Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengelolaan hubungan masyarakat dalam membangun citra madrasah unggulan di MI Al-Hidayah Mangli Jember melalui konsep branding JUARA yang merepresentasikan nilai jujur, unggul, amanah, ramah, dan agamais. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan strategi humas dalam merancang dan mengimplementasikan program komunikasi serta publikasi yang bertujuan memperkuat identitas lembaga, sekaligus mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan kendala yang muncul dalam proses tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, melibatkan kepala madrasah, staf humas dan staf TU sebagai subjek utama. Data diperoleh melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan humas yang dilakukan secara terencana melalui kegiatan keagamaan, kolaborasi masyarakat, penguatan komunikasi interpersonal, dan publikasi terarah berperan signifikan dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan publik serta berdampak pada meningkatnya jumlah pendaftar baru. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi lembaga pendidikan lainnya sebagai model dalam merancang strategi humas berbasis nilai religius, kedekatan sosial, dan keterlibatan komunitas.   Abstract This study aims to analyze the management of public relations in building the image of an outstanding madrasah at MI Al-Hidayah Mangli Jember through the JUARA branding concept, which represents the values of honesty, excellence, trustworthiness, friendliness, and religiosity. The research purposes on describing the public relations strategies used to design and implement communication and publication programs intended to strengthen the institution’s identity, while also identifying supporting factors and challenges that arise during the process. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, the study involved the head of the madrasah, public relations staff, and administrative staff as the primary subjects. Data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that well-planned public relations management implemented through religious activities, community collaboration, strengthened interpersonal communication, and targeted publications plays a significant role in enhancing public trust and contributes to the increasing number of new student applicants. These findings provide practical contributions for other educational institutions as a model for designing public relations strategies based on religious values, social connectedness, and community engagement.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya work engagement guru di beberapa satuan pendidikan yang dipengaruhi oleh motivasi kerja yang belum optimal serta dukungan kepemimpinan yang kurang efektif. Sebagai upaya pemecahan masalah, kepemimpinan transformasional dipandang sebagai strategi yang mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan kerja guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap work engagement guru serta menguji peran motivasi kerja sebagai variabel mediasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan subjek seluruh guru MI Ma’arif Panjeng sebanyak 43 responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) sebagai alat analisis data dengan bantuan SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja dan work engagement guru. Motivasi kerja juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap work engagement serta memediasi pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap work engagement. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan kepemimpinan transformasional dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan kerja guru secara berkelanjutan.   Abstract This study was motivated by the low work engagement of teachers in several educational units, which was influenced by suboptimal work motivation and ineffective leadership support. As a solution to this problem, transformational leadership is seen as a strategy that can increase teacher motivation and work engagement. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of transformational leadership on teacher work engagement and to examine the role of work motivation as a mediating variable. This study is a quantitative study with 43 respondents, consisting of all teachers at MI Ma'arif Panjeng. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) as a data analysis tool with the help of SmartPLS. The results showed that transformational leadership had a positive and significant effect on teachers' work motivation and work engagement. Work motivation also had a significant effect on work engagement and mediated the effect of transformational leadership on work engagement. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening transformational leadership in improving teachers' motivation and work engagement in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Abstrak Manajemen sekolah Islam di pesantren modern menghadapi tantangan globalisasi, profesionalisme pendidikan, serta kebutuhan integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dengan praktik manajerial kontemporer. Kepemimpinan sekolah Islam tidak hanya dituntut cakap secara administratif, tetapi juga mampu mengambil keputusan yang rasional, etis, dan berlandaskan nilai spiritual. Namun, dalam praktiknya masih dijumpai persoalan kepemimpinan yang bersifat personalistik, kurang transparan, dan minim integrasi antara akal dan wahyu. Pemikiran Al-Kindi sebagai filsuf Muslim klasik menawarkan landasan filosofis yang menekankan penggunaan akal sebagai anugerah Tuhan yang selaras dengan wahyu dalam pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemikiran Al-Kindi tentang kepemimpinan dan pengambilan keputusan serta relevansinya dalam manajemen sekolah Islam di Pondok Pesantren Al-Ihsan Boarding School Riau. