Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana di SMA Negeri 15 Muaro Jambi serta dampaknya terhadap proses pembelajaran. Sarana pendidikan, seperti ruang kelas, laboratorium, perpustakaan, teknologi pembelajaran, dan fasilitas sanitasi yang memadai merupakan komponen penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang efektif, nyaman, dan kondusif. Namun, kondisi nyata di sekolah menunjukkan masih terdapat berbagai keterbatasan, mulai dari jumlah ruang kelas yang kurang, laboratorium yang belum dilengkapi peralatan standar, hingga minimnya fasilitas pendukung lain yang seharusnya menunjang aktivitas belajar mengajar. Keterbatasan infrastruktur ini terbukti memberikan dampak langsung terhadap motivasi siswa, efektivitas proses pembelajaran, serta kinerja guru dalam menyampaikan materi. Guru mengalami hambatan dalam mengimplementasikan metode pembelajaran inovatif, sementara siswa kurang terdorong untuk aktif karena sarana belajar tidak mendukung kebutuhan mereka. Temuan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan manajemen pendidikan, khususnya dalam aspek perencanaan dan pengelolaan sarana prasarana yang berbasis pada kebutuhan riil sekolah. Rekomendasi yang dihasilkan dapat menjadi rujukan penting bagi pengambil kebijakan untuk merumuskan strategi kelembagaan pendidikan yang lebih adil, merata, dan optimal demi terciptanya kualitas pembelajaran yang lebih baik.  Abstract This study aims to examine the limitations of facilities and infrastructure at SMA Negeri 15 Muaro Jambi and their impact on the learning process. Educational facilities such as classrooms, laboratories, libraries, learning technologies, and adequate sanitation are essential components in creating an effective, comfortable, and conducive learning environment. However, the actual conditions at the school indicate that there are still various limitations, ranging from the insufficient number of classrooms, laboratories that are not yet equipped with standard tools, to the lack of supporting facilities that should ideally enhance teaching and learning activities. These infrastructural shortcomings have been proven to directly affect student motivation, the effectiveness of the learning process, and teacher performance in delivering material. Teachers face obstacles in implementing innovative teaching methods, while students are less encouraged to be active due to the inadequacy of learning facilities to meet their needs. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the development of educational management, particularly in the planning and management of facilities and infrastructure based on the real needs of schools. The recommendations produced may serve as an important reference for policymakers in formulating more equitable, inclusive, and optimal educational institutional strategies to achieve better learning quality.

