Abstract

The development of digital technology has significantly increased students' access to information, but this condition has also given rise to the phenomenon of information overload, which impacts the learning process. This study aims to analyze the disruption of students' knowledge construction due to exposure to digital information from a constructivist perspective. The method used is a secondary data-based case study by reviewing various scientific journals and recent educational reports. The analysis shows that massive and unstructured information reception leads to students' understanding being partial and unintegrated. The constructivist process is disrupted, particularly in the mechanisms of assimilation and accommodation, as well as in the reduction of social interaction that plays a role in scaffolding. High cognitive load also hinders in-depth information processing, resulting in superficial understanding. The constructivist approach, through problem-based learning, inquiry, reflection, and collaboration, can improve students' knowledge construction process. These findings indicate that learning needs to be directed toward active and structured cognitive activities in order to optimally enhance the quality of students' understanding.

Abstract

This study analyzes idiom translation strategies and meaning equivalence in Chapter One of the novel Maryam by Okky Madasari and its English translation, The Outcast. The objectives of this study are to identify the types of idioms used, the translation strategies applied, and to assess the meaning equivalence between the source text and the target text. The method employed is descriptive qualitative with text analysis techniques. Data were collected by identifying idioms in the source text and its translation, then analyzed using Peter Newmark’s theory of idiom translation strategies and Eugene Nida’s theory of meaning equivalence. The findings show that three types of idioms were found: full idioms, partial idioms, and contextual figurative expressions. The most frequently used translation strategy was paraphrase, followed by direct idiomatic equivalence, adaptation, and omission. The paraphrase strategy was chosen because many idioms in Indonesian do not have direct equivalents in English. In terms of meaning equivalence, most idioms achieved dynamic equivalence, where the meaning and emotional effect were preserved even though the form of the idiom changed. However, some idioms experienced meaning shifts due to cultural differences between the source and target languages. This study concludes that translating idioms in literary works requires a balance between fidelity to the source text and readability in the target text. An understanding of cultural context is essential to maintaining naturalness and accuracy of meaning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan bahan ajar musim dan iklim di Indonesia berbasis pembelajaran mendalam (Deep Learning) untuk siswa kelas IV MIS NU Kota Palangka Raya. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Data diperoleh melalui validasi ahli, penilaian guru, respons siswa, serta tes hasil belajar yang melibatkan 26 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memperoleh kategori sangat layak dengan persentase validasi ahli materi sebesar 91,70%, ahli desain 93,50%, penilaian guru 82,40%, dan uji coba lapangan 90,30%. Selain itu, hasil uji paired t-test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest (p < 0,001), yang menandakan bahwa penggunaan bahan ajar memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Meskipun demikian, rata-rata skor N-Gain sebesar 0,36 (36,31%) menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas peningkatan hasil belajar masih belum optimal. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran dan berpotensi mendukung pengalaman belajar yang lebih bermakna serta kontekstual bagi siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Prinsip amanah merupakan dasar penting dalam fiqh siyasah yang mengatur tanggung jawab pemimpin dan pejabat publik dalam menjalankan kekuasaan. Di Indonesia yang mayoritas penduduknya Muslim, prinsip ini relevan dalam tata kelola pemerintahan dan kinerja pejabat publik, terutama terkait akuntabilitas, transparansi, keadilan, dan musyawarah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dari berbagai literatur fiqh siyasah, regulasi pemerintah, dan kajian akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prinsip amanah sejalan dengan konsep good governance modern, seperti akuntabilitas, transparansi, dan partisipasi publik. Namun, penerapannya masih menghadapi kendala seperti korupsi, lemahnya pengawasan, dan kesenjangan digital. Karena itu, penerapan nilai amanah secara sistematis dinilai penting untuk mewujudkan pemerintahan yang adil dan bermartabat.

Abstract

This article discusses behavioristic learning theory that can be implemented to address two common problems in Indonesian schools, namely low student motivation to participate in the learning process and undisciplined behavior in the classroom. Based on educational reports and several studies, many students appear less enthusiastic in learning, rarely actively engage during lessons, and often violate rules, such as arriving late, leaving the classroom without permission, or failing to follow regulations. In behavioristic theory, the learning process is defined as a directly observable change in behavior. This change occurs due to the relationship between stimulus and response, and through consistent reinforcement and punishment. This article also demonstrates several ways teachers can implement the theory, such as providing clear rewards and consequences, shaping good behavior through repeated practice, and using techniques like token economy (point or reward systems) and shaping (gradually forming behavior). If implemented properly, this approach can increase students' extrinsic motivation, encourage them to be more active in class, and improve discipline. Over time, these positive behaviors can develop into habits.

