Abstract

Every individual requires recreation/entertainment as a secondary need that must be fulfilled. Adequate access is a primary factor in creating comfort and increasing public interest in visiting recreation centers. However, inadequate access poses a barrier for persons with physical disabilities in fulfilling this need. The participants in this study consisted of eight individuals with physical disabilities, specifically meeting the criteria of being wheelchair or crutch users in Kupang City. The purpose of this research is to address the various barriers experienced by persons with disabilities in accessing facilities at recreation sites. The data collection process in this study was conducted through in-depth interviews with the participants. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive and critical approach. The results indicate seven themes that explain how accessibility in recreation centers is not yet available, making individuals with physical disabilities feel neglected and marginalized. This, of course, affects the comfort and safety of the participants' experiences during their visits.

Abstract

A marriage contract is a legal instrument that formalizes an agreement between husband and wife regarding certain aspects of married life, particularly those related to property, rights, and obligations. Within the framework of Islamic law, this concept receives significant attention from the perspective of qawāʿid fiqhiyyah, as both serve as methodological foundations for interpreting and applying Sharia law in accordance with maqāṣid al-sharīʿah. This article aims to analyze the concept of prenuptial agreements using an applied approach through qawāʿid fiqhiyyah to practical legal cases, as well as a conceptual and epistemological approach through uṣūl al-fiqh. Using descriptive qualitative methods and a literature review of classical sources such as al-Ashbāh wa al-Naẓāʾir by Imam al-Suyūṭī and al-Muwāfaqāt by Imam al-Shāṭibī, this study finds that prenuptial agreements have a valid Sharia basis as long as they do not conflict with the basic principles of Islamic law. Analysis based on legal principles such as al-ʿādah muḥakkamah (custom has legal force) shows the flexibility of Islamic law in accommodating socio-legal needs. From a fiqh perspective, this concept is in line with the objectives of Sharia in protecting property (ḥifẓ al-māl) and offspring (ḥifẓ al-nasl). Therefore, prenuptial agreements are not only administrative tools, but also reflect the implementation of Sharia values in family life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of teachers’ emotional intelligence on students’ learning motivation and critical thinking skills in Social Studies for seventh-grade students at SMP Muallimin Wonodadi Blitar. A quantitative non-experimental causal-comparative design was employed, involving all 25 seventh-grade students as the sample. Data were collected using questionnaires, tests, and documentation, and analyzed through simple linear regression and correlation using SPSS 26. The results indicate that teachers’ emotional intelligence has a significant effect on students’ learning motivation, contributing 42.1%. In addition, learning motivation shows a strong and positive relationship with students’ critical thinking skills (r = 0.750; p < 0.05). These findings highlight the important role of teachers’ emotional intelligence in fostering students’ motivation and critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the fiqhiyyah al-'Adatu Muhakkamah principle (customary law can be established as law) in the istinbath (inference) method of Islamic family law. The main focus of this study is to explore the extent to which community traditions or customs can be used as a basis for formal legality in domestic matters such as dowry, alimony, and the division of joint property. This research is a qualitative study using a library research approach, employing descriptive-analytical methods to analyze usul fiqh books and family law regulations in Indonesia (Compilation of Islamic Law). The results of the study show that the principle of al-'Adatu Muhakkamah plays a crucial role as an instrument of flexibility in Islamic law, whereby the law can change according to changes in time and place as long as it does not contradict explicit textual evidence (sharih). In the context of family law, this rule is implemented in determining the standard of alimony (ma'ruf) and recognition of joint property (gono-gini), which is a crystallization of the customs of the Indonesian people. In conclusion, the integration of customs through this rule provides space for Islamic family law to remain relevant, fair, and applicable in responding to the socio-cultural dynamics of contemporary society.

Abstract

The increase in urbanization and commercial infrastructure development in Palembang City drives a surge in electrical energy demand. Energy efficiency is crucial, yet conventional reactive building management systems often fail to anticipate waste. This research proposes an integrated Smart Building system combining Internet of Things (IoT) based on Node-RED for real-time monitoring and Deep Learning using Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) algorithm to predict energy consumption. Simulation dataset was collected for 90 days at 5-minute intervals, covering electrical and environmental parameters. Experimental results show that the proposed LSTM model can predict electricity load 1 hour ahead with high accuracy, achieving Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.78 kW and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 1.05 kW, outperforming ARIMA baseline statistical method. Prediction-based control strategy simulation shows potential energy savings of 8-12% through peak shaving techniques on air conditioning and lighting systems.

