Abstract

Real work lectures are useful in helping students to realize the younger generation, especially children. One of them is bullying prevention socialization activities. Researchers explain education about bullying. Forms of bullying, the impact and prevention of bullying. This activity is desired to be able to explain the benefits for schools, parents and students so as to reduce bullying that occurs. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study design chosen to explore the dynamics of implementing a bullying socialization program with the aim of improving and preventing bullying in Talawi hilie village. The results of the analysis are presented in narrative form so as to provide a clear picture of the field conditions and the perspective of school residents on the program that is running. The results of the socialization activities show that students have a good understanding of bullying and after participating in this bullying socialization activity, students are able to explain the definition of bullying as “repeated behavior by a person or group with the aim of hurting both at school, and other social environments”. They also understand the prevention of bullying such as, education and socialization, increasing empathy and attention and reporting if they get bullying. It can be concluded that this activity motivates the community, especially elementary school students in Talawi Hilie Village, to prevent bullying. Bullying socialization activities are carried out well and there is an increase in bullying prevention to improve the character of good children.

Abstract

Sexual violence is an act that is carried out without consent, the many cases of sexual violence that occur today also occur in campus areas. This empowerment activity aims to provide understanding to women to be more sensitive to themselves and their surroundings by providing material on the forms of sexual violence that occur in the campus environment, the factors that cause it, and the prevention and handling efforts that are implemented. The forms of sexual violence are verbal, physical, and technology-based. Factors such as patriarchal culture, weak regulations, and power imbalances between lecturers and students are the main causes of sexual violence. The results of the activity with the topic "Socialization of the Dangers of Sexual Violence Against Women in the Campus Environment of Padang State University" showed an increase in student knowledge and awareness, with the hope of forming a campus culture that is more concerned and responsive to the issue of sexual violence.

Abstract

The Forum Anak Desa Talawi Hilie (FATIH) is a child participation platform at the village level aimed at ensuring the fulfillment of children’s rights and providing space for children to act as pioneers and reporters (2P) in village development. This activity aims to explore the roles, challenges, and contributions of FATIH in realizing a child-friendly village. The method used in this activity is a qualitative approach through direct interviews with the FATIH mentor. This approach was chosen to obtain in-depth and contextual information about the forum’s activities, the support it receives, and the mentor’s perspective on children’s participation in the village. The results of this activity indicate that FATIH has been actively implementing various programs that support child protection and empower children as agents of change. However, continuous support from the village government, the community, and related stakeholders is still needed to optimize the role of the child forum.

Abstract

Islamic religious education (PAI) in elementary schools plays a very important role in shaping students' character from an early age. One of the basic materials that needs to be given to students is about morals and ethics in Islam. Through teaching good morals, it is hoped that students can understand and apply the moral values ​​taught in Islam in everyday life. This community service aims to provide a deeper understanding of morals and ethics in Islam to elementary school students, especially those related to noble behavior, such as honesty, patience, helping each other, and respecting others. This community service activity is carried out through the use of visual and audiovisual media to facilitate students' understanding. In this activity, students are invited to learn through inspirational stories in Islam, and are given the opportunity to discuss and practice good behavior in accordance with the teachings of Islam. It is hoped that with this fun and interactive approach, students can internalize moral values ​​in their lives. Through this community service, it is hoped that students will not only gain knowledge about Islamic morals, but can also apply them in their daily social interactions. In addition, this activity also aims to strengthen collaboration between schools, students, and the community in creating a generation with noble morals and high integrity. The results of this activity are expected to provide a positive contribution in developing the character of students in elementary schools, as well as being a model for moral teaching activities in other schools.

Abstract

  The development of technology in the era of the industrial revolution has opened up various new opportunities, one of which is in the field of digital entrepreneurship. The use of digital platforms such as Shopee, Tokopedia, and Instagram has become an effective means of marketing products, including for housewives. Empowering housewives in the field of digital entrepreneurship is important to improve economic independence and the standard of living for families. This activity aims to provide basic knowledge and skills regarding digital entrepreneurship to housewives living in Rusunawa Purus, Padang City. The method used in this activity is a qualitative descriptive approach through interactive socialization, consisting of material presentations, discussions, Q&A, and hands-on practice. The results of the activity showed that participants demonstrated high enthusiasm, began to understand the concept of digital entrepreneurship, and were motivated to start home-based online businesses. This activity proves that empowerment through digital training can be an effective strategy to increase the economic participation of housewives. Continued mentoring is needed so that the digital transformation process can be sustainable and provide real economic impact.

