibility following the consistent implementation of the exercise. This study concludes that Elderly Fitness Exercise is an easily applicable intervention to relieve joint pain and help improve physical fitness in elderly individuals with OA

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the problemsolving abilities of eighth grade science students at St.Yoseph-Naikoten Catholic Junior High School through the application of the Problem Based Learning model. This study is a Classrom Action Research involving two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subject were 28 students of class VIII D. The data collection instruments used were teacher activity observation sheets, student activity sheets, essay questions. Data analysis employed quantitative descriptive methods. The results of this study indicate that the teacher activity observation data analysis in cycle I yielded a percentage of 71,42% increasing to 91,07% in cycle II. The student activity data analysis in cycle I yielded a percentage of 67,85% increasing to 89,28 in cycle II. Meanwhile the problem solving ability test results in cycle I reached 39,64% and in cycle II reached 77,68%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning can improve the problem solving skills of eighth grade science students at St.Yoseph-Naikoten Junior High School ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada mata pelajaran IPA siswa kelas VIII di SMP Katolik St. Yoseph-Naikoten melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan melakukan proses pembelajaran dua siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII D yang berjumlah 28 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes dan observasi. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi aktivitas guru, lembar observasi aktivitas peserta didik dan instrumen tes berupa soal essay. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa analisis data observasi aktivitas guru siklus I diperoleh persentase 71,42% meningkat menjadi 91,07% pada siklus II. Analisis data aktivitas peserta didik siklus I diperoleh persentase 67,85% meningkat menjadi 89,28% pada siklus II. Sedangkan untuk hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siklus I mencapai 39,64% dan pada siklus II mencapai 77,68%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada mata pelajaran IPA siswa kelas VIII di SMP Katolik St.Yoseph-Naikoten.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to explain conflict resolution in tourism development in the Bowosie forest in Gorontalo village, Komodo subdistrict, West Manggarai regency. The theory used in this study is the conflict resolution theory of Johan Galtung, which involves resolving conflicts in three stages: mediation, negotiation, and adjudication. The method used is qualitative with purposive sampling techniques. The results of this study indicate that in the development of tourism in the Bowosie Forest, there is a conflict of interest between traditional communities, local farmers, and the management authority, specifically the Labuan Bajo Flores Tourism Authority. There has been resistance from the local community residing on 37 hectares of the forest area within the Bowosie Forest, which has been used by the community for agricultural land and plantations. However, among the actors involved in the conflict, there are intellectual actors who do not appear on the surface, so the conflict resolution process has only reached the mediation stage. In this case, the Gorontalo Village Government facilitated mediation between the community and the management body, the Labuan Bajo Flores Tourism Authority (BPOLBF). However, the results of the mediation could not proceed to the next stage, namely negotiation or adjudication. The intellectual actors referred to are those with significant interests in the development of tourism, such as the drafters of Presidential Regulation 32/2018, corporations, and investors. Therefore, those present during the mediation could not bring these actors to the table as decision-makers to proceed to the next stage of negotiation. The conflict resolution process is still far from adjudication if it has not reached the negotiation stage between the actors with greater interests in the development of tourism in the Bowosie Forest in Gorontalo Village, Komodo Sub-district, West Manggarai District. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini hendak menjelaskan mengenai resolusi konflik dalam pengembangan pariwisata di hutan Bowosie desa Gorontalo kecamatan Komodo kabupaten Manggarai Barat. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori resolusi konflik dari Johan Galtung dengan upaya menyelesaiakan konflik dengan tiga tahap yaitu Mediasi, Negosiasi, Ajudikasi . Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa dalam pengembangan pariwisata di hutan Bowosie terjadi konflik kepentingan antara masyarakat tradisonal, petani lokal dan pengelola dalam hal ini Badan Otorita pariwisata Labuan Bajo Flores terjadi penolak dari masyarakat lokal yang mendiami 37 hekatar dari wilayah hutan yang termasuk dalam wilayah hutan Bowosie yang sudah digunakan masyarakat untuk lahan pertanian dan perkebunan. Namun dari bebrapa aktor dalam konflik tersebut terdapat aktor intelektual yang tidak muncul dipermukaan sehingga resolusi konflik yang dilakukan baru sampai tahap mediasi, dalam hal ini pemerintah Desa Gorontalo memfasilitasi untuk melakukan mediasi antara masyarakat dengan pihak pengelola yaitu BPOLBF namun hasil dari mediasi tersebut tidak bisa melanjutkan ketahap berikutnya yaitu Negosiasi, maupun Ajudikasi. aktor  intelektual yang dimaksud adalah mereka yang memiliki kepentingan besar dari pengembangan pariwisata ini yaitu, pembuat Perpres 32/2018, pihak korporasi maupun investor sehingga yang hadir saat mediasi tidak bisa menghadirkan aktor-aktor tersebut sebagai pengambil keputusan untuk  dilanjutakan ketahap berikutnya negosiasi. Resolusi konflik yang dilakukan masih jauh dari proses ajudikasi jika belum sampai ditahap negosisasi antara aktor-aktor yang punya kepentingan lebih dari pengembangan pariwisata di hutan Bowosie Desa Gorontalo Kecamatan Komodo kabupaten Manggrai Barat.