Abstract

This study describes the role of community service (KKN) students in developing religious programs for teenagers at the mosque in Talang Empat Village, Bengkulu. The research responds to the low participation of youth in mosque activities due to irrelevant programs and a lack of engaging atmosphere. KKN students acted as change agents by initiating contextual and participatory programs such as Friday evening sermons, mosque cleaning, Qur'an recitation classes, Ramadan Islamic competitions, and the commemoration of Nuzulul Qur’an. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show a significant increase in youth involvement each week, especially in sermon and Qur’an learning activities. Students not only served as organizers but also as mentors and facilitators who built positive relationships and encouraged active participation. The program successfully revitalized the mosque's role as a center for youth religious development. This model of mosque-based community engagement proves to be an effective strategy for strengthening Islamic values among rural youth and is recommended for wider implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the availability and accessibility of healthcare services in Nagari Pasilihan, X Koto Diatas Subdistrict, Solok Regency, and their impact on community welfare. Although basic health facilities such as Poskesri, Pustu, and Puskesmas are present, service quality remains hindered by various structural issues including limited medical personnel, outdated equipment, and non-digital medical records. Geographic isolation and poor road infrastructure further restrict access, particularly for low-income residents. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the study reveals a gap between the physical availability of health services and their optimal utilization. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of more inclusive, locally-driven rural health policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the accessibility and connectivity conditions of information technology in Nagari Pasilihan, a remote area facing various challenges related to technological infrastructure. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, this research explores the perceptions of the community, technology managers, and local policymakers regarding the obstacles they face in accessing information technology and the solutions that can be implemented to improve accessibility. The findings show that the majority of the population in Nagari Pasilihan experiences difficulties in accessing the internet due to poor network quality, high costs, and low levels of digital literacy. Although most of the population uses information technology daily, they are still limited by inadequate infrastructure. The recommendations proposed include improving network infrastructure, reducing internet access costs, and providing digital literacy training. This study also emphasizes the importance of collaboration between the government, the private sector, and the community in enhancing connectivity and accessibility in remote areas.

Abstract

Waste problem has become a crucial issue in Indonesia, including in Solok area. This research aims to foster self-awareness of elementary school children regarding waste management through interactive and comprehensive educational activities. This activity is part of the Community Service Program (KKN) carried out at MIN 2 Solok, Jorong Balai Pinang, Nagari Muaro Paneh, Bukit Sundi District, Solok Regency. The method used in this educational activity is a combination of presentations, lectures, and interactive discussions with material including the concept of waste, types of waste, positive and negative impacts of waste, the importance of waste sorting, and evaluation through quiz. The results of the activity show that students have a good interest and understanding of waste management materials, especially in practical aspects such as waste sorting and recycling potential. This activity made a positive contribution in changing students' perception of waste from something that must be avoided to potential that can be developed into valuable products. It is hoped that this education can be the foundation in forming an environmentally conscious generation that is able to implement sustainable waste management.

Abstract

Mata pencaharian warga masyarakat Desa Soru Jaya Kecamatan Soropia Kabupaten Konawe adalah mayoritas sebagai nelayan. Kurangnya kesadaran pengelolan simpan pinjam tentang pentingnya pencatatan keuangan serta kurangnya keterampilan model pembukuan yang mudah diaplikasikan oleh rumah tangga nelayan di Desa Sorue Jaya Kecamatan Soropia Kabupaten Konawe, sehingga kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan kelompok simpan pinjam bagi rumah tangga nelayan kecamatan Soropia kabupaten Konawe menjadi penting dan mendesak untuk dilakukan. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu meningkatkan kesadaran tentang pentingnya manajemen simpan pinjam yang tepat, meningkatkan pengetahuan rumah tangga nelayan tentang cara pencatatan keuangan terkait penyimpanan dan peminjaman dana dengan sederhana dan efektif serta memberikan pengetahuan tentang penanganan terhadap pendapatan yang tidak stabil. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan keterampilan nelayan dalam mengelola keuangan, khususnya dalam hal pencatatan transaksi keuangan. Peserta menunjukkan perubahan pandangan yang semula menganggap pencatatan keuangan dan saving keuangan tidak penting, kini mulai menyadari perlunya melakukan pencatatan atas aktivitas keuangan mereka terutama yang berkaitan dengan kegiatan melaut. Selain itu, kesadaran akan saving keuangan untuk masa depan juga mulai meningkat.

