Abstract

The rapid expansion of the global halal market necessitates robust public policies to ensure ‎product integrity and consumer trust. This study examines halal certification and the ‎digitalization of the halal supply chain from a public policy perspective, employing a ‎conceptual framework grounded in Maqāṣid al Sharīʿah. Using a qualitative descriptive ‎approach with thematic content analysis, the research explores the integration of digital ‎technologies—such as blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI)—within the Sharia Value ‎Chain. The findings indicate that digitalization initiatives, particularly through systems such as ‎SIHALAL, significantly enhance transparency, operational efficiency, and the inclusivity of ‎micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by addressing technological disparities through ‎regulatory intervention. Furthermore, embedding Maqāṣid al Sharīʿah principles—specifically ‎ḥifẓ al dīn, ḥifẓ al nafs, and ḥifẓ al māl—into digital supply chain governance functions as a ‎strategic catalyst for sustainable economic growth and social welfare. The study concludes that ‎adaptive public policies emphasizing digital transformation and sharīʿah-by-design principles ‎are essential to mitigating information asymmetry and strengthening national economic ‎resilience.

Abstract

The quality of Indonesian education remains low in Asia, ranking below Vietnam and 12th out of 12 surveyed countries, while placing 37th out of 57 globally in competitiveness. To address this, strategic efforts through educational supervision are crucial. This descriptive qualitative study, conducted at the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indramayu Regency, aims to analyze academic supervision, managerial supervision, supporting and inhibiting factors, and quality improvement policies for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah supervisors using interviews, observations, documentation, and triangulation. The results indicate that academic supervision is executed through planning, implementation, and reporting stages, while managerial supervision encompasses managing the curriculum, teaching staff, student affairs, personnel, facilities, public relations, and finance. Supporting factors include the proactive roles of teachers, principals, and supervisors, whereas inhibiting factors involve limited supervisor numbers, resistance to paradigm shifts, inadequate facilities, low teacher competency, weak coordination, and suboptimal regulation dissemination. Furthermore, policies to enhance supervisor quality are implemented by strengthening professionalism, career development, and education quality. To overcome existing constraints, this study recommends the implementation of innovative learning, strengthening technological facilities, improving teacher qualifications, and optimizing budgets and scholarships in a targeted manner.

Abstract

This study examines early marriage as a social practice constructed and sustained through patriarchal systems of knowledge. It analyzes how religious discourse, cultural traditions, and power relations legitimize early marriage as a socially accepted norm while proposing a more egalitarian reconstruction of theological knowledge. This research employs a qualitative method using a descriptive-critical approach and Michel Foucault's discourse analysis to investigate how knowledge concerning women's bodies, sexuality, morality, and marriage is produced, disseminated, and regulated through families, religious authorities, cultural leaders, and social institutions. Data were collected through a literature review of scholarly publications, legal regulations, and documented social phenomena related to early marriage. The findings demonstrate that early marriage is not merely driven by economic hardship or limited educational opportunities but is deeply embedded in patriarchal knowledge systems that reinforce unequal gender relations. Dominant discourses concerning sexual morality, family honor, female virginity, and marriage as the primary solution to moral concerns create strong social pressure on young women to marry at an early age. These narratives position women as objects of social control while legitimizing gender inequality through religious and cultural interpretations. Therefore, preventing early marriage requires more than legal reform or economic intervention. It also demands the reconstruction of theological, educational, and cultural knowledge that challenges patriarchal assumptions and promotes gender justice. Such transformation should involve families, educational institutions, religious leaders, communities, and the state in fostering egalitarian values, strengthening child protection, expanding women's autonomy, protecting human dignity, for future generations.