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Femur fracture is one of the most common trauma cases that often requires surgical intervention using the Open Reduction Internal Fixation (ORIF) method. Post-ORIF patients are at high risk of developing surgical site infections; therefore, proper wound care in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP) is a crucial factor in preventing complications. This study aims to describe the implementation of wound care in preventing infection among post-ORIF femur fracture patients at TK Il Putri Hijau Hospital, Medan. The research employed a descriptive design with a case study approach involving two patients who underwent ORIF procedures. The nursing process included assessment, nursing diagnosis determination, intervention planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed that both patients initially presented with pain and surgical wounds that were moist, reddish, and had drainage. The interventions provided included wound condition monitoring, sterile dressing changes, administration of antibiotics as indicated, and patient and family education on wound care. The evaluation revealed significant improvement in wound conditions, indicated by reduced pain, dry wounds, absence of pus, decreased edema, and no necrotic tissue observed. These findings demonstrate that optimal wound care implementation in accordance with SOP effectively prevents infection in post-ORIF patients. In conclusion, wound care is an essential aspect of improving the healing quality of post-ORIF femur fracture patients; thus, nurses must apply appropriate, measurable, and continuous nursing actions ABSTRAK Fraktur femur merupakan salah satu kasus trauma yang sering memerlukan tindakan operasi dengan metode Open Reduction Internal Fixation (ORIF). Pasien post ORIF sangat berisiko mengalami infeksi luka operasi, sehingga perawatan luka yang tepat sesuai standar prosedur operasional menjadi faktor penting dalam mencegah komplikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan implementasi perawatan luka dalam pencegahan infeksi pada pasien post ORIF fraktur femur di Rumah Sakit TK II Putri Hijau Medan. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada dua pasien yang menjalani tindakan ORIF. Proses keperawatan meliputi pengkajian, penentuan diagnosa keperawatan, perumusan intervensi, implementasi, serta evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua pasien memiliki keluhan utama berupa nyeri dan luka operasi dengan kondisi awal basah, kemerahan, dan terdapat drainase. Intervensi yang diberikan meliputi pemantauan kondisi luka, penggantian balutan dengan teknik steril, pemberian antibiotik sesuai indikasi, serta edukasi kepada pasien dan keluarga terkait perawatan luka. Evaluasi menunjukkan adanya perbaikan signifikan pada kondisi luka, ditandai dengan berkurangnya nyeri, luka menjadi kering, tidak terdapat pus, edema menurun, serta tidak tampak jaringan nekrotik. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa implementasi perawatan luka yang optimal sesuai SOP mampu mencegah terjadinya infeksi pada pasien post ORIF. Kesimpulannya, perawatan luka merupakan aspek esensial dalam meningkatkan kualitas penyembuhan pasien post ORIF fraktur femur, sehingga perawat perlu menerapkan tindakan yang tepat, terukur, dan berkesinambungan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs caused by microorganisms such as pneumococeus, staphylococcus, streptococcus, and viruses that attack lung tissue. This study is entitled Implementation of Oxygen Therapy to Improve Gas Exchunge in Pneumonia Patients at TK II Putri Hijau Hospital Medan. The research method used is descriptive with a case study design. The subjects were two patients who received nursing interventions involving oxygen therapy for impaired gas exchange at TK Il Putri Hijau Hospital Medan. The results showed that after three days of providing nursing care with oxygen therapy to pneumonia patients with impaired gas exchange. both patients experienced normalized breathing. The conclusion from assessment to evaluation indicates that implementing nursing care for pneumonia patients with impaired gas exchange successfully restored normal respiration. The study suggests that future researchers explore oxygen therapy interventions for patients with impaired gas exchange in greater depth. For the community, attention and support in treatment programs, especially for pneumonia patients experiencing gas exchange disorders, are also necessary. ABSTRAK Pneumonia adalah infeksi yang menyerang pada paru-paru yang disebabkan oleh mikroorganisme pneumococcus, staphylococcus, streptococcus dan virus yang menyerang pada jaringan paru-paru. Penelitian ini berjudul Implementasi Terapi Oksigen Dalam Memperbaiki Pertukaran Gas Pada Pasien Pneumonia di Rumah Sakit TK 11 Putri Hijau Medan. Metode penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Subjek yang digunakan adalah 2 pasien dengan masalah keperawatan implementasi terapi oksigen pada pasien dengan gangguan pertukaran gas di Rumah Sakit TK II Putri Hijau Medan. Hasil penelitian dari kedua responden selama dilakukan asuhan keperawatan dengan terapi oksigen pada pasien pneumonia dengan gangguan pertukaran gas selama 3 hari di dapatkan pernapasan pada pasien kembali normal. Kesimpulan pengkajian sampai evaluasi dalam melakukan asuhan keperawatan pada pasien pneumonia dengan gangguan pertukaran gas berhasil didapatkan pernapasan kembali normal. Saran penelitian ini diharapkan peneliti selanjutnya mampu membahas terkait tindakan terapi oksigenisasi pasien yang mengalami gangguan pertukaran gas lebih mendalam lagi. Kesimpulan bagi masyarakat perlu memperhatikan dan memberi support dalam program pengobatan yang dilakukan khususnya pada pasien pneumonia dengan gangguan pertukaran gas

Abstract

