Abstract

Increasing reading interest in adolescents aged 17-23 years is a significant challenge in improving literacy in society. This effort involves a literacy habituation strategy that focuses on developing consistent and engaging reading habits. The methods used include the introduction of popular books, book discussion programs, and the use of technology to facilitate access to digital literacy resources. The results of the study show that with the implementation of the right literacy habituation strategy, adolescents can increase their interest in reading and develop sustainable reading habits, while the methods used are literacy habituation and field research to gain a comprehensive understanding. The results of the study show that environmental, educational, and parental factors play an important role in shaping and increasing reading interest in adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the relationship between TQM and SBM for education needs in the 21st century. This research uses a literature study method by observing various documents from books and journals. The literature study focuses on researching literature related to total quality management, SBM, and students' character in the 21st century. Data collection is carried out by collecting literature data, reading, recording, and managing research results objectively, systematically, analytically, and critically by looking at the year of publication and the most up-to-date research. The results of this study show that TQM and SBM have an essential role in education in the 21st century. This is because TQM and MBS provide enthusiasm for education managers to continue to adapt, improve quality, and compile what the educational institution needs. TQM and MBS have a good relationship in the management of education in the 21st century.

Abstract

Aim. This research aims to address the issues faced by students who experience a decline in learning ability and motivation and the limited availability of easily accessible learning materials outside the classroom.  Methods. The research method used is research and development.  This research is based on a study of the need for teaching materials for students in the Indonesian language subject at the junior high school level in the Indramayu Regency.  Based on the background and objectives of the research, this study aims to provide an overview of the use of digital learning materials in students' creative writing process.  The research and development method used in this research is based on the ADDIE steps.  Result. The development design is grouped into five development procedures, which include the analysis stage, design stage, development stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage.  Data collection used interview and observation guidelines, questionnaires for subject matter experts, questionnaires for media and graphics experts, and student response questionnaires. Conclusion. The description of this research suggests that digital teaching materials can facilitate students' creative processes. Implementation. Students can also find alternative problem-solving methods and develop an openness to various experiences with a very high level of flexibility and tolerance towards uncertainty. Making students also have satisfaction with what they do and an attitude of appreciating the work of others.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the interest of students in grades 11 and 12 of SMAN 10 Bandung City in physics subjects. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire based on the Likert scale with a range of 1 to 10. The results of the study show that the majority of students have a fairly high interest. As many as 60 percent of students are on a scale of 7 to 10, which indicates a good interest in physics subjects. However, there were 12.5 percent of students had low interest, with scores on a scale of 1 to 4. In addition, about 17 percent of students are on a scale of 5 and 6, which shows a neutral attitude towards the subject. This result shows that there is great potential to improve the quality of physics learning. Groups of students with low interest need to get special attention through more interesting learning methods. Some strategies that can be carried out include the use of direct experiments, the application of physics concepts in daily life, and project-based activities. This effort is expected to be able to change students' views on physics to be more positive and relevant to their needs. This study concludes that applied physics learning has been effective for most students. However, a more innovative approach is still needed so that all students have a better interest in physics as an applicable and useful science.

Abstract

Education has an important role in improving students' understanding of scientific materials, especially physics. This study identifies the low knowledge of junior high school grade IX students regarding the concept of static electricity, and this research aims to improve the understanding of Darun Nasya junior high school students towards static electricity materials through the application of Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) learning model. The method used is an experiment with two groups: the experimental group using the IBL model and the control group using conventional learning methods. Data was collected through pre-test and post-test tests and by observing student activities. The results showed a significant improvement in the understanding of the concept of static electricity in the experimental group. The average post-test score of the experimental group increased from 50% to 80%, while the control group only experienced a marginal increase. This shows that the Inquiry-Based Learning model can improve students' understanding of static electricity materials. This study suggests applying the IBL model as a more effective learning alternative to understanding junior high school physics material.

Abstract

Background. This study investigates the usage patterns of iOS and Android operating systems among users in Jakarta. Aim. We aimed to analyze the roles of brand image and lifestyle as independent and mediating variables affecting users' repurchase intentions. Methods. Our SPSS analysis surveyed 205 respondents (146 Android and 59 iOS users). Result. That brand image does not significantly influence Android users' repurchase intentions, indicating that other factors may be more critical in their decision-making. Similarly, lifestyle had no significant effect on iOS users' repurchase intentions, suggesting that lifestyle choices may not drive brand loyalty in this demographic. Additionally, our mediation analysis showed that flagship products impact consumers differently based on their operating systems, highlighting the complexity of consumer behavior in the tech market. Conclusion. This study underscores the nuanced interactions between brand image, lifestyle, and user intentions across different platforms. Implication: These findings provide important insights into the Jakarta market. They also highlight the need for further research in diverse contexts to fully understand the dynamics of brand image and repurchase intention across different consumer segments and geographical areas.

What is the problem? And is there a significant positive impact of an educational process? Has our da'wah method been effective? Have we understood the meaning of the teachings of Islam itself? Have we known ourselves? Who are we? How do we treat the Qur'an? Can we take the messages from the letters contained in the Qur'an? And what is our mindset or mindset in religion itself? Conclusion. These questions are a reference for the author in this article. Implementation. Actualization of Islamic religious education in character formation must be done.

Abstract

Background. Average School Length (RLS) is an important indicator in measuring the level of educational participation in a region. Garut Regency still faces challenges in improving RLS, which is influenced by various economic, social, and educational policy factors. Aims. This study aims to identify the main factors that affect RLS and analyze the differences in RLS between regions in Garut Regency. Methods. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) method to group interrelated variables into main factors. In addition, the ANOVA test was carried out to identify RLS differences between regions, with further tests by Bonferroni and Games-Howell to see the groups of regions that had significant differences. Result. The results of the analysis show that there are three main factors that affect RLS, namely (1) Economics and Accessibility of Education, (2) Educational Environment and Policy, and (3) Social Dynamics and Learning Motivation. Economic factors and accessibility have a dominant role, especially related to family income, education costs, and the availability of school facilities and transportation. The results of the ANOVA test showed a significant difference in RLS between regions (p = 0.011), with the Cisurupan area having a higher RLS than Limbangan and Pakenjeng. Conclussion. The findings of this study confirm that improving educational infrastructure, region-based policies, and the role of families and communities are very important in increasing school participation rates. Implication. The implications of this study encourage the need for more adaptive policy interventions to the socio-economic characteristics of the region and the strengthening of student motivation programs.