Abstract

The main problem in the learning process is the inability of students to understand what is being taught, due to a lack of adequate conceptual skills, poor critical thinking abilities, and an insufficient correlation between the concepts taught and real-world situations. The above indicates that there is still room for improvement in the current process, given that most activities are focused on the teacher as the source of information. This paper offers an extensive analysis of the underlying causes behind the learning challenges faced by students as well as potential solutions based on the principles of constructivist learning theory. The method used in this research is secondary data analysis through a literature review. The theory underlying this work is called constructivism, which views learning as a highly participatory experience in which learners create their own knowledge by connecting it to prior experiences. It turns out that the above learning obstacles arise from inadequate student participation, poor social interaction among peers, and the poor application of learning approaches. Several empirical studies show that the above learning problems can be overcome through the application of constructivism.

Abstract

When B.F. Skinner successfully demonstrated that human behavior is entirely determined by its consequences, the world of education should have received a strong scientific signal to make fundamental changes. Unfortunately, more than 70 years since the theory of operant conditioning was formally formulated, classrooms around the world, including in Indonesia, still rely on outdated disciplinary approaches that emphasize fear rather than genuine character development. This is the most striking discrepancy in modern education: we possess the knowledge, but rarely apply it. This research emerges as a step toward a paradigm shift in viewing school discipline, using Burrhus Frederic Skinner's theory of operant conditioning as its primary foundation. Through mechanisms such as positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, punishment, and extinction, this theory provides practical scientific guidance for teachers to purposefully shape, strengthen, and modify student behavior. This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of how these principles can be applied contextually and responsibly in daily teaching and learning routines, in order to create an adaptive learning culture—that is, an environment where students are not merely robotically obedient, but fully engaged, responsible, and intrinsically motivated.

Abstract

Desain pembelajaran merupakan komponen krusial dalam menentukan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar, namun banyak pendidik masih merancang pembelajaran secara intuitif tanpa mengacu pada model yang jelas. Artikel ini bertujuan menelaah konsep, karakteristik, dan jenis model desain pembelajaran, serta menganalisis secara kritis empat model utama dalam kaitannya dengan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di madrasah. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif-analitis terhadap sumber primer berupa artikel jurnal dan buku terkait desain pembelajaran. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa model (ADDIE, Dick and Carey, Kemp, dan ASSURE) dan teknik desain pembelajaran merupakan dua entitas yang saling melengkapi: model berperan sebagai kerangka konseptual sistematis, sedangkan teknik merupakan langkah operasional yang dapat diterapkan lintas-model. Model desain pembelajaran yang efektif memiliki karakteristik sistematis, berorientasi proses, fleksibel, berbasis evaluasi, integratif, kontekstual, dan empiris. Analisis perbandingan menunjukkan bahwa setiap model memiliki titik tekan, kelebihan, dan keterbatasan yang berbeda, sehingga pemilihannya untuk PAI di madrasah perlu mempertimbangkan tujuan pembelajaran, skala perencanaan, tingkat kompleksitas, dan ketersediaan sarana.

Abstract

This study conducts a conceptual reconstruction of three Islamic spiritual values—namely, zuhud, sabar, and ikhlas with the aim of fostering Islamic character among the younger generation. The method employed is a critical literature review with an analytical hermeneutic synthesis of scholarly works published over the past five years. The analysis highlights interpretive disagreements among experts regarding the ontological and practical dimensions of these values, and identifies research gaps that have not been extensively explored, particularly regarding the integration of spiritual values into character education curricula. The results of the synthesis indicate that while there is consensus on the importance of these three values, significant differences emerge regarding the interpretation of zahir batin (zuhud), the psychological mechanisms of patience, and the context of sincerity in social practice. This study offers an original contribution in the form of a conceptual map that can serve as a foundation for the development of a character education model based on modern Sufism.

Abstract

In the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, teaching materials need to be adapted to technological developments so that students can be interested. The type of teaching material that can attract students' interest is teaching materials in the form of interactive media. This study aims to develop digital teaching materials in the form of interactive learning media that can be used by students in grade III in science learning. This study follows the ADDIE model with five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. The results of the questionnaire from material experts, design and field trials showed that this interactive learning media was very appropriate, with a percentage score reaching 92,71% including the "Very Appropriate" Qualification according to design experts 99,07%, teacher assessment of 98,53%, field trial results 86,34%, T-Test Results 0.00 that the teaching materials were very significant in improving learning outcomes, and N-gain Analysis of 0,78 with high criteria. While the effectiveness of the teaching materials was 78.13 with the category of effective use in learning. The conclusion of the research on the development of teaching materials can improve student learning outcomes.
