Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial stress on the consumption and savings behavior of college students during the economic crisis. The research method used a quantitative approach with a survey technique using a questionnaire to 200 college students as respondents. Data analysis was conducted through multiple linear regression tests to examine the relationship between variables. The results showed that financial stress had a positive and significant effect on college students' consumption behavior, while it had a negative and significant effect on savings behavior. These findings confirm that financial stress encourages increased consumption, both for primary needs and lifestyle, while simultaneously reducing students' ability to save. This study has important implications for college students, educational institutions, and policymakers regarding the need for financial literacy and personal financial management strategies amid the economic crisis.

Abstract

Organizational success has often been narrowly defined by financial targets and performance indicators, yet sustainable achievement requires a broader focus on organizational health. This study aims to explore how organizational health is conceptualized and practiced holistically within organizations, particularly across four dimensions: leadership, organizational culture, employee well-being, and psychological safety. Using a qualitative multiple case study design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis from selected organizations in Indonesia. Thematic analysis was applied to identify recurring patterns and generate cross-case themes. The findings reveal that leadership serves as the cornerstone of organizational health, with supportive and empathetic behaviors fostering trust, engagement, and motivation. Organizational culture provides the collective framework, where collaboration and inclusivity translate health-related values into daily practices. Employee well-being is widely recognized but often constrained by workload pressures and policy–practice gaps, while psychological safety emerges as the critical enabler that transforms engagement into innovation and sustainable productivity. The study concludes that organizational health is a multidimensional construct achieved when leadership, culture, well-being, and psychological safety are aligned and mutually reinforcing. This holistic integration allows organizations to move beyond targets toward resilience, adaptability, and long-term performance.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed the competitive dynamics of global business, compelling firms to strategically integrate innovation and digitalization to sustain long-term growth. This study aims to analyze the role of innovation and digitalization in enhancing corporate competitive advantage within the digital economy era. Employing a qualitative descriptive design through a systematic literature review (SLR), the research examined 25 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025 sourced from Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. Data were collected and filtered using PRISMA guidelines and analyzed thematically to identify recurring patterns and emerging insights. The findings indicate that innovation is a critical source of differentiation, enabling firms to create unique products, services, and business models, while digitalization strengthens efficiency, agility, and customer engagement. Moreover, the synergy between innovation and digitalization provides dynamic capabilities that allow firms to anticipate market changes and respond proactively. The discussion highlights that organizations integrating both elements outperform those adopting them separately, and that failing to embrace digital innovation increases the risk of market irrelevance. In conclusion, the study affirms that innovation and digitalization are complementary strategic levers that collectively sustain corporate competitiveness in the digital economy. This research contributes by bridging theoretical gaps and offering practical implications for firms across industries.

Abstract

Horticultural farming plays a vital role in rural livelihoods and agricultural diversification, yet many smallholders struggle with low financial literacy and limited access to affordable credit, which constrains profitability. This study investigates the correlation between financial literacy and microcredit access on the profitability of horticultural farming enterprises. Using a quantitative correlational design, primary data were collected from 200 horticultural farmers through structured questionnaires covering financial literacy indicators, microcredit access, and profitability measures such as net profit margin, return on investment, and gross margin. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression. The results show that financial literacy is strongly correlated with profitability (r = 0.63, p < 0.01), while microcredit access also exhibits a positive but weaker correlation (r = 0.42, p < 0.05). Regression analysis confirms both variables as significant predictors of profitability, with financial literacy (β = 0.46, p < 0.01) exerting greater influence compared to microcredit access (β = 0.28, p < 0.05). The model explains 51% of the variation in profitability, highlighting that credit provision alone is insufficient without adequate financial capability. This study concludes that financial literacy and microcredit access act as complementary enablers of farm profitability. Strengthening financial education alongside inclusive microcredit programs is therefore essential to enhance the sustainability and competitiveness of horticultural enterprises.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the determinants influencing the effectiveness of online training in increasing productivity and supporting the sustainability of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Southwest Papua Province. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a field study approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation with SMEs participating in online training, instructors, and local government officials. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, focusing on SMEs actively involved in online training programs. The results indicate that the success of online training is influenced by five main factors: access to technology and digital infrastructure, the quality and relevance of training materials, instructor competence, participant motivation, and support from the government and related institutions. Online training has been proven to increase SME productivity, particularly in production efficiency, digital marketing, and increased turnover. However, the impact is not evenly distributed due to limited infrastructure and digital literacy. Contributions to SME sustainability are more visible in the economic and social aspects, while environmental aspects remain less well-regarded. This study confirms that online training has significant potential to drive the digital transformation of SMEs in Southwest Papua, provided there are improvements in technological support, mentoring, and the integration of sustainable business concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of compensation and work environment on job satisfaction among private school teachers, with work motivation serving as a mediating variable. The research was conducted in the regions of Brebes, Tegal, and Tegal City using a quantitative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 186 respondents and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that both compensation and work environment have a positive and significant impact on work motivation and job satisfaction. Furthermore, work motivation significantly affects job satisfaction and mediates the relationship between hygiene factors and satisfaction. These findings reinforce the relevance of the Two-Factor Theory in explaining the dynamics of job satisfaction in the private education sector. The study implies the need for integrative managerial policies that combine structural support with psychological reinforcement to enhance the well-being and performance of private school teachers.

Abstract

The changing business landscape over the past two decades has been marked by the accelerated adoption of digital technology, increasing environmental awareness, and the demand for sustainable business models. In this context, companies are required to not only compete effectively but also transform towards a Green Industry by leveraging renewable energy and Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Traditional management strategies such as SWOT, TOWS, and QSPM remain relevant, but their effectiveness increases significantly when combined with modern approaches such as Blue Ocean Strategy and supported by the use of real-time data from the IoT. The study showed that IoT implementation can improve operational efficiency, reduce machine downtime, strengthen supply chain management, and optimize renewable energy utilization, resulting in reduced carbon emissions and energy cost savings of up to 20%. Quantitative findings demonstrate a significant contribution of the integration of management strategies, IoT, and renewable energy to company performance with an R² value of 0.67, while qualitative interviews confirmed IoT's role as a catalyst for digital-green transformation. However, challenges such as initial investment costs, data security risks, and limited technical skills remain inhibiting factors. This study concludes that the integration of IoT with renewable energy and management strategies is a strategic foundation for increasing competitiveness while strengthening the legitimacy of corporate sustainability in the green industry era.