Abstract

Abstrak Sekolah sebagai institusi pendidikan berperan penting dalam membentuk generasi yang berkualitas sesuai dengan tujuan pendidikan nasional. Dalam konteks ini, kepala sekolah memegang peran strategis sebagai pemimpin yang bertanggung jawab atas kelangsungan proses belajar mengajar dan pembinaan kedisiplinan guru. Gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah sangat menentukan dalam menciptakan budaya kerja yang disiplin dan profesional di lingkungan sekolah. Kepemimpinan yang persuasif, demokratis, serta memberikan teladan akan meningkatkan kinerja dan tanggung jawab guru terhadap tugasnya. Oleh karena itu, gaya kepemimpinan kepala madrasah menjadi faktor kunci dalam mengembangkan kedisiplinan guru menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif dan bermutu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan perlunya pengembangan disiplin guru di madrasah dan mengidentifikasi faktor yang memengaruhi kedisiplinan guru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan content analysis (analisis isi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala madrasah berperan penting dalam pengembangan disiplin guru disertai adanya faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kedisiplinan guru sebagai teladan bagi peserta didik.   Abstract Schools as educational institutions play an important role in forming a quality generation in accordance with national education goals. In this context, the principal plays a strategic role as a leader who is responsible for the continuity of the teaching and learning process and fostering teacher discipline. The principal's leadership style is very important in creating a disciplined and professional work culture in the school environment. Persuasive, democratic leadership, and providing examples will improve teacher performance and responsibility for their duties. Therefore, the leadership style of the madrasah principal is a key factor in developing teacher discipline to create a conducive and quality school environment. This study aims to explain the need for developing teacher discipline in madrasahs and identify factors that influence teacher discipline. This study is a literature study with a qualitative approach, while the data analysis technique uses content analysis. The results of the study indicate that the leadership of the madrasah principal plays an important role in developing teacher discipline along with factors that influence teacher discipline as a role model for students.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi manajemen hubungan masyarakat (humas) yang efektif dalam membangun reputasi positif sekolah di mata publik, sebuah aset tidak berwujud dan krusial di era kompetisi pendidikan yang ketat. Meskipun peran pentingnya humas diakui, banyak sekolah di Indonesia masih menghadapi tantangan dalam implementasi strategi yang terstruktur, termasuk kesenjangan kompetensi dalam pengelolaan media sosial dan penanganan krisis reputasi online. Transformasi digital mempercepat penyebaran informasi, sehingga reputasi sekolah dapat terbentuk atau rusak dalam hitungan jam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan merumuskan strategi manajemen humas yang paling efektif dalam membangun dan mempertahankan reputasi positif sekolah di mata publik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka sistematis, dengan menganalisis berbagai model manajemen humas strategis, strategi komunikasi digital, pendekatan manajemen krisis reputasi, pengukuran efektivitas humas, serta integrasi nilai-nilai lokal. Melalui analisis terhadap 30 artikel jurnal ilmiah dan publikasi profesional yang relevan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model humas simetris dua arah terbukti paling efektif, menempatkan komunikasi sebagai proses timbal balik antara sekolah dan publik. Strategi-strategi kunci yang ditemukan meliputi konsistensi pesan dan interaksi proaktif di platform digital, kemampuan merespons krisis dengan cepat, transparan, dan empatik, urgensi integrasi nilai lokal, serta pemanfaatan narasi dan storytelling autentik. Temuan juga menyoroti perlunya mengatasi kesenjangan kapasitas dalam implementasi humas di sekolah-sekolah Indonesia.   Abstract This research examines effective public relations (PR) management strategies in building a positive school reputation in the public eye, an intangible asset crucial in the era of intense educational competition. Despite the acknowledged important role of PR, many schools in Indonesia still face challenges in implementing structured strategies, including competency gaps in social media management and handling online reputation crises. Digital transformation accelerates the spread of information, allowing school reputations to be built or damaged within hours. The objective of this study is to analyze and formulate the most effective PR management strategies for building and maintaining a positive school reputation in the public eye. The research method employed is a systematic literature review, analyzing various strategic PR management models, digital communication strategies, approaches to reputation crisis management, PR effectiveness measurement, and the integration of local values. Through the analysis of 30 relevant scholarly journal articles and professional publications, the main findings indicate that the two-way symmetric PR model proves most effective, positioning communication as a reciprocal process between the school and its public. Key strategies identified include message consistency and proactive interaction on digital platforms, the ability to respond to crises quickly, transparently, and empathetically, the urgency of integrating local values, and the utilization of authentic narratives and storytelling. The findings also highlight the necessity of addressing capacity gaps in PR implementation within Indonesian schools.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana di MAN 2 Semarang guna meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya manajemen fasilitas pendidikan yang efektif untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar kondusif sesuai standar nasional, dan mendukung pencapaian tujuan pendidikan. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi hasil observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi yang dikaitkan dengan 15 teori manajemen pendidikan terkini, sehingga memberikan gambaran komprehensif kondisi nyata di lapangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus, melibatkan informan kunci (kepala madrasah, wakil kepala bidang sarpras, kepala TU) dan informan pendukung (guru, tenaga kependidikan, siswa). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas sarana dan prasarana berada pada kondisi layak, namun terdapat kendala berupa keterbatasan dana, keterlambatan pengadaan, dan ketidakmerataan fasilitas multimedia. Strategi perbaikan yang diimplementasikan mencakup renovasi perpustakaan, pemerataan fasilitas pembelajaran, pemeliharaan preventif, dan kemitraan dengan pihak eksternal. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan optimalisasi pemanfaatan teknologi informasi, diversifikasi pendanaan, dan peningkatan partisipasi warga sekolah untuk menciptakan manajemen fasilitas yang berkelanjutan.   Abstrak This study aims to evaluate the management of facilities and infrastructure at MAN 2 Semarang to improve the quality of the learning process. The research is grounded on the importance of effective educational facility management in creating a conducive learning environment, meeting national standards, and supporting educational goals. The novelty of this study lies in integrating findings from observation, interviews, and documentation, linked to 15 contemporary educational management theories, thus providing a comprehensive picture of real conditions in the field. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving key informants (principal, vice principal for facilities, head of administration) and supporting informants (teachers, educational staff, students). The findings indicate that most facilities are in good condition, but challenges remain in the form of limited funding, procurement delays, and unequal distribution of multimedia equipment. Improvement strategies implemented include library renovation, equitable provision of learning facilities, preventive maintenance, and partnerships with external stakeholders. The study recommends optimizing the use of information technology, diversifying funding sources, and enhancing school community participation to achieve sustainable facility management.

