Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in natural resources, but its prosperous natural potential has never been able to lead its people to progress, supposedly becoming a civil society. The reality today is that Indonesia cannot even rise from the status quo which remains with the status of a developing country. It is not the fault of the earth on which we stand, but rather that the managers of the nation and its society are increasingly losing their identity as religious and moral human beings. Our increasingly distorted civilization has caused the erosion of the nation's noble character values. If we agree to improve the fate of the nation, of course we must start developing the mentality of the nation's children with character education. IAIN as an educational institution represents a "synthesis" of the two poles of general science and Islam, and actually has a strategic role in building national character. With scientific offerings that integrate general sciences and Islamic sciences, IAIN will be able to produce human resources who are both professional and moral.

Abstract

The massive social and humanitarian disasters and tragedies currently occurring in this country are a consequence of the failure of the social function of school institutions in educating the spiritual substance of humanity. So far, school has been run as a teaching vehicle that focuses more on and emphasizes the issues of mastering scientific information, the formation of skills, expertise and professionalism that are dry of human values. Meanwhile, the spiritual dimension of humans, which is more directed towards the formation of social awareness and sensitivity, is overlooked by school institutions, as something that is most essential in the educational process in schools. This can happen after educational stakeholders have both been absorbed by the spirit and life orientation of pragmatism-materialism. So that interpersonal relationships between school alumni and members of the wider community who live around them become counter-productive, oppressive, subjugating and even tend to prey on each other (vulture culture). So social disasters and tragedies spread in various variants. School institutions should be understood as social institutions, where all educational processes that take place within them must adhere firmly to basic human principles and values which are autonomous, relative, unique, dynamic and free/independent and responsible. The logical consequence is that students must be placed as subjects who have the right to freedom of self-actualization and choose their future correctly, intelligently, independently and responsibly. Teachers only function as motivators, facilitators and moderators who provide them with various information that can awaken the students' human souls. So that in the end, school alumni do not just have physical and physical abilities and skills for the five senses, but the human side in the context of understanding "plus senses" can grow, develop and be embedded in their human soul, something that encourages the birth of appropriate behavior. with true human identity. So that then every school alumni can become a social agent who reconciles and prospers life together, which is mutual in all aspects of humanity and life.

Abstract

Character building (character formation) is a basic goal in education. Character formation can be realized if the process of internalizing values is successful. Values that are lived and internalized in the soul will encourage the birth of new, innovative and dynamic creations. The essence of life is movement, the law of life is creation, so create a new, better world order of civilization. To build an advanced civilization, it is necessary to have a quality and forward-oriented education system. Education will be able to build an advanced mindset if the pattern of scientific development has an integralistic-encyclopedic pattern. The integralistic pattern necessitates continuous scientific dynamics in order to build an advanced civilization.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children under five due to chronic malnutrition, especially in the first 1,000 days of life. Stunting affects the growth and development of the brain. Stunted children also have a higher risk of suffering from chronic diseases in their adult years. In fact, stunting and malnutrition are estimated to contribute to a reduction of 2-3% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) each year. Based on the results of the 2021 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI) conducted by the Ministry of Health, the stunting prevalence rate in Indonesia in 2021 was 24.4%, or a decrease of 6.4% from 30.8% in 2018 and shows the prevalence of stunting under five in Indonesia still high above the limit set by WHO (20%). From the 2021 Indonesian Nutrition Status Study (SSGI) data, Aceh occupies the third highest position after East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and West Sulawesi in first and second positions. Gayo Lues Regency is the area with the highest stunting prevalence, 42.9 percent, followed by Subulussalam City with 41.8 percent. Meanwhile, Banda Aceh City (23.4%) and Sabang City (23.8%) were the areas with the lowest prevalence.