BSTRACT This literature review explores how Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and the nursing career ladder contribute to improving nurses’ competence, motivation, and quality of care. Thirty national and international studies published from 2019 to 2025 were examined, covering aspects such as CPD implementation, influencing factors, organizational support, nurses’ perceptions, and the outcomes of structured career progression systems. The analysis indicates that CPD plays a key role in strengthening clinical skills, professional conduct, and overall performance through continuous learning. Additionally, career ladder programs offer clearer pathways for professional advancement, enhance job satisfaction, and lower turnover intention. Despite these advantages, challenges persist, including time constraints, limited institutional backing, inconsistent policies, financial limitations, and the underuse of digital systems for tracking competencies. Overall, the review emphasizes the importance of consistent CPD guidelines, stronger institutional engagement, and the integration of digital innovations like e-logbooks to support long-term professional growth. Further research is needed to evaluate the long-term effects of CPD and career ladder integration on patient safety and nursing care quality. ABSTRAK Literature review ini meninjau bagaimana Continuing Professional Development (CPD) dan jenjang karir perawat berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kompetensi, motivasi, dan mutu pelayanan keperawatan. Literature review ini mereview sebanyak 30 penelitian nasional dan internasional yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2019–2025 dianalisis, mencakup implementasi CPD, faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi, dukungan organisasi, persepsi perawat, serta dampak dari sistem jenjang karir yang terstruktur. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa CPD berperan penting dalam memperkuat keterampilan klinis, perilaku profesional, dan performa kerja melalui proses pembelajaran yang berkelanjutan. Di sisi lain, jenjang karir memberikan arah perkembangan profesional yang lebih jelas, meningkatkan kepuasan kerja, dan menurunkan keinginan untuk berpindah tempat kerja. Meski demikian, masih terdapat beberapa tantangan, seperti keterbatasan waktu, minimnya dukungan institusi, kebijakan yang tidak seragam, kendala biaya, serta kurang optimalnya penggunaan teknologi digital untuk pencatatan kompetensi. Secara keseluruhan, review ini menekankan perlunya pedoman CPD yang lebih terstandardisasi, keterlibatan institusi yang lebih kuat, dan pemanfaatan inovasi digital seperti e-logbook guna mendukung pengembangan profesional jangka panjang. Penelitian lanjutan diperlukan untuk menilai dampak jangka panjang integrasi CPD dan jenjang karir terhadap keselamatan pasien dan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was conducted in July of the 2024/2025 school year, at SMA Negeri 2 Kupang City which is located at Jalan S.K Lerik, Kelapa Lima, Kupang, NTT. The purpose of the research was to find out how the implementation of the Problem Based Learning Model on the material of environmental change and pollution can improve the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Kota Kupang. The research procedure used in this research is classroom action research developed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart which is carried out in a cyclic manner and each cycle consists of stages of plan (planning), act (implementation), observe (observation) and reflect (reflection). Data collection techniques in this study include observation data of both teachers and students and test questions in the form of 10 questions multiple choice and 5 fill-in questions. The research subjects were students of SMA Negeri 2 Kupang City Class X with a total of 34 people. The results showed that the implementation of problem-based learning (PBL) model can improve the learning outcomes of biology material on environmental change and pollution in class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Kota Kupang. This study consists of two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II, in cycle I the average value of teacher activity reached 3.14 with a percentage of 78.57% while students reached 2.22 with a percentage of 55.64%. In cycle II, the average teacher activity increased to 3.92 with a percentage of 98.21% while the average learner activity increased to 3.74 with a percentage of 93.57%. This had an impact on the learning outcomes obtained by students, in cycle I obtained an average score of 5.726 with 23.5% classical completeness. Then experienced an increase in cycle II, the average value reached 82.52 with a classical completeness of 91.17%. ABSTRAK Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli tahun ajaran 2024/2025, di SMA Negeri 2 Kota Kupang yang beralamat di Jalan S.K Lerik, Kelapa Lima, Kupang, NTT. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana Implementasi Model Problem Based Learning Pada Materi Perubahan dan Pencemaran Lingkungan Dapat Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Kota kupang. Prosedur penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang dilakukan secara bersiklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari tahapan-tahapan plan (perencanaan), act (pelaksanaan), observ (pengamatan) dan reflect (refleksi). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini mencakup data observasi baik guru maupun peserta didik dan soal test dalam bentuk 10 soal pilihan ganda dan 5 soal isian. Subjek penelitian peserta didik SMA Negeri 2 Kota Kupang Kelas X dengan jumlah 34 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model problem based learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi materi perubahan dan pencemaran lingkungan pada peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Kota Kupang. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus yakni siklus I dan siklus II, pada siklus I nilai rata-rata aktivitas guru mencapai 3,14 dengan persentase 78,57% sementara peserta didik mencapai 2,22 dengan persentase 55,64%. Pada siklus II rata-rata aktivitas guru mengalami peningkatan menjadi 3,92 dengan persentase 98,21% sementara rata-rata aktivitas peserta didik, meningkat menjadi 3,74 dengan persentase 93,57%. Hal ini berdampak pada hasil belajar yang diperoleh peserta didik, pada siklus I memperoleh nilai rata-rata 5,726 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 23,5%. Lalu mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II nilai rata-rata mencapai 82,52 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 91,17%.