Abstract

Abstrak Manajemen pendidikan Islam bukan hanya berkaitan dengan upaya mencapai efisiensi administratif, tetapi juga menekankan pentingnya integrasi nilai-nilai Islami sebagai fondasi moral dan etika dalam penyelenggaraan lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji relevansi dan penerapan pengembangan nilai-nilai Islami dalam praktik manajemen pendidikan, khususnya pada fungsi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, serta evaluasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, yang menelaah berbagai literatur ilmiah dari jurnal nasional dan internasional yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai seperti musyawarah, kejujuran, amanah, keadilan, ihsan, serta tanggung jawab memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam membentuk sistem manajemen yang profesional, etis, dan bernuansa spiritual. Nilai-nilai tersebut diyakini mampu mendorong terciptanya budaya kerja yang harmonis dan produktif. Namun, temuan juga menunjukkan bahwa penerapan nilai-nilai Islami masih belum optimal di sejumlah institusi pendidikan, baik karena keterbatasan pemahaman maupun lemahnya komitmen pimpinan. Oleh sebab itu, penguatan pengembangan nilai-nilai Islami menjadi strategi penting untuk menumbuhkan budaya mutu, membangun karakter seluruh pelaku pendidikan, dan mewujudkan tata kelola lembaga pendidikan Islam yang bermartabat dan berdaya saing.   Abstract Islamic education management is not only concerned with achieving administrative efficiency but also emphasizes the importance of integrating Islamic values as moral and ethical foundations in the administration of educational institutions. This study aims to examine the relevance and implementation of developing Islamic values in educational management practices, particularly in the functions of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a descriptive qualitative approach, reviewing various scholarly literature from relevant national and international journals. The findings indicate that values such as deliberation (shura), honesty, trustworthiness (amanah), justice, excellence (ihsan), and responsibility play a significant role in shaping a professional, ethical, and spiritually nuanced management system. These values are believed to foster a harmonious and productive work culture. However, the study also reveals that the application of Islamic values remains suboptimal in several educational institutions, due to limited understanding and weak leadership commitment. Therefore, strengthening the development of Islamic values is seen as a vital strategy to cultivate a culture of quality, build the character of all education stakeholders, and realize an Islamic educational governance that is dignified and competitive.

Abstract

Abstrak Era Society 5.0 mendorong integrasi teknologi dalam berbagai bidang, termasuk pendidikan, sehingga pesantren salafiyah sebagai lembaga pendidikan tradisional di Indonesia perlu beradaptasi agar tetap relevan di tengah arus digitalisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi adaptasi yang diterapkan oleh dua pesantren salafiyah di Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur, yaitu Pondok Pesantren Darul Amien dan Pondok Pesantren Safinatul Huda, dengan fokus pada manajemen sumber daya manusia dan pengembangan sistem pembelajaran. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, sedangkan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen untuk memperoleh gambaran yang komprehensif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua pesantren menerapkan pendekatan berbeda dalam menghadapi tantangan digital. Pondok Pesantren Darul Amien lebih berhati-hati dengan mengutamakan pengawasan ketat terhadap penggunaan teknologi pembelajaran, sedangkan Pondok Pesantren Safinatul Huda mulai melaksanakan pelatihan keterampilan digital bagi tenaga pendidik dan santri. Keduanya menghadapi kendala serupa berupa keterbatasan infrastruktur teknologi, kurangnya kompetensi SDM dalam pengelolaan konten digital, dan tantangan dalam menjaga selektivitas informasi. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya digitalisasi pesantren yang kontekstual melalui pemilihan teknologi tepat guna dan penguatan kapasitas SDM untuk mendukung transformasi berkelanjutan.   Abstract The Society 5.0 era encourages the integration of technology in various fields, including education, so that salafiyah Islamic boarding schools as traditional educational institutions in Indonesia need to adapt to remain relevant amidst the flow of digitalization. This study aims to analyze the adaptation strategies implemented by two salafiyah Islamic boarding schools in Banyuwangi, East Java, namely Darul Amien Islamic Boarding School and Safinatul Huda Islamic Boarding School, with a focus on human resource management and learning system development. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design, while data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document analysis to obtain a comprehensive picture. The results of the study show that the two Islamic boarding schools apply different approaches in facing digital challenges. Darul Amien Islamic Boarding School is more careful by prioritizing strict supervision of the use of learning technology, while Safinatul Huda Islamic Boarding School has begun implementing digital skills training for educators and students. Both face similar obstacles in the form of limited technological infrastructure, lack of HR competence in managing digital content, and challenges in maintaining information selectivity. This finding emphasizes the importance of contextual digitalization of Islamic boarding schools through the selection of appropriate technology and strengthening human resource capacity to support sustainable transformation.

