Abstract

This research aims to identify the causes of low mastery of the basics of accounting among Politeknik Negeri Medan Diploma 3 Accounting students. The method used is study documentation, utilizing secondary data sources such as student academic reports and teaching notes. The research results show that this low mastery is caused by students' limited analytical abilities, lack of learning support, and teaching methods that are less adaptive to students' needs. The recommendation given is to improve the quality of learning through curriculum revision and development of learning support programs for students.

Abstract

The transformation of media and communication in the digital era has reshaped how people interact, share information, and build social relationships. The digitalization of communication not only introduces new platforms such as social media and the internet of things (IoT) but also impacts communication culture and social relationship patterns within society. This study aims to examine the dynamics of communication theory in the context of digitalization, understand how these concepts adapt, and explain their impact on social and cultural life. The research method used is a literature review, analyzing internationally indexed journals, along with relevant national journals. The findings indicate that digitalization encourages faster interactions and wider access to information but also presents challenges, such as discrepancies between online and real identities and the erosion of local cultural values. In conclusion, a critical understanding of the dynamics of communication theory in the digital era is essential to harness this transformation positively without overlooking existing social and cultural values.

Abstract

The presidential debate is a crucial moment in political communication, allowing candidates to present their visions and missions to the public. This study aims to analyze the questions posed by Anies Baswedan, Prabowo Subianto, and Ganjar Pranowo during the 2024 presidential debate broadcast on YouTube KOMPAS TV, focusing on the main themes, communication styles, and rhetorical strategies employed. The method used is qualitative content analysis, where debate excerpts are analyzed based on the themes raised and the communication strategies applied by each candidate. The findings show that each candidate used a different approach in asking questions: Anies Baswedan focused on ethical issues, Prabowo Subianto addressed public policy related to unemployment, and Ganjar Pranowo raised social issues and development policies related to the relocation of the capital city. The communication styles used by each candidate varied from critical, collaborative, to urgent, reflecting their political character. This study concludes that these questions play a significant role in shaping the candidates' image and influencing public perception, especially in the context of increasingly digital political communication.

Abstract

National character is very necessary for the organization of the state and national development. Character education is an important part of state and government policies. The issuance of several state, government and local government regulations regarding character education is a form of public policy, which must be comprehensively evaluated. The study aims to evaluate the substance and implementation of character education policies in the form of the Bandung Masagi Program at SMP Negeri 36, Bandung City. The study uses a qualitative approach with normative legal methods and case study evaluation. State policies in the form of Law Number 20 of 2003 and Law Number 17 of 2007, Presidential Regulation Number 87 of 2017, Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 23 of 2015, Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 20 of 2018, Bandung City Regulation Number 2 of 2018, and Bandung Mayor Regulation Number 004 of 2019 show serious attention to national character, including the character of students. In general, the hierarchical structural relationship between one regulation set at the government level and the government level below it. Schools run the Bandung Masagi program according to their capabilities and resources. Teachers and education personnel carry out their duties with demands to continue to improve innovation and creativity. There are several policy substances that need to be refined.

Abstract

The development of tourist villages is one of the strategic efforts to maximize local potential while improving community welfare. Tourist villages not only focus on the exploration of natural and cultural resources but also involve local communities as the main subjects in management. Tanjungsari Village, Sadananya District, Ciamis Regency, has natural tourism potential that can be developed into a tourist village, one of which is Curug Panganten which is a water tourism. However, it has not run optimally, several problems have hampered its development, such as the lack of competent tourist village managers and the absence of village regulations (Perdes) as a legal basis for tourism management. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The data obtained were analyzed to understand the characteristics and obstacles faced in the development of tourist villages. The results of the study show that the potential for Curug Panganten tourism in Tanjungsari Village has not been managed optimally due to the lack of human resources trained in tourism management and the absence of regulations that systematically regulate tourism management and development. In addition, community involvement and support from the local government still need to be improved to create a sustainable tourist village. The hope for the future is that the formation of Perdes can be the first step in realizing a more structured tourism management, followed by training for tourism managers to increase capacity and professionalism. With clear regulations and good management, Tanjungsari Village is expected to develop into a competitive tourist destination and provide economic and social benefits for the local community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) in underdeveloped regions, with a case study conducted in Merauke Regency, South Papua Province. The main focus is to examine to what extent the policy reflects the principles of social justice, particularly for vulnerable groups such as students from low-income families, indigenous communities, and those living in remote areas. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the MBG program has positively contributed to student attendance, improved nutritional intake, and alleviated household economic burdens. However, disparities in access, logistical challenges, and resource limitations remain significant obstacles. From  social justice, the program has yet to fully meet the difference principle, as students in the most disadvantaged areas face the greatest barriers to access. Likewise, through the lens of capability approach, institutional limitations and a lack of community engagement hinder the program’s effective utilization. The study concludes that while MBG is a progressive public policy initiative, improvements are needed in implementation design, inter-agency coordination, and local-based approaches. Recommendations include strengthening logistics, promoting local food diversification, and establishing participatory evaluation mechanisms to ensure the program’s sustainability and equity.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited knowledge of human resources in operating Warehouse Management System (WMS). The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of WMS training materials, methods, and trainers on production smoothness at PT. McDermott Batam and to analyze the influence of training duration on production smoothness. This study uses a quantitative method with a simple linear regression analysis approach. The population of the study were employees of PT. McDermott Batam, with a sample of 67 respondents selected using the Simple Random Sampling (SRS) technique and calculated using the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 10%. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and literature studies, then analyzed using SPSS software version 30. The results showed that WMS training had a positive and significant effect on production smoothness with a significance value of 0.001 <0.05 and tcount 8.565> ttable 1.997. In addition, WMS training contributed 53% to production smoothness. Thus, increasing the effectiveness of WMS training can be an important strategy in improving production smoothness at PT. McDermott Batam.

