Abstract

Mangrove crab (Syclla sp.) cultivation has problems such as large capital and operational costs for ponds, limited land for cultivation and weather changes that disrupt water quality. This study aims to develop mangrove crab cultivation using an apartment system on land that is not too large as a new innovation for the community. The research method used is a descriptive method. The results of this study explain the construction of crab apartments from the construction of foundations, installation of construction in the form of crab boxes, installation of recirculation media pipes, installation of filter media to full implementation. Crab cultivation with an apartment system can improve water quality to be better with the use of the Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) system, namely the repeated use of water with several stages of filtration to reduce ammonia, making crab cultivation with this apartment system one of the solutions to develop and increase production and progress in mangrove crab cultivation.

Abstract

In an increasingly competitive business landscape, financial performance serves as a key indicator of a company's success in managing its resources. This study evaluates the financial performance of PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (owner of the KFC Indonesia brand) using profitability ratios Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Return on Investment (ROI) over the period 2020–2024. The topic was chosen to assess post-pandemic resilience and highlight KFC's significance as a major player in Indonesia's food industry. A qualitative descriptive methodology was employed, analyzing secondary data sourced from official financial reports. The results indicate that 2022 was the weakest year: ROA stood at 2.03%, ROE at 7.30%, and ROI at 22.68%, largely due to the prolonged impacts of COVID-19. However, a steady recovery followed, with 2024 showing marked improvements: ROA rose to 22.62%, ROE surged to 624.94%, and ROI reached 271.86%, reflecting increased efficiency in asset, equity, and investment management. The study concludes that PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk has successfully navigated the challenges of the pandemic, achieving significant performance improvements that signal positive prospects and offer vital insights for stakeholder decision-making.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze factors influencing student preferences in choosing boarding houses in Grogol and Tomang Villages, Grogol Petamburan District, West Jakarta. This study uses a mixed methods approach , combining quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods to gain a comprehensive understanding of student behavior and preferences. Based on the results of the research conducted, it was found that in the selected sample it was known that student income (pocket money) had a significant negative effect on student preferences in determining boarding houses and stated that if income (pocket money) increased, the tendency for students to choose boarding houses in Tomang Village was higher when compared to Grogol Village. Boarding house rental prices had a significant positive effect on student preferences in choosing boarding houses and stated that if boarding house prices increased, the tendency for students to choose boarding houses in Grogol Village was higher when compared to Tomang Village. The facilities offered by boarding houses had a significant positive effect on student preferences in choosing boarding houses and stated that if the boarding house facilities offered were better, the tendency for students to choose boarding houses in Tomang Village was higher when compared to Grogol Village. There was no significant and negative influence between lifestyle variables and student preferences in choosing boarding houses and stated that the high or low level of lifestyle would not increase student preferences in choosing Tomang or Grogol boarding house areas as boarding houses.Meanwhile, based on the concept of price elasticity of demand, boarding houses can be categorized as an elastic good, meaning that demand for boarding houses is highly sensitive to price changes. Based on the income elasticity of demand, boarding houses are classified as a primary necessity for students. This indicates that despite changes in income, demand for boarding houses remains relatively stable because housing is a basic need during the study period. Meanwhile, based on cross-elasticity, there is a substitution relationship between middle- to upper-class boarding houses and middle- to lower-class boarding houses. This means that if the price of middle- to upper-class boarding houses increases, students will tend to switch to middle- to lower-class boarding houses as an alternative, and vice versa.

Abstract

The purpose of this scientific research is to examine how organizational behavior (including leadership, communication, and work culture) impacts employee loyalty at Wajir Seafood, Medan. This study employs a census approach as its quantitative research method, involving a sample of 50 employees. Data was gathered through questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression with SPSS Version 22. The findings reveal that organizational behavior significantly affects employee loyalty (β = 0. 351, p = 0. 001), showing a moderate correlation (R = 0. 437) and a contribution of 19. 1% (R² = 0. 191). These results align with the theories proposed by Robbins (2002) and Luthans (2011), highlighting the necessity of a supportive work environment. However, 80. 9% of other factors, such as compensation and training, have not been investigated in this model. The study concludes that enhancing organizational behavior could be a preliminary strategy for fostering employee loyalty, although it should be supplemented by additional interventions. Practical implications include enhancing internal communication, recognition systems, and training programs for better outcomes.

Abstract

In the current digital era , the development of information and communication technology has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including in the world of education. One of the important things in education is access to adequate information sources. Currently, the library system used at the STMIK Indonesia Banda Aceh campus still uses conventional methods with physical libraries , which can cause limited access, delays in obtaining information sources , and limitations in managing and maintaining book collections. STMIK Indonesia Banda Aceh has a library that still uses a manual recording system or bookkeeping in conducting transactions, which will certainly increase the difficulty in processing library data, not to mention errors in book borrowing and returning transactions, as well as other reporting errors . Based on the results of the library website system design at STMIK Indonesia Banda Aceh , the results show that the system can carry out the online loan registration process and fine notifications. The author hopes that in creating this library information system, it can help facilitate staff and all related parties in processing library data effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Writing skills are a fundamental competency in Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level, particularly in narrative paragraph writing. However, many students still face challenges in developing ideas, structuring storylines, and selecting appropriate vocabulary. This study aims to determine the influence of Acehnese culture-based visual media on students’ narrative writing skills. The research used a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design involving 26 fourth-grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 2 Kuala. A narrative writing test was administered before and after the intervention, and the data were analyzed using a Paired Sample t-Test. The results show a significant influence of Acehnese culture-based visual media on students’ writing performance. The mean posttest score exceeded the pretest score by 6.727 points. Statistical analysis confirmed this improvement with t = -8.360, df = 25, and Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05. These findings indicate that the use of such media helps students better organize storylines, generate ideas, and remain motivated in writing activities. In conclusion, Acehnese culture-based visual media has a positive influence on students’ narrative paragraph writing skills. Beyond language improvement, it also fosters appreciation of local culture, making the learning process more meaningful and contextually relevant.