Abstract

This community service activity is entitled education on pests and diseases and socialization of the introduction of entomopathogenic fungi Beauveria bassiana as a solution for pest control in food crops. This community service aims to provide education about pests and diseases to the community, especially farmers. This community service activity was carried out in Lamatti Riaja Village, Bulupoddo District, Sinjai Regency. This activity is important to increase public insight into pests and diseases and solutions for controlling pests in food crops using Beauveria bassiana. The methods used are education and evaluation. The results of this community service can be seen that there has been an increase in public understanding regarding pests and diseases and how to control pests using Beauveria bassiana.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah merupakan isu penting yang harus ditanamkan sejak dini untuk menciptakan kesadaran lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepedulian anak-anak terhadap pengelolaan sampah melalui media animasi edukasi di Panti Asuhan Ridho Rahmat, Padang Selatan. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan berbasis video animasi interaktif yang mengajarkan konsep 5R dan pengolahan sampah organik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan antusiasme anak-anak dalam mengelola sampah dengan benar. Pendekatan berbasis media audio-visual terbukti efektif dalam menanamkan perilaku peduli lingkungan pada anak-anak. Diharapkan metode ini dapat terus dikembangkan dalam program pemberdayaan masyarakat di masa depan.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the public health problems that is still a serious concern in Indonesia, especially in rural areas. This condition occurs due to chronic malnutrition over a long period of time, especially during the First 1,000 Days of Life (HPK), which has a negative impact on physical growth, cognitive development, and the level of intelligence and productivity of children in the future. Stunting also increases the risk of chronic diseases, thus becoming an obstacle in realizing a healthy and productive generation. Based on WHO data, Indonesia ranks third highest in the prevalence of stunting in toddlers in the Southeast Asia region. Therefore, real intervention is needed through a community empowerment approach. This community service activity was carried out at the Tunggul Hitam Integrated Health Post through socialization of balanced nutrition patterns and stunting prevention targeting mothers who have babies and toddlers. This socialization is part of a community empowerment effort that aims to increase awareness, knowledge, and behavioral changes in maintaining family health and nutrition. The material presented includes an understanding of balanced nutritious food, the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, environmental sanitation, and proper parenting patterns. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the importance of balanced nutrition and efforts to prevent stunting. In general, socialization has a positive impact in encouraging healthy living behavior among the community, especially mothers as the main decision makers in child care. This activity not only provides short-term benefits in the form of increased awareness, but also opens up opportunities for the development of similar programs in other regions as part of the national strategy to reduce stunting rates.

Abstract

In the digital era, entrepreneurship among university students has become increasingly relevant due to the accessibility of technology. This study aims to enhance students’ understanding of digital entrepreneurship through a structured socialization program. The approach used was participatory and informative, consisting of presentations, discussions, and Q&A sessions. The program focused on utilizing platforms such as Shutterstock, Canva, and affiliate marketing to initiate low-capital digital businesses. Conducted at Universitas Negeri Padang, the activity involved students from various departments. Data were collected using a pre-event survey and post-event questionnaire to evaluate knowledge acquisition and student perceptions. The results show increased interest and awareness among students regarding digital business opportunities. Participants reported motivation to start their own ventures using accessible digital tools. This study concludes that socialization programs are effective in fostering entrepreneurial spirit among youth, especially when practical and technology-based approaches are employed.

Abstract

Kota Padang merupakan wilayah rawan terhadap bencana gempa dan tsunami karena kota Padang terletak di kawasan Cincin Api Pasifik dan berhadapan langsung dengan Samudra Hindia. Kondisi geografis ini mengharuskan seluruh lapisan masyarakat, terutama kelompok rentan salah satunya anak-anak, untuk memiliki kesiapsiagaan dalam menghadapi bencana. Artikel ini membahas kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa Peningkatan Pemahaman kesiapsiagaan menghadapi gempa dan tsunami kepada anak-anak SD di Masjid Raya Taqrib Kota Padang. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan metode penyampaian materi, simulasi praktis, diskusi interaktif, dan sesi yanya jawab. Tujuan utama kegiatan sosialisasi ini adalah untuk membangun kesadaran dan meningkatkan kemampuan anak-anak untuk menghadapi situasi darurat bencana. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai Tindakan yang tepat saat terjadi gempa dan tsunami, serta pentingnya evakuasi ke tempat yang aman. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pengurangan risiko bencana di kalangan anak-anak di Kota Padang. Padang merupakan wilayah yang cukup rawan terhadap terjadinya bencana.