Abstract

This study analyzes the concept of Scientia Sacra in Seyyed Hossein Nasr's thought as an epistemological framework for addressing the modern ecological crisis by revitalizing Sufi wisdom. It is based on the assumption that the global environmental crisis is fundamentally an epistemological and spiritual crisis caused by the desacralization of knowledge and nature within secular modernity. The study employs the concepts of Scientia Sacra, Islamic ecotheology, the desacralization of knowledge, and Sufi wisdom, including dhikr, muraqabah, khalwah, wahdat al-wujud, and zuhd, as foundations for ecological consciousness. Using a qualitative philosophical-critical library research approach, the analysis examines Nasr’s major works, particularly Knowledge and the Sacred, Man and Nature, and Religion and the Order of Nature, supported by international literature on ecotheology, environmental philosophy, and ecological Sufism. The findings show that Scientia Sacra provides an epistemological paradigm integrating scientific, spiritual, and ethical dimensions in understanding the relationship between humanity and nature. Sufi wisdom functions as a practical mechanism for transforming ecological consciousness and environmental ethics, while the ecological crisis is traced to a reductionist scientific paradigm separating knowledge from transcendental values. Nevertheless, integrating sacred epistemology with modern scientific methodology remains challenging due to issues of scientific objectivity, cultural plurality, and empirical operationalization. The study recommends spiritually grounded ecological education, stronger dialogue between scientific and religious communities, environmentally oriented public policies incorporating sacred values, and the revitalization of Sufi practices to foster sustainable ecological consciousness and advance Islamic ecotheology and environmental philosophy.

Abstract

This study examines the strategic role of Tanāzul Ḥaqq (voluntary relinquishment of rights) as a mechanism that enables Islamic banks to enhance competitiveness within the profit-sharing system. Islamic banks continue to face structural challenges due to competition with conventional institutions that offer fixed and predictable returns, particularly to corporate and institutional clients. This research aims to analyze the fiqh foundations, strategic benefits, and potential risks of Tanāzul Ḥaqq within the context of modern Islamic banking. This research employs a qualitative, library-based method, drawing on classical and contemporary fiqh literature, DSN-MUI fatwas, OJK regulations, Islamic banking reports, and relevant academic studies. A descriptive-analytical approach is applied to evaluate both the Sharīʿah basis and strategic implications of Tanāzul Ḥaqq. The study finds that Tanāzul Ḥaqq is permissible when the waived right has fully materialized, is voluntary, does not alter the essence of the contract, and avoids elements of gharar and riba-like manipulation. Strategically, Tanāzul Ḥaqq enhances product attractiveness, stabilizes bank income, increases operational flexibility, and strengthens customer loyalty. Nevertheless, it carries risks such as information asymmetry, bargaining power imbalance, and potential deviation from the principle of fairness. The effective application of Tanāzul Ḥaqq requires maximum transparency, strong risk governance, and proactive customer education to maintain Sharīʿah compliance and market competitiveness. Originality/Value: This study integrates fiqh analysis with strategic management perspectives, offering a comprehensive framework for implementing.

Abstract

Public transportation is a vital instrument for urban mobility and economic efficiency. In Palu, the government launched the Bus Trans Palu (BTP) service as mandated by Law No. 22 of 2009 to provide safe and inclusive transportation. From an Islamic Economic perspective, such provision serves as a form of government obligation to ensure the fulfillment of public needs (maslahah). This study aims to explore the socio-economic impacts of the Bus Trans Palu from the users' perspective, analyzed through the lens of Islamic Economics. This research utilizes a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 20 informants from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, including civil servants, students, and street vendors. The data were analyzed thematically and synthesized using Islamic economic principles, specifically Maslahah Mursalah (public interest) and Tawazun (balance). The results indicate that Bus Trans Palu provides significant social benefits by enhancing accessibility to education and work centers. It creates an egalitarian social space that fosters community interaction (ukhuwah). Economically, the service offers substantial cost efficiency, especially for low-income groups and students, allowing for household savings. Furthermore, the presence of bus stops has stimulated the real sector by creating opportunities for micro-entrepreneurs and informal traders. The implementation of Bus Trans Palu aligns with the concept of Maslahah Mursalah, as it reduces economic disparity through equitable access and supports sustainable urban living. This study recommends a single-fare integration system to further optimize economic justice for passengers requiring multiple transfers.

