Abstract

Background. The implementation of the electronic court (e-Court) system within the Religious Court environment represents a form of digital transformation aimed at realizing a modern, fast, simple, and low-cost judiciary as mandated by the Supreme Court through PERMA No. 7 of 2022. In practice, however, implementing e-Court at the Cirebon City Religious Court still faces various obstacles, ranging from infrastructure readiness and staff digital competence to the technological literacy of justice seekers, resulting in a gap between normative objectives and implementation realities. Aims. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of e-Court implementation at the Cirebon City Religious Court as a form of modern judiciary, and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors involved. Methods. This study employs an empirical juridical method with a descriptive qualitative approach, using interviews with judges, court clerks, and e-Court users, direct observation during the Field Judicial Practice (PPL), and document study of relevant regulations. Result. The results show that e-Court implementation at the Cirebon City Religious Court has generally run effectively in accelerating case administration, although technical obstacles such as system disruptions and limited digital understanding among some justice seekers remain. Conclusion. The study concludes that the effectiveness of e-Court needs to be supported by increased socialization, technical assistance, and stronger digital infrastructure to optimally achieve the goal of a modern judiciary.

Abstract

Background. Divorce is one of the most often filed cases in the Religious Court, but not all divorce lawsuit cases end in a divorce decision, because the procedural law of the religious court provides space for the parties to reconcile and refer before the decision has permanent legal force, so that the case is revoked or canceled. This phenomenon was found during the implementation of the Field Experience Practice at the Cirebon City Religious Court, where a number of divorce lawsuit cases ended in cancellation due to referral, both at the mediation stage and during the case examination. Aims. This study aims to analyze the dominant factors that encourage married couples to make a referral so that the divorce lawsuit case is canceled, as well as analyze its juridical implications on the status and continuation of the case process. Methods. This study uses an empirical juridical method with a descriptive qualitative approach, through document studies of case archives, interviews with judges, mediators, clerks, and litigants, and direct observation at the Cirebon City Religious Court. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model of qualitative analysis. Result. The results of the study showed that the dominant factors causing referrals included consideration of children's interests, family intervention, economic factors, and legal and religious awareness to maintain the integrity of the household. Juridically, the referrals that occurred during the trial caused the loss of the plaintiff's legal interests, so the judge determined the revocation or cancellation of the case. Conclusion. This study concluded that strengthening the mediation function in the Religious Court is important as a preventive effort to encourage reconciliation between married couples before the case is decided.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology in education requires teachers to integrate technological tools into the learning process. One technology increasingly implemented in elementary schools is the Interactive Flat Panel (IFP). However, its utilization remains suboptimal due to teachers’ limited knowledge and skills in operating its features. This community service activity aimed to enhance teachers’ competencies in utilizing Interactive Flat Panels as interactive learning media. The program was conducted on May 21, 2026, at SDN Pamitran, Cirebon City, involving 13 teachers. The implementation employed a training and mentoring approach consisting of preparation, material presentation, demonstrations, hands-on practice, discussions, and evaluation. The training materials covered the introduction to IFP, digital whiteboard features, screen sharing, file management, and integration with digital learning applications. The results indicated improvements in teachers’ understanding and practical skills in operating Interactive Flat Panels. Participants were able to independently utilize various basic IFP features and demonstrated high enthusiasm throughout the training. The hands-on training approach proved effective in strengthening teachers’ technological competencies and supporting digital transformation in schools. This activity is expected to encourage the optimal use of educational technology to create innovative, interactive, and student-centered learning environments that meet the demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

Background. Used cooking oil is a common household waste product often discarded directly into rivers, waterways, or the soil without treatment, thereby polluting the environment. Furthermore, reusing such oil for cooking poses serious health risks. To address this issue, community-based training for housewives was held in Ligung Village, Majalengka Regency, on August 29, 2026. Methods. The training introduced practical methods for transforming used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles. The program comprised four stages: preparation, outreach, hands-on practical guidance, and evaluation using pre-tests and post-tests. Participants learned how to filter and purify the oil using bleaching earth before mixing it with paraffin. Result. The training deepened the participants' understanding and resulted in a tangible increase in knowledge. They also successfully produced marketable, pleasantly scented candles. Conclusion. In addition to helping reduce environmental pollution, this initiative gave local residents an opportunity to earn extra income through a low-cost activity that other community members can easily replicate.

Abstract

Background. This community service activity aimed to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the Kaizen concept through the 5S method in supporting the modernization of production processes and product standardization at the “Kusumarasa” Taro Chips Producer in Karangtejo Village, Kedu District, Temanggung Regency. The main problems faced by the partner included an unsystematic production area layout, the absence of written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), inconsistent workplace cleanliness, and varying product quality. Method. This activity used an educational outreach program consisting of presentations and question-and-answer sessions. The materials delivered covered the Kaizen concept, the 5S method, production process modernization, and product standardization. Results. The program's effectiveness was evaluated using Pre-Test, Post-Test, and N-Gain Score analyses involving 10 participants, including the business owner and production workers. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in participants’ understanding. The average Pre-Test score increased to 64.00 points in the Post-Test, with an average N-Gain score of 1.00 (high category). In addition to improving participants’ knowledge, the program produced several outputs, including simple production SOPs, educational posters on 5S implementation in the workplace, and a more organized, clean, and disciplined work culture aligned with Kaizen principles. Conclusion. Implementing the Kaizen concept through the 5S method successfully improved workplace organization, production area cleanliness, work discipline, and understanding of the importance of process standardization and product quality. Therefore, implementing the Kaizen Framework (5S) was effective for modernizing production processes and standardizing products in small-scale food processing enterprises, while also supporting increased competitiveness and business sustainability.