Abstract

Selamanik Village, Cipaku District, Ciamis Regency, has developed various tourist village programs to increase its attractiveness as a leading destination. This research aims to analyze local wisdom-based destination branding strategies implemented through tourism programs in this village. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation studies. The research results show that tourism programs such as Live-In Selamanik, Kampung Jaya Wijaya Innovation, and the potential development of sunflowers currently underway are expected to be the main elements in building the image of the village as a tourism destination based on education, culture and Agrotourism in accordance with local wisdom demonstrated. The branding strategy implemented includes the use of social media, strengthening local identity through tourism icons, and active community involvement in tourism management. Meanwhile, the competitiveness of tourist villages is increased through diversifying outdoor activities, improving facilities, and developing tourism experiences based on community participation. This research concludes that the success of the Selamanik Tourism Village branding strategy is very dependent on the synergy between the village government, community and tourists. The recommendations given include increasing digital promotions, strengthening collaboration with tourism stakeholders, as well as sustainable innovation in local wisdom-based tourism programs.

Abstract

Population administration services in each sub-district are a form of public service carried out by the Government in terms of serving the population administration needs of the local community. The problem in this study is to find the effect of service quality and employee professionalism on the satisfaction of the community using e-KTP services in Tunjungan sub-district, Blora Regency, while the objectives to be achieved are to find out and analyze the effect of service quality and employee professionalism on the satisfaction of the community using e-KTP services in Tunjungan sub-district, Blora Regency, then the population in this study was the community of Tunjungan sub-district as many as 45 people who were selected using accidental sampling techniques (based on coincidence) which were considered appropriate for the type of research while the sample was selected by purposive sampling (based on special characteristics) of the community who came to the Tunjungan sub-district office and had applied for e-KTP services. The results of the analysis concluded that there is a significant influence between Service Quality and Employee Professionalism on the satisfaction of the community of Users of e-KTP Making Services in Tunjungan District, Blora Regency, this is based on the results of the Determination Coefficient analysis where the calculation results were 63.5%, this is based on the existing interval, namely at the interval 60.00 -79.99% influential, while 36.5% of the satisfaction of the Community of Users of e-KTP Making Services is influenced by other factors such as Sub-district Leadership, Organizational Culture, Work Environment, Work Facilities, etc.

Abstract

The research aims to, Analyze whether the variable partial effect of service quality on customer satisfaction on Islamic Banking at KB Bank Syariah, Determine and analyze whether the variable service quality simultaneously influence on customer satisfaction on islamic Banking at KB Bank Syariah, Knowing which variables amorrg the service variable most dominant influence on customer satisfaction on Islamic Banking at KB Bank Syariah. Analysis of the data in this study using multiple linear regression test and subsequently used the F-test, T and dominant to see the effect of each. The research results indicate that the value of F-test (3,722) > F table (2,437) this indicates that variable Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy simultaneously (together) effect on customer satisfaction. While the partial test for Tagibles variable (X1) where t test (1,232)> t table (2,577) this indicated that Tangibles no effect on customer satisfaction. For Reliability (X2), t test (3,428) > t table (2,571), that affect the reliability of customer satisfaction. For variable Responsiveness (X3), t test (-0.390) > t table (2,571) Responsiveness no effect on customer satisfaction. To Guarantee (X4), t test (0,549) > t table (2,571), variable warranty does not affect the customer satisfaction. For variable Empathy (X5) regression coefficient of -0,103, the t test (- 0,664 > t table (2,571) and a variable Empathy has no effect on customer satisfaction While the dominant variable in the quality of services that affect customer satisfaction on Islamic banking at KB Bank Syariah is variable Assurance (x4) with a contribution of 51%.
