Abstract

Education is a very well-planned way to produce a generation of young people who are intelligent, brave, and talented. However, in recent years, there have been many reports of brawls and violence committed by students in schools, indicating that humanitarian values are starting to fade. The fact that bullying often occurs in schools, which reduces students' desire to learn. According to Law No. 20 of 2003 on the National Education System, schools should create a safe learning environment and support the development of students' potential. However, the practices observed in schools actually create an unsafe atmosphere, causing students to lose interest and desire to learn. The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of bullying behavior on the learning motivation of elementary school students and to provide solutions to this problem. The method used in this research is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by analyzing 10 related journals published between 2015 and 2024. Data were collected through a search on Google Scholar using the keywords "the influence of bullying behavior" and "student learning motivation." The analysis includes the identification of variables, searching for relevant references, and comparing previous research results. The research results show that bullying has a significant impact on students' learning motivation. Students who are victims of bullying tend to experience anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem, which ultimately disrupt their concentration and academic performance. Several studies also found that interventions from teachers, parents, and strict school policies can reduce the negative effects of bullying. The conclusion of this research is that bullying is a serious problem that affects students' motivation and academic achievement. Therefore, a comprehensive approach involving all parties, including teachers, parents, and school policies, is necessary to create a safe and supportive learning environment. Effective prevention and intervention efforts are crucial to addressing the negative impacts of bullying in schools.

Abstract

History learning in elementary schools plays an important role in shaping students' understanding of past events and instilling national values. However, the conventional approach that is still widely applied often results in low student interest and participation in history learning. This article aims to analyze various interactive and creative methods in history learning in elementary schools through a literature review. Interactive methods, such as group discussions, role-playing, and the use of digital media, as well as creative methods, such as storytelling, concept maps, and exploration-based projects, have been shown to increase student engagement and deeper understanding of historical concepts. Various studies have shown that the application of these methods not only increases students' learning motivation but also develops critical, analytical, and collaborative thinking skills. In addition, the use of technology such as educational applications and historical simulations further enriches students' learning experiences, making them more contextual and relevant to everyday life. However, the application of this method still faces challenges, such as limited resources, teacher readiness, and support from the school environment. Therefore, an appropriate implementation strategy is needed, including teacher training and the provision of adequate learning facilities. This literature review is expected to provide insight for educators and researchers in developing more effective and interesting history learning methods for elementary school students.

Abstract

This research is a case study with the subject of research Mrs. Sarah Syafrayani, S.Pd As a homeroom teacher of class V at SDN Negeri 060816, Sukamai, Medan Area District, Medan City, a descriptive research type with a qualitative approach. In accordance with Mukhtar's statement (2013), this type of research describes the conditions that are in accordance with the objects observed and then the data obtained is written in the form of a report. The results of the interview showed that not all teachers have the same understanding of the Independent Curriculum. Some teachers understand the basic concepts of this curriculum, such as flexibility in compiling learning and an emphasis on project-based learning. However, some others are still confused about translating the principles of the Independent Curriculum into classroom learning practices. The main obstacle in understanding this curriculum is the lack of socialization and training provided to teachers. Many teachers feel that they have not received sufficient technical guidance regarding the preparation of teaching modules, learning objective flows (ATP), and assessment strategies that are in accordance with this curriculum. Some teachers also stated that the change from the previous curriculum to the Independent Curriculum happened too quickly, so they did not have enough time to adapt. This is in line with research by Indriastuti et al. (2017), which states that flexibility in learning can increase students' learning motivation and strengthen their involvement in the learning process. However, despite having a positive view of this curriculum, teachers still hope for further support from the government and schools in the form of training, provision of facilities and infrastructure, and technical guidance related to the implementation of this curriculum.

Abstract

Password security is a crucial aspect of digital authentication systems; however, many users still rely on weak and easily guessable passwords, increasing their vulnerability to cyber threats such as brute force and dictionary attacks. This study aims to evaluate password strength based on length and character complexity using a combinatorial theory approach. Through simulations, this research calculates the number of possible character combinations for various password lengths and character types, including lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Additionally, the study estimates the time required to crack different types of passwords using brute force techniques and compares the results with real-world password breach data. The simulation results reveal that passwords composed solely of lowercase letters and fewer than eight characters in length can be cracked within seconds. In contrast, passwords that include a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols with a minimum length of 12 characters would require more than one million years to be deciphered through brute force methods. These findings emphasize that increasing both the length and complexity of passwords significantly enhances security strength. Therefore, users are strongly encouraged to create passwords that are at least 12 characters long and include a diverse mix of character types. Furthermore, implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and using password managers are highly recommended strategies to improve account protection. By adopting these practices, the risk of data breaches due to compromised passwords can be substantially reduced, contributing to stronger and more resilient digital security environments.

Abstract

Problem-based learning (PBL) is a student-centered instructional strategy that begins with authentic problems as the starting point for learning. This approach encourages students to actively identify, analyze, and solve problems through a systematic and collaborative scientific thinking process. By integrating real-life situations relevant to students’ experiences, PBL not only enhances critical thinking skills but also develops problem-solving abilities, communication, and teamwork. The implementation of problem-based learning among secondary school students demonstrates a significant improvement in critical thinking compared to conventional, more passive teaching methods. Furthermore, this learning strategy fosters independent and creative learning attitudes and helps students connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications in their environment. Therefore, problem-based learning serves as an effective approach to prepare students for the complex and rapidly changing challenges of the 21st century.
