Abstract

By having a positive character, a person will feel his presence in the family, work, and community environment. Students who are the next generation of the nation are formed through the learning process from their families and the surrounding environment, including schools and educators with all their facilities. As educators, teachers are individuals who are sued and imitated, and they play an essential role in building the positive character of students. Child-friendly schools are the government's efforts to support the overall development of children to facilitate the achievement of educational goals and emphasize the importance of a conducive and supportive learning environment to build students' character values so that they have a positive character because they have a positive character is an advantage that is reflected in good nature and attitude, the ability to interact well with anyone, having strong morals, empathy, honesty, kindness, discipline, optimism, resilience, and good self-control. In supporting the government's efforts to create child-friendly schools, the Medan Catholic Education Council-Keusukan Agung has equipped teachers at the kindergarten, elementary, and junior high school levels, participated in child-friendly school seminars, with the theme "building a generation with the positive character through teachers with character", so that teachers realize that they must have a positive character. They can build their students with positive character Because a person's character will be formed through the learning process throughout his life, including in the school environment.

Abstract

Until now, the prevalence of anemia in adolescent girls is still high; in 2024, Anemia in Indonesia will increase by 32% of adolescents aged 15-24 years in Indonesia experience anemia (Ministry of Health, 2024). The purpose of this socialization activity is to increase the knowledge of adolescent girls in preventing anemia. Prevention of anemia by administering blood-boosting tablets (Fe). The activity method consists of two, namely, planning and implementation. Planning includes coordination with the school and material preparation. The implementation is carried out face-to-face directly. The partners of this activity are young women at SMP Negeri 11 Ambon. This activity is carried out in education through various methods, namely lectures and the distribution of printed PowerPoint presentations (Handout). The activity will be held face-to-face on August 5, 2024. 14 young women attended. Education goes smoothly and can increase the knowledge of adolescent girls in preventing anemia. This activity received support from the Amahusu Health Center.

Abstract

Ki Hajar Dewantara argues that ethics education focuses on forming children's character, behavior, and personality through several good habits from early childhood to adulthood. This means that the moral education that Ki Hajar Dewantara refers to is not teaching theories about good and bad, along with their very complicated postulates. However, the habit of doing good that is practiced every day until the action becomes steady in the child's psyche so that the teaching of theory and postulates can be valuable as an affirmation and a means, not as an end. Community service activities are carried out at RA Persis Bandung City with the aim of gaining new knowledge or discoveries regarding the cultivation of ethical values. To develop knowledge from research findings regarding the cultivation of pre-existing ethical values. Abstract

Community service activities in Wanasaba Lor Village, Talun District, Cirebon Regency, aim to develop the social and cognitive sensitivity of lecturers and students and support the acceleration of development. This village is located in the lowlands with a dense population. This community service activity involves dividing the areas of two hamlets, namely Hamlet 1 and Hamlet 2, with a total of 20 RTs and 5 RWs. This village is located approximately 3.2 km from the sub-district and 2.4 km from the Cirebon district government center. Administratively, Wanasaba Lor Village is included in the semi-urban village category. Community service organizers chose Wanasaba Lor Village as the practice site, and a site inspection and communication with the village head was carried out to ensure agreement and support in realizing the development and welfare of the local community.

Abstract

Integrated Tahfidz Qur'an Islamic Boarding School (ITQ IBS) Alhikmah Cirebon is one of the participants in the activity School Lunch Program (SLP) organized by the Nutrition Department of the Bogor Agricultural Institute in collaboration with PT Ajinomoto in October 2022 - March 2023. ITQ IBS Alhikmah Cirebon prepares 3,000 portions of food every day for breakfast, lunch, and evening for all students and employees. However, it does not yet have food service standards including menu standards, portion standards, recipe standards, seasoning standards, food ingredient quality standards, and well-documented cooking quality standards. Activities are carried out in three stages: 1). The preparation stage is the preparation of standard food management instruments, 2). The implementation stage is a workshop on preparing food service standards and assistance in preparing food service standards, and 3). The Evaluation stage. The results of the evaluation of the workshop activities revealed that there was an increase in the level of participants' understanding of food management standards by 10 points from 53.75 (pre-test) to 63.75 (post-test), and a book on food management standards was prepared.

Abstract

Nutrition education activities are one of the 4 components of the Nutrition Goes to School (NGTS) Program. Nutrition education activities for students have been carried out at "Healthy Food Healthy Student" at MI Daarul Hikam, Cirebon City. This educational activity, which has the theme of Safe, Healthy, and Nutritious Food Education, explains the contents of my plate and food safety by presenting the material in an interesting and visually appealing way. The resource person who is in charge of this activity uses posters and leaflets as sources to explain the contents of my plate. In addition, in this activity, students are encouraged to collaborate and discuss their understanding of the material provided. Students are also given questions and rewards for those who can answer so as to increase their interest in nutrition education activities. The results of this community service activity showed that there was an increase in knowledge in each participant at MI Darul Hikam, Cirebon City, where there was a significant difference between the average pretest and posttest that was done.