Abstract

Abstrak Fenomena hijrah instan kini menjadi pembahasan penting dalam dinamika keagamaan kontemporer, terutama di kalangan generasi muda. Fenomena ini seringkali dipengaruhi oleh informasi di media sosial yang tidak disertai dengan pendalaman pemahaman keagamaan yang memadai. Akibatnya, muncul pola keberagamaan yang sekedar berfokus pada fisik dan simbolik  yang berisiko melahirkan sikap eksklusif atau bahkan intoleran. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis lebih mendalam fenomena hijrah instan serta peran pendidikan Islam dalam membentuk pemahaman keagamaan yang kritis dan mendalam, melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode kajian pustaka (library research). Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Islam perlu merevitalisasi kurikulum, memperkuat literasi keagamaan digital, meningkatkan kompetensi guru, serta membangun ekosistem belajar yang kolaboratif agar dapat menanamkan makna hijrah sebagai proses transformasi spiritual, intelektual, dan moral secara menyeluruh. Dengan pendekatan yang menyeluruh dan terintegrasi, pendidikan Islam diharapkan mampu menanamkan konsep hijrah sebagai proses transformasi jiwa dan akhlak yang mendalam dan berkelanjutan, bukan sekadar perubahan simbolik semata.   Abstract  The phenomenon of instant hijrah has now become an important discussion in contemporary religious dynamics, especially among the younger generation. This phenomenon is often influenced by information on social media that is not accompanied by adequate in-depth understanding of religion. As a result, a pattern of religiosity emerges that only focuses on the physical and symbolic which risks giving rise to exclusive or even intolerant attitudes. This article aims to analyze in more depth the phenomenon of instant hijrah and the role of Islamic education in forming a critical and in-depth understanding of religion, through a descriptive qualitative approach with a library research method. The results of the study indicate that Islamic education needs to revitalize the curriculum, strengthen digital religious literacy, improve teacher competence, and build a collaborative learning ecosystem in order to instill the meaning of hijrah as a process of spiritual, intellectual, and moral transformation as a whole. With a comprehensive and integrated approach, Islamic education is expected to be able to instill the concept of hijrah as a process of profound and sustainable transformation of the soul and morals, not just a mere symbolic change.

Permasalahan tersebut menuntut model kepemimpinan yang mampu menggerakkan, memberdayakan, dan memberi arah strategis bagi seluruh sivitas akademika. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan kepemimpinan transformasional dalam pengelolaan Program Doktor MPI serta kontribusinya terhadap peningkatan kualitas program. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data mengikuti model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa empat dimensi kepemimpinan transformasional, visi inspiratif, pengaruh ideal, stimulasi intelektual, dan perhatian individual, terimplementasi secara konsisten dan berdampak pada peningkatan budaya riset, efektivitas bimbingan, kolaborasi akademik, serta pencapaian akreditasi unggul. Nilai-nilai keislaman seperti amanah dan musyawarah turut memperkuat praktik kepemimpinan. Penelitian menyarankan penguatan sistem bimbingan personal, perluasan jejaring riset internasional, dan pengembangan kurikulum interdisipliner untuk mendukung keberlanjutan mutu program. Novelty artikel ini terletak pada perumusan kerangka kepemimpinan transformasional yang mengintegrasikan tata kelola akademik, bimbingan personal, dan nilai-nilai Islam dalam pengelolaan Program Doktor MPI.   Abstract The Doctoral Program in Islamic Education Management (MPI) at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi faces challenges in improving academic quality, research productivity, and study completion rates, particularly amid the rapidly changing demands of higher education. These issues require a leadership model capable of mobilizing, empowering, and providing strategic direction for the entire academic community. This study aims to analyze the application of transformational leadership in the management of the MPI Doctoral Program and its contribution to enhancing program quality. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Data analysis follows the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model. The findings show that the four dimensions of transformational leadership, inspirational vision, idealized influence, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration, are consistently implemented and have a positive impact on strengthening the research culture, improving supervision effectiveness, fostering academic collaboration, and achieving excellent accreditation. Islamic values such as amanah and musyawarah further reinforce leadership practices. The study recommends strengthening the personal supervision system, expanding international research networks, and developing an interdisciplinary curriculum to support the program’s sustainable quality enhancement. The novelty of this article lies in formulating a transformational leadership framework that integrates academic governance, personal supervision, and Islamic values in managing the MPI Doctoral Program.