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan di pesantren tersebut dijalankan secara partisipatif, berlandaskan musyawarah, dan berorientasi pada kemaslahatan lembaga. Proses pengambilan keputusan mengintegrasikan pertimbangan rasional, nilai-nilai keislaman, dan tanggung jawab etis, yang menunjukkan kesesuaian signifikan dengan pemikiran Al-Kindi.   Abstract Islamic school management in modern pesantren faces challenges related to globalization, educational professionalism, and the need to integrate Islamic values with contemporary managerial practices. Leadership in Islamic schools is not only required to be administratively competent but also capable of making rational, ethical, and spiritually grounded decisions. However, in practice, leadership problems such as personalistic decision-making, lack of transparency, and limited integration between reason and revelation are still frequently encountered. Al-Kindi’s thought as a classical Muslim philosopher offers a philosophical foundation that emphasizes the use of reason as a divine gift that is harmonious with revelation in the decision-making process. This study aims to analyze Al-Kindi’s ideas on leadership and decision-making and examine their relevance to Islamic school management at Al-Ihsan Boarding School Riau. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that leadership at the pesantren is implemented in a participatory manner, based on deliberation (shūrā), and oriented toward institutional welfare. The decision-making process integrates rational considerations, Islamic values, and ethical responsibility, demonstrating a significant alignment with Al-Kindi’s thought.

Abstract

Abstrak Transformasi digital telah mendorong perubahan signifikan dalam manajemen pendidikan, khususnya dalam pemanfaatan data pembelajaran sebagai dasar pengambilan keputusan. Sekolah saat ini tidak hanya berperan sebagai institusi pembelajaran, tetapi juga sebagai organisasi pengelola data yang kompleks. Salah satu pendekatan yang berkembang pesat dalam konteks ini adalah learning analytics, yaitu pemanfaatan data pembelajaran untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan berbasis bukti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan learning analytics dalam pengambilan keputusan manajerial di sekolah serta mengidentifikasi peluang dan tantangan implementasinya di era transformasi digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi literatur sistematis terhadap 55 artikel ilmiah yang terindeks di Scopus dan Google Scholar, dan dipublikasikan pada periode 2020–2025. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola pemanfaatan learning analytics dalam manajemen sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa learning analytics berperan penting dalam meningkatkan efektivitas perencanaan kebijakan, evaluasi kinerja guru, serta kualitas pengambilan keputusan berbasis data. Namun demikian, implementasinya masih menghadapi tantangan berupa keterbatasan literasi data pendidik, kesiapan infrastruktur teknologi, serta isu etika dan perlindungan data peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan dukungan kebijakan dan penguatan kompetensi sumber daya manusia agar pemanfaatan learning analytics dapat berjalan secara optimal.   Abstract Digital transformation has significantly reshaped educational management, particularly in the use of learning data to support managerial decision-making. Schools are no longer solely instructional institutions but have evolved into complex data-driven organizations. One emerging approach in this context is learning analytics, which utilizes learning data to inform evidence-based decisions. This study aims to analyze the use of learning analytics in managerial decision-making in schools and to identify the opportunities and challenges associated with its implementation in the digital transformation era. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach through a systematic literature review of 55 scholarly articles indexed in Scopus and Google Scholar, published during the 2020–2025 period.. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify key patterns related to the application of learning analytics in school management. The findings reveal that learning analytics plays a crucial role in enhancing policy planning, teacher performance evaluation, and the effectiveness of data-driven decision-making processes. However, several challenges remain, including limited data literacy among educators, inadequate technological infrastructure, and ethical concerns related to student data privacy. Therefore, the study highlights the importance of policy support and capacity building for school leaders and teachers to ensure the effective and responsible implementation of learning analytics in educational management.