Abstract

The discussion of this title is motivated by the existence of problems, namely: First, based on the principle of certainty of tax law, that material tax law consisting of tax subjects, tax objects, tax rates and criminal sanctions must be regulated based on the Law, but the normative agreement is that tax objects in the form of mining products of the types of natural stones currently in effect are regulated in the form of Government Regulations. Second, based on the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 49 of 2022 Concerning Value Added Tax Exemption and Value Added Tax or Value Added Tax and Sales Tax on Luxury Goods Not Collected on Imports and/or Delivery of Certain Taxable Goods and/or Delivery of Certain Taxable Services and/or Utilization of Certain Taxable Services from Outside the Customs Area in Article 6 paragraph (1) mining or drilling products taken from their sources: asbestos, slate, semi-precious stones, limestone, pumice, gemstones, bentonite, dolomite, feldspar, rock salt (halite), graphite, granite/andesite, gypsum, calcite, kaolin, leucite, magnesite, mica, marble, nitrate, opsidiene, ochre, sand and gravel, quartz sand, perlite, phosphate, talc, fullers earth, diatomaceous earth, clay, alum, tras, jasper, zeolite, basalt, and trachyte. In practice, the Directorate General of Taxes imposes value added tax on mining goods in the form of natural stones from the creative industry. The results of the discussion conclude first, the legal position of imposing value added tax on mining goods in the form of types of natural stones regulated in the form of Government Regulations reviewed based on the principle of legal certainty is not appropriate, because it is contrary to the principle of legal certainty, not in accordance with the VAT Law and not in line with Article 23A of the third amendment to the 1945 Constitution. Second, the legal consequences of the imposition of value added tax by the Directorate General of Taxes on mining goods in the form of natural stones from the creative industry are invalid and cause losses for taxpayers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Indonesian language in shaping social behavior and constructing national civilization within both national and international contexts. The research focuses on understanding language as a symbolic system that constructs values, norms, and collective meanings in social life. Key concepts include language as cultural capital, social behavior as a product of symbolic interaction, and civilization as an institutionalized value system. The study employs a qualitative approach through content analysis of contemporary literature in sociology, anthropology, and sociolinguistics. The scope of analysis covers the functions of the Indonesian language in social, cultural, educational, and cultural diplomacy domains. The main findings reveal that the Indonesian language serves as an integrative mechanism that strengthens social cohesion, shapes collective ethics, and acts as an instrument of soft power in international relations. The primary challenges identified include the marginal position of Indonesian in global discourse and the erosion of symbolic meaning due to digital culture. The study recommends strengthening language policies based on cultural values and promoting Indonesian as a medium for knowledge production and cultural diplomacy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the intellectual development and conceptual structure of waste donation as a social innovation model grounded in environmental education within the circular economy framework. The key concepts include waste donation, ecological philanthropy, Prosocial Behavior Theory, circular economy, and social capital. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach based on PRISMA 2020 guidelines and bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer, this research examines 84 Scopus-indexed articles published between 2006 and 2026. The scope of analysis encompasses waste redistribution practices across environmental management, public health, and community governance domains. The findings reveal three dominant thematic clusters: environmental performance and waste reduction, social empowerment and community solidarity, and institutional governance. However, prosocial and religious dimensions remain underrepresented in mainstream sustainability discourse. Major challenges include theoretical fragmentation, limited longitudinal studies, and insufficient economic evaluation. The study recommends integrating Prosocial Behavior Theory into circular economy analysis to strengthen the moral and social foundations of sustainable waste governance. This research contributes to circular economy theory and environmental sociology by reconceptualizing waste donation as ecological philanthropy, bridging environmental sustainability with moral solidarity and social capital formation.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media based on the NAI (Narrative, Animation, Interactivity) framework, using Microsoft PowerPoint, that meet the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness to improve the writing skills of third-grade elementary school students in procedural texts. The background of this study is the low achievement in students' writing skills, with 65% not meeting the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). The study used the ADDIE development model and was conducted at SDN I Cibanteng, Tasikmalaya, with 29 third-grade students as subjects. The developed media integrates audio narration for verbal explanation, animation to visualize procedural steps, and interactive features such as self-navigation and quizzes with automatic feedback. The validation results showed a very high level of feasibility, with assessments from material experts at 92.5% and media experts at 90.0%, both in the very feasible category. Practicality responses also showed positive results, with teacher assessments at 88.5% (very practical) and student assessments at 86.2% (very good). The effectiveness test showed a significant increase in the average score from pretest (M=32.5) to posttest (M=42.7), based on a paired t-test (t=12.34; p<0.001) and an N-Gain value of 0.66 (medium–high category). The learning completion percentage increased from 27.6% in the pretest to 86.2% in the posttest. These findings indicate that the NAI framework effectively bridges the gap in procedural writing learning through affordable, easy-to-implement technology, while enriching the application of multimedia theory in Indonesian elementary education.