Abstract

The thought of Abu Ḥamid Al Ghazali (1058–1111 CE) holds a profound influence on Islamic educational theory, particularly in the relationship between language, ethics, and character formation. This study aims to conceptually analyze the relevance of Al Ghazali’s ideas on language and education in the context of developing the Arabic Language curriculum implemented by the ministry of religious affairs (Kemenag) at the elementary school level. The method employed in this study is a qualitative approach based on library research, utilizing content analysis of Al Ghazali’s seminal works such as Iḥya’ ‘Ulum Al-din, Mizan Al ‘amal, and Al Mustashfa Min ‘ilm Al Uṣul, as well as official documents of the Arabic Language Curriculum issued by the ministry of religious affairs (Kemenag) in 2013 and its revision in 2020. The results of the analysis indicate that Al Ghazali positions language as both a spiritual and epistemological instrument for understanding divine revelation, instilling values of adab (proper conduct), and shaping the moral character of learners. According to him, language is not merely a tool of communication but also a means of moral cultivation and the purification of intention within the educational process. This line of thought aligns with the direction of the ministry of religious affairs’ curriculum, which emphasizes the development of communicative competence, Islamic values, and religious character. However, the study reveals a gap between Al Ghazali’s philosophical ideals and the practical implementation of the curriculum in the field, where Arabic language instruction at the elementary level remains primarily focused on linguistic competence, with limited attention to its ethical and spiritual dimensions. This study concludes that the development of the Arabic Language curriculum at the elementary school level should integrate the three main pillars of Al-Ghazali’s thought tawḥid (the oneness of God), adab (proper conduct), and ḥikmah (wisdom) into every aspect of learning, including objectives, content, methods, and assessment. In doing so, the curriculum would not only produce students who are proficient in the Arabic language but also individuals of noble character who possess spiritual awareness in their use of language.

Abstract

The use of technology-based learning media has become an important requirement in improving the quality of the learning process, including in science education at MI Muhammadiyah Bandingan, which has implemented audio-visual media to support the delivery of material. This study aims to analyze the implementation of audio-visual media in IPAS learning in grade IV and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. The study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The result show that MI Muhammdiyah Bandingan has implemented audio-visual media in IPAS learning in grade IV quite well. The implementation was carried out in three stages, namely planning, which included the preparation of teaching modules, materials, learning tools, and evaluation instruments, implementation, which included introductory, core, and closing activities using videos and powerppoint presentations to improve student understanding, and evaluation, which was carried out through the assessment of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. Supporting factors for this media include the availability of school facilities, student enthusiasm, and the ease with which teachers can deliver material, while inhibiliting factors include technical constraints such as power outages, limited media content, and the potential for noise disturbance between classes.

Abstract

The role of housewives in managing family finances is a crucial factor in maintaining household economic stability. However, differences in financial literacy levels and increasingly consumptive lifestyles often affect the effectiveness of financial management. This study aims to systematically analyze the relationship between financial literacy and lifestyle as determinants of household financial management among housewives. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Literature searches were conducted through Google Scholar and Scopus databases for publications between 2022 and 2025, using the keywords “financial literacy,” “lifestyle,” “financial management,” and “housewives.” A total of 35 articles were identified—22 from Google Scholar and 13 indexed in Scopus. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 13 relevant studies were selected for in-depth analysis based on topic relevance, research methodology, and key findings. The results indicate that financial literacy positively and significantly influences the ability of housewives to plan, manage, and control family finances, whereas a consumptive lifestyle tends to reduce the quality of financial management. Furthermore, education level, income, and access to digital financial technology were identified as mediating variables that strengthen or weaken this relationship. This study contributes to the theoretical and practical understanding of the importance of enhancing financial literacy and managing lifestyle behaviors to promote household financial well-being in Indonesia.

Abstract

Nowaadays technological advances are increasingly sophisticated, youtube social media asaform of technological innovation that makes it easier to get information designed in the form of audio visuals so that it can be used as a learning medium today. The purpose of this study is to find out the use of youtube social media in increasing students' interest in learning Islamic Religious Education subjects at Al Karim Rasyid Elementary School. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The subjects of the research consisted of the Principal, teachers of Islamic Religious Education subjects, and 5 students of the third grade of Al Karim Rasyid Elementary School. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. The results of this study show that the use of youtube social media in increasing students'interest in learning in Islamic Religious Education subjects at Al Karim Rasyid Senior High School is good,through the suitability of the use of youtube asa learning medium combined with the ability of teacher stop provide teaching,able to operate youtube well, which is supported by the availability of facilities so as to provide efficiency in learning in the form of good and fast understanding,as well as many other benefits.In the use of youtube can increase student interest, it can be seen that when learning PAI using youtube students feel happy because of the attractive images and sound sprovided by youtube, student interest increases through different learning atmospheres when learning with youtube, ice breaking, group assignments, giving follow-up assignments, and the selection of short videos makes students focus on paying attention, students become active in asking and answering questions when learning to use youtube.

Abstract

. This study underscores the significance of Civic Education (PKn) in strengthening citizens’ understanding of the balance between rights and responsibilities within the spheres of society, nation, and state. Rights are viewed as entitlements to be received, while responsibilities are obligations that must be fulfilled, and the harmony between the two is essential for sustaining democratic life as mandated by the 1945 Constitution. The research aims to examine the strategic role of Civic Education in nurturing democratic awareness and to identify barriers that hinder its effective practice. Employing a systematic literature review, the study synthesizes insights from twenty scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2025. The findings reveal that although Civic Education serves as a vital medium for instilling democratic values, its implementation continues to face challenges such as limited legal awareness, unequal access to education, and corruption that weakens civic integrity. The implications highlight the need for Civic Education to be delivered in a transformative and context-sensitive manner, utilizing active, adaptive, and participatory approaches. Through such methods, Civic Education is expected to cultivate responsible citizens who critically engage in democratic processes, uphold the balance between claiming rights and fulfilling obligations, and contribute to the sustainability of democracy in Indonesia.