Abstract

Fires can occur unexpectedly, even if you have been careful to use appliances that produce fires in the house, some of the sources of fire are electrical short circuits, gas stoves, burning garbage, cigarette butts and candles when the lights go out. The purpose of the training in community service is to provide knowledge about the causes of fires and their preventive measures. Participants involved in the training included students of the Public Health Department of STIKes Maluku Husada, Instructors from the Ambon City Fire Service Tribe and residents of Batu Merah Village, Sirimau District, Ambon City. Training techniques with material presentation, practice and review of results. The implementation method is by identifying problems that occur in objects, determining the priority scale of improvement and providing problem solving and feedback in the form of result evaluation. The implementation of training can provide knowledge about the factors that cause fires at home, so that it can encourage public awareness of the importance of preventive measures to avoid fires. The conclusion of the training in community service is that it can provide knowledge about the factors that cause fires and know preventive measures to minimize the occurrence of fires and can encourage concern in fire prevention in the community.

Abstract

Abstract. Early marriage is one of the social phenomena where marriage occurs due to unwanted pregnancy, due to promiscuous sexual behavior. The impact of early marriage is that adolescents who experience drowning syndrome during pregnancy so that their children have low birth weight (BBLR) and also miscarriages. The purpose of this community service is to provide counseling in the form of a talk show about the prevention of early marriage through the consumption of healthy food based on ancient agriculture and to find out the response of residents to the talk show activities carried out. The method used by the author in this study is using the following methods: (a) a survey of residents who have been married early, (b) sharing and discussing talk show materials with ancient agricultural experts and (c) interviews with residents regarding the response in these activities. The results of this counseling activity provide education that is quite effective to increase the knowledge of adolescents, regarding the prevention of early marriage which is carried out by consuming healthy food by participating in ancient agricultural activities. The social impact of residents gives a positive response to the talk show activities, the environmental impact felt is the enthusiasm of residents to participate in the implementation of ancient agriculture, and the economic impact is that through the ancient agriculture program, residents are not only equipped with knowledge but can create businesses by producing several products with economic value.

Abstract

Background. The development of information technology has been very rapid lately. Aims. Artificial intelligence has replaced the function of the human brain in collecting and processing data. This is very useful in making it easier for students to compile scientific papers and complete the final project through reports and theses. Counseling has been carried out for students to understand the important role and obstacles that must be watched out for in using AI technology. Method. The method used is a PowerPoint presentation, which is done by the student group and accompanied by a lecturer as a resource person. Result. The material presented covered the potential and challenges of using Generative AI (GenAI) in learning in higher education, as well as providing practical and ethical guidance to utilize this technology responsibly. The AI competency framework for students consists of 3 levels. First, I need to understand AI technology; second, I need to use AI responsibly; and third, I need to evaluate AI results critically. Examples of Gen Ai applications: ChatGPT helps create task drafts and provide ideas; Grammarly checks grammar and writing style; DALL-E creates a design or presentation fiscal illustration. The conclusion and hope that can be put forward in this activity is that GenAI is a tool that can enrich the learning process, but it is important to use it ethically and responsibly. With a good understanding, GenAI can be a partner in creating innovative and effective learning. Consclusion. Because ChatGPT offers benefits in accessibility, speed, and originality, it has unquestionably changed the way students approach academic assignments. However, when misused, it can compromise critical thinking and academic integrity.

Abstract

Background. Adolescents are very vulnerable to various environmental influences, including adolescent associations that can cause delinquency. Factors that drive the rise of deviant behavior include a lack of knowledge about physical and mental health and a lack of social supervision. Aim. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide counseling about the negative impact of juvenile delinquency on physical and mental health. The venue for community service activities with the theme of health counseling and juvenile delinquency at Madrasah Dusun Salam, on February 12, 2024, from 15.00 to 17.00. Methods. The methods used are lectures, interactive discussions, and simulations. Result. This activity showed that participants better understood the importance of maintaining health and the adverse effects of juvenile delinquency. This activity is expected to form positive character of adolescents in the long term. This counseling activity was evaluated with a pre-test score of 50% to a post-test of 80%; there was an increase of around 30%; this shows an increase in adolescent awareness about the impact of juvenile delinquency and health. The active participation of the participants showed that the counseling was going well. Implication. To improve the health of adolescents and prevent deviant behavior, it is hoped that similar activities can be carried out regularly by establishing a youth posyandu.