Abstract

Abstrak Adanya kesenjangan penggajian dan jaminan sosial antara guru ASN dan Non ASN di sekolah negeri menjadi problematika sampai sekarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pembinaan kesejahteraan bagi guru ASN dan non-ASN pada sekolah negeri khusunya SD dan SMP. Metode yang digunakan adalah wawancara dengan 10 kepala sekolah yang dipilih secara purposive sampling pada tahun 2025, data direkam, ditranskripsikan, dan dianalisis secara kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan Miles dan Huberman dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pembinaan bagi ASN lebih terstruktur karena adanya regulasi yang jelas seperti gaji, jaminan sosial, dan akses pelatihan yang mendukung jenjang karir, sedangkan bagi non-ASN pembinaan sangat bergantung pada alokasi RKAS atau BOS dalam hal penggajian, jaminan sosial yang bergantung pada kebijakan sekolah dan inisiatif sendiri, serta akses pelatihan yang belum berdampak pada jenjang karir. Faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap kesenjangan meliputi ketergantungan pada dana BOS, kapasitas fiskal sekolah, praktik rekrutmen yang variatif, frekuensi atau keterlambatan pembayaran honor, dan akses subsidi BPJS. Kepala sekolah berperan dalam pengambilan kebijakan namun bergantung pada regulasi dan anggaran. Disarankan standardisasi honor minimum di tingkat daerah, alokasi anggaran khusus pembinaan dan subsidi jaminan sosial, dan penguatan kapabilitas kepala sekolah dalam perencanaan anggaran dan pembinaan yang berkelanjutan.   Abstract The gap in salaries and social security between ASN and non-ASN teachers in public schools remains a problem to this day. This study aims to describe and analyze welfare development for ASN and non-ASN teachers in public schools, especially elementary and junior high schools. The method used was interviews with 10 principals selected by purposive sampling in 2025. Data were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed qualitatively using the Miles and Huberman approach with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that development for ASN is more structured due to clear regulations such as salaries, social security, and access to training that supports career paths, while for non-ASN development is highly dependent on the allocation of RKAS or BOS in terms of salaries, social security that depends on school policies and their own initiatives, and access to training that has not yet impacted career paths. Factors contributing to the gap include dependence on BOS funds, school fiscal capacity, varied recruitment practices, frequency or delays in honorarium payments, and access to BPJS subsidies. Principals play a role in policymaking but are dependent on regulations and budgets. It is recommended that minimum honorariums be standardized at the regional level, a dedicated budget allocated for social security development and subsidies, and principals' capabilities in budget planning and sustainable development be strengthened.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan berperan penting dalam lembaga pendidikan Islam, termasuk Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri (PTKIN). Penetapan dan pengangkatan rektor/ketua di PTKIN saat ini dilakukan oleh Menteri. Namun, peraturan ini tidak selalu diterima oleh sivitas akademika kampus, dan kenyataannya kepemimpinan PTKIN saat ini masih memiliki beberapa problematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis masalah yang terjadi dalamepemimpinan di PTKIN. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi pustaka. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari buku, jurnal, artikel, laporan ilmiah yang sudah ada sebelumnya dan relevan dengan objek kajian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat ketidakadilan dalam perekrutan kepemimpinan di PTKIN yang tidak didasarkan pada kualifikasi dan kompetensi. Sehingga masih banyak praktik nepotisme atau hubungan pribadi, yang mengakibatkan masalah internal dan eksternal di kampus. Selain itu, sebagian besar pimpinan PTKIN belum memiliki mindset otonom dan enterpreneurship, terdapat kurangnya transparansi dan akuntabilitas dalam pengelolaan dana pendidikan yang dapat menimbulkan praktik korupsi dalam kepemimpinan PTKIN. Oleh karena itu, cukup banyak yang belum menerapkan kepemimpinan berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip kepemim-pinan pendidikan Islam.   Abstrack Leadership plays an important role in Islamic educational institutions, including State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN). The determination and appointment of rectors or chairpersons in PTKIN are currently carried out by the Minister. However, this regulation is not always accepted by the academic community, and in reality, leadership in PTKIN still faces several problems. This study aims to analyze the issues occurring within the scope of leadership in PTKIN. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature study method. The data were obtained from books, journals, articles, and scientific reports that have previously been published and are relevant to the object of study. The findings indicate that there is still injustice in the recruitment of leadership in PTKIN, which is not based on qualifications and competencies. As a result, there are many practices of nepotism or personal relationships that lead to internal and external problems within campuses. In addition, most PTKIN leaders do not yet possess an autonomous and entrepreneurial mindset, and there is a lack of transparency and accountability in the management of educational funds, which can give rise to corrupt practices in PTKIN leadership. Therefore, many PTKIN leaders have not yet implemented leadership based on the principles of Islamic educational leadership.