Abstract

ABSTRACK This writing aims to determine the pattern and culture of reading among HMI Jambi Branch organizations and to complete the requirements as a candidate for General Chair of the Jambi Branch of HMI. positive encouragement to respond to the dynamics of the times both now and in the future. One of the weapons prepared to respond to the upheavals of the times is to foster a reading culture among activists. Efforts that must be made to create a reading culture include the establishment of discussion forums, scientific studies, book reviews and other activities that can provide stimulus to HMI cadres to create a reading culture. The reading culture is an effort to contextualize the objectives of HMI contained in article 4 of the Articles of Association "The development of academic people, creators, servants, who breathe Islam and are responsible for the realization of a just and prosperous society that is blessed by Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala." Forming a reading culture among Jambi Branch HMI Activists certainly has the main goal, namely wanting to restore the struggle and identity that has been lost from civilization in the academic world and the organizational world, especially the Jambi Branch HMI Organization, which incidentally is students from Batanghari University, Jambi University, Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin State Islamic University Jambi, Muhammadiyah University Jambi and other campuses. This type of writing is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the writing show that the majority of HMI Jambi Branch activists have abandoned the culture of reading as the main characteristic and character that must be maintained. As an organization whose cadre base is Muslim students, its main goal is to be able to produce cadres with academic, religious and humanitarian qualities. The HMI organization as a gathering place for Islamic students throughout the archipelago, always provides ABSTRAK Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola dan budaya membaca di kalangan organisatoris HMI Cabang Jambi serta melengkapi persyaratan sebagai kandidat Calon Ketua Umum HMI Cabang Jambi. Jenis penulisan ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penulisan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar kalangan aktvivis HMI Cabang Jambi sudah meninggalkan budaya membaca sebagai ciri dan karakter utama yang harus dipertahankan. Sebagai organisasi dengan basis kadernya adalah mahasiswa muslim, maka tujuan utamanya adalah mampu melahirkan kader-kader yang berkualitas akademis, religius, dan humanitas. Organisasi HMI sebagai wadah berkumpulnya mahasiswa islam se-nusantara, selalu memberikan dorongan yang positif guna merespon dinamika zaman baik di masa kini dan di masa yang akan datang, salah satu senjata yang dipersiapkan guna merespon pergolakan zaman adalah dengan menumbuhkan budaya membaca dikalangan aktivisnya. Upaya-upaya yang harus dilakukan guna membentuk budaya membaca adalah dengan dibentuknya forum-forum diskusi, kajian ilmiah, bedah buku, dan kegiatan lainnya yang dapat memberikan stimulus kepada kader HMI guna melahhirkan budaya membaca. Budaya membaca adalah sebagai upaya mengkontekstualisasikan tujuan HMI yang terkandung dalam pasal 4 Anggaran Dasar “Terbinanya Insan Akademis, Pencipta, Pengabdi, yang bernafaskan Islam dan bertanggungjawab atas terwujudnya masyarakat adil makmur yang di ridhoi Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala”. Membentuk budaya membaca di kalangan Aktivis HMI Cabang Jambi tentunya memiliki tujuan utama yaitu ingin mengembalikan khittah perjuangan dan identitas yang telah hilang dari peradaban dunia akademis dan dunia organisatoris khususnya Organisasi HMI Cabang Jambi yang notabenenya adalah Mahasiswa/i Universitas Batanghari, Universitas Jambi, Universitas Islam Negeri Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, Universitas Muhammadiyah Jambi dan Kampus lainnya.
