Abstract

Stunting remains a major health challenge in Indonesia, particularly in lower-middle-income regions. The primary cause of stunting is chronic malnutrition during the first 1,000 days of life, exacerbated by poor hygiene and limited access to healthcare facilities. According to the 2022 Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI), the national stunting prevalence is 21.6%, with East Java at 19.2%. If left unaddressed, stunting can negatively impact physical and cognitive development, as well as the overall quality of human resources in the future. As a preventive effort, the "Building a Healthy Generation through Parenting Education for Stunting Prevention in Dusun Masangan" program was conducted by the Vidhyadhyana KKN Group. This program aims to enhance parental understanding of proper childcare, balanced nutrition, and stunting prevention through educational approaches. The methods include counseling, parental assistance, and the involvement of posyandu cadres and community leaders in supporting child development. The results indicate an increase in participants' understanding of the importance of balanced nutrition and proper parenting. Activities such as child and elderly posyandu services, as well as outreach programs for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, provided new insights and skills for families to maintain their health. This program is expected to foster a healthier, smarter, and more productive generation while reducing stunting rates in Dusun Masangan and surrounding areas.

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as hypertension, diabetes, and obesity have become major health issues in Indonesia, with their prevalence continuously increasing, particularly in urban areas. This study aims to describe the implementation of the NAGA SAKTI Program in raising public awareness about NCDs. The method used is a community-based approach that involves blood pressure measurement, random blood glucose (RBG) test, and Body Mass Index (BMI) assessment, followed by education through leaflets and discussions. The program results show that the majority of participants are at risk for hypertension (50% pre-hypertension), and 6.8% show high blood glucose levels, indicating a risk of diabetes. Group exercise and health education have proven effective in increasing public understanding of the importance of early detection of NCDs. This program also successfully raised awareness of healthy lifestyles within the community. It is expected that the NAGA SAKTI Program can be used as a model for sustainable community service and can be implemented in other urban areas to reduce the prevalence of NCDs.

Abstract

Every workplace, both formal and informal, has various potential hazards that can affect the health of workers or can cause occupational diseases. In the furniture industry, workers are at risk of being exposed to potential hazards that can cause health and safety problems, including furniture UMKM at CV Rumah Menyala in Tegalsari Village, Kandeman, Batang. The results of a preliminary survey found that 10 people were interviewed, 6 of whom admitted that they often experienced shortness of breath while working, 5 people experienced pain in the back (musculus ceretal disorder), 2 people experienced visual impairment due to exposure to sawdust dust. Another problem is that the unavailability of occupational disease prevention management means that the hazards and risks in the workplace cannot be controlled. With these problems, we conducted counseling activities using lecture methods and practical assistance to increase knowledge and awareness of the management of CV Rumah Menyala which was attended by 4 people starting by providing educational understanding related to the importance of a healthy and comfortable work environment to carry out work activities and management can be more active in preventing occupational diseases from every potential hazard found in the workplace with the results of recommendations for a safe, healthy production room layout with the arrangement of storage space for tools and raw materials, personal protective equipment and the installation of a dust extractor from the remaining wood cutting furniture and recommendations for its control.

Abstract

The goal of this community service is to optimize the use of digital technology for learning at SMA Negeri 1 Ungaran through project-based differentiated learning. 36 students who are active in school organizations and two teachers who guide student organizations will participate in this service. Through training on the CapCut video editing application, students will develop digital skills and learn to use devices productively for creating video content. CapCut enables students to express their creativity by producing educational content, combining conventional and digital media for differentiated learning. Training results showed a significant increase in students' understanding of positive device usage, with an average post-test score of 78, higher than the pre-test score of 67. Students were enthusiastic during the workshop sessions where they created and edited videos and applied their newfound skills to make useful learning videos. Students also demonstrated the ability to create narratives and communicate through scripts, as well as the ability to search for information on the internet, thus enriching their knowledge on topics of interest. This training benefits both students and teachers by introducing the CapCut application as a tool that can be used in formal learning and extracurricular activities. Thus, the activity successfully contributed to improving students' digital competence and reducing their use of devices for unproductive purposes.

Participating students were actively involved in inputting OKR data, synchronizing job descriptions, and assisting with final validation by direct supervisors. The results showed an improvement in the efficiency of the performance appraisal process, with data input time reduced from three days to one working day, and data completeness increasing from 72% to 96%. Staff understanding of the system also improved, as evidenced by 80% of staff being able to operate the application independently after mentoring. In conclusion, this community service activity had a positive impact on the speed and accuracy of the performance appraisal process. However, further training is needed to ensure all employees can formulate OKRs effectively according to SMART principles.

Abstract

This social project aims to help children at the Yarhima 2 Bondowoso Orphanage develop entrepreneurial skills through the social project of making bucket snack handicrafts. This activity is designed as a first step to provide them with practical skills that can support their future economic independence. The background of this project is based on the fact that labor conditions in Indonesia still face various challenges. Increasingly fierce job competition, a mismatch between the skills of job seekers and the needs of the labor market, and the limited availability of formal employment are the main factors that make it difficult for many individuals. Snack buckets have gained traction since early 2010, both as a unique gift and a promising business opportunity. Therefore, through the social project of making bucket snacks, it is hoped that the children of the Yarhima 2 Bondowoso Orphanage will gain the skills to make handicraft products in the form of bucket snacks and develop the motivation for them to be able to create business opportunities independently as an alternative solution to limited access to formal employment in the future.
