Abstract

This research examines the impact of learning technologies on the quality of education in schools, focusing on the potential and associated risks. In the digital era, the integration of technology in the teaching and learning process is becoming increasingly important. This research method uses a qualitative approach with literature study techniques to analyze and understand the impact of learning technology on the quality of education. Learning technology contributes significantly to improving the quality of education in schools, both in terms of accessibility and quality of learning processes. Technology allows students to access a wide range of information sources and learning materials and supports more flexible and interactive learning. With educational apps, learning videos and online platforms, students can study independently outside of school hours and adapt learning to their own style and pace. This helps to create a more personalized and adaptive learning experience, which results in increased student motivation and understanding of the material. However, the application of technology in education also brings a number of risks that need to be taken seriously. One of the main risks is that students' dependence on technological devices can reduce their ability to think critically and solve problems independently. This implies that schools and governments need to develop policies that support the effective application of technology, including teacher training in integrating technology with the curriculum, provision of adequate infrastructure, and efforts to ensure equal access for all students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze one of Deddy Corbuzier's podcast titles on YouTube using Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach. Analysis was carried out on three dimensions of CDA, namely text, discourse practice, and social practice. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with the CDA Fairclough approach. The CDA approach allows for in-depth analysis of how podcast titles reflect and shape ideology, power, and identity. The research results show that the podcast title contains complex discourse content and is related to relations of power and domination in society. The findings reveal that the title reflects societal discontent with governmental performance and advocates for new leadership capable of fostering positive change. Fairclough's CDA illuminates how the title constructs and reinforces power relations within Indonesian society, employing provocative language to incite debate and engage viewers emotionally. This analysis underscores the role of media in shaping   DOI: public discourse and influencing perceptions. By critically evaluating media content, this study contributes to understanding how language and discourse strategies can shape ideological perspectives and societal expectations. Ultimately, the podcast title serves not only as a critique of current governance but also as a catalyst for broader discussions on leadership and societal transformation in contemporary Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal's leadership strategy in improving teacher professionalism in SLB Negeri 1 Makassar City. Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, data were collected through interviews, observations and documentation from various related parties. The results showed that principals play an important role in improving teacher professionalism to support quality education for students with special needs. The leadership strategies implemented include specialized training, implementing effective teaching methods and developing an adaptive curriculum according to students' needs. Principals play the role of educator, leader, manager, motivator and supervisor, which is realized in efforts to improve teacher professionalism. Supporting factors include the high level of education of teaching staff (S1 to S3), dedication, discipline, and adequate facilities. The obstacle faced is the lack of competence of some teachers in IT knowledge. The implication is that school principals are expected to be more dedicated in creating a conducive educational environment, routinely monitoring and evaluating the learning process, and improving infrastructure. Teachers are expected to carry out their obligations as educators well, and continue to improve their professional, social, pedagogical and personality competencies to achieve educational goals

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of theological approach in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials in Indonesia. The application of theology in PAI curriculum still tends to be limited to normative and ritualistic aspects, while the philosophical and reflective aspects of Islamic teachings are often neglected. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study analyzed curriculum documents, syllabi, and PAI textbooks used at the junior high school (SMP) and senior high school (SMA) levels. The results showed that PAI materials focus more on teaching memorization and the performance of worship without exploring the deep meaning of Islamic theological concepts such as tawhid, treatise, shariat, morals, and fiqh. The study also identified challenges in implementing the theological approach, including teachers' lack of understanding of Islamic theology and time constraints in the curriculum. Based on these findings, the study recommends the development of a more integrated curriculum, more in-depth teacher training and the application of more interactive learning methods to enable students to understand Islamic teachings critically and applicatively. This research is expected to contribute to improving the quality of Islamic religious education that is more in-depth and relevant to the challenges of the times

Abstract

Multicultural education emphasizes respect for cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity, which becomes very relevant in Indonesia as a country with rich plurality. In this context, the application of multicultural education theory, especially in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), has a strategic role in creating a more inclusive and harmonious society. This article aims to examine the theory of multicultural education according to Martin J. Beck Matustik, which consists of three main pillars: (1) recognition of diversity, (2) dialogue between cultures and religions, and (3) social justice. These pillars are very relevant to be integrated in the PAI curriculum, so as to form a generation that is not only intelligent in religious aspects, but also open, tolerant, and respectful of differences. The methodology used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis, through a literature review that includes literature related to multicultural theory and its application in PAI. Data were also taken from PAI curriculum documents in Indonesia to explore the potential integration of multicultural values. The results showed that the application of multicultural education principles in PAI can encourage the creation of a more just and peaceful society, by producing individuals who are able to interact constructively and appreciate differences. Thus, Islamic religious education that promotes multicultural values is expected to be a solution to face the challenges of globalization and strengthen a more harmonious common life in Indonesia

Abstract

Language plays an important role in the formation of individual and group identities in educational settings. This research aims to understand how language influences student identity from cultural, social, academic and digital perspectives. Using a qualitative approach and case study design, data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation and document analysis. The research subjects included 30 informants from three schools with diverse cultural and social backgrounds. The results show that local languages strengthen students' cultural identity, despite being pressured by the dominance of national and foreign languages due to globalization. In the social context, language functions as a tool for status negotiation and group dynamics. Teaching foreign languages, such as English, increases students' global competence but risks reducing appreciation for local languages. In the digital age, language use on social media reflects students' creative identities but often clashes with formal language norms in schools. This research emphasizes the importance of a balanced language education policy to support global language acquisition while preserving local languages. With this approach, education can help students build an inclusive identity, integrate local values in a global context, and strengthen their cultural connections holistically.

Abstract

Learning in the modern era requires an adaptive approach to accommodate the diversity of students' learning styles to enhance the effectiveness of education. One innovative approach is multisensory learning, which combines visual, auditory, and kinesthetic sensory stimulation to aid students' understanding of concepts, particularly in abstract subjects such as science and mathematics. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method at a junior high school that has implemented this approach. The research subjects include 30 students, five teachers, and three education experts, selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the multisensory approach effectively addresses the diversity of students' learning styles, enhances concept comprehension, and fosters an inclusive learning environment. This approach also supports students with special needs, such as dyslexia and sensory processing disorders, and improves students’ long-term information retention. Teachers play a significant role in the successful implementation of this method through training and innovative strategies. Thus, the multisensory approach has a positive impact not only on material comprehension but also on students' enthusiasm for learning and positive peer communication. This study recommends the importance of support in teacher training and the provision of resources to optimize the application of multisensory learning