Abstract

Environmental management represents a critical issue faced in the development of urban areas, including in the city of Padang. Environmental management refers to all efforts undertaken to preserve, protect, improve and utilize the environment in a wise and sustainable manner. This rearch seeks to explore the role of community empowerment as a strategic approach to improving environmental management. Furthermore, the study intends to increase public understanding regarding the significance of managing the environment. Through empowerment program, it is expected that the community will not only actively participate but also understand their strategic role in maintaning environmental sustainabillity.This Study employs a literature review method by synthesizing and evaluating a range of prior research concerning,encouraging active involvement and fostering shared responbillity in preserving environmental quality, thereby achieving the goal of creating a clean, healthy and sustainable environment.

Abstract

Stunting is a physical condition in children who experience slow growth and development. This is caused by malnutrition, parenting patterns, infections, and environmental health experienced by pregnant women, as well as toddlers to toddlers. The complexity of the stunting problem begins with the lack of nutritional food consumed during the 1000 days of life from the fetus to the age of two years. The purpose of the study was to socialize healthy nutritious food as an effort to prevent stunting in Berangin District, Sawahlunto Regency. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques through literature studies, observations, interviews with parties involved in preventing stunting, and experiments by conducting a healthy nutritious food cooking demonstration to the Berangin District community. The results of this activity showed an increase in public knowledge about stunting and the application of nutritious food that is easy to consume. Seeing the enthusiasm of the community during the cooking demonstration as a form of implementing healthy nutritious food, it is recommended that health workers in Berangin District can socialize and implement healthy nutritious food that can be consumed as a form of preventing stunting.

Abstract

Nowadays, there are many cases related to juvenile delinquency in the community. With several factors that make teenagers vulnerable to being influenced by free association which results in various situations such as free sex and crime. Thus, Padang State University students conduct socialization to be able to provide understanding and reminders for students about the negative impacts of free association and help control their lives to be more vigilant. In the socialization at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang, a face-to-face method was used, accompanied by questions and answers, sharing, and giving prizes to active students. The implementation of the socialization was carried out for one hour, involving 20 students of SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. With the socialization they received, they were able to provide an understanding of the dangers of free association, negative impacts, and efforts to handle it. Consistency is needed from students so that they can always avoid free association.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve Islamic financial literacy among orphanage children as an effort to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to manage their finances wisely. In this context, Islamic financial literacy includes an understanding of the basic principles of finance in accordance with Islamic law, including savings management, investment, and avoidance of usury. This program is implemented through a series of socialization of material delivery, interactive training, and financial management simulations designed to make learning interesting and easy to understand. By improving Islamic financial literacy, it is hoped that orphanage children can build a strong economic foundation, which will not only benefit themselves, but also the community around them. Through this activity, we hope to create a generation that is more aware of the importance of good and ethical financial management, and is able to contribute to sustainable economic development in the future.

Abstract

Aplikasi figma merupakan alat desain UI/UX yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literas digital di era perkembangan teknologi saat ini. Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini berbentuk sosialisasi tentang penggunaan aplikasi figma sebagai alat desain UI/UX. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa SMK Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau. PKM ini juga diharapkan dapat mengembangkan kemampuan desain UI/UX siswa agar dapat bersaing di industri kreatif digital. Audience dari kegiatan ini siswa SMK Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau khususnya kelas XII Jurusan Multimedia. Metode pelaksanaan sosialisasi ini yaitu ceramah, diskusi, serta tanya jawab. Tahap ceramah dilakukan dengan presentasi materi yang meliputi pengenalan desain UI/UX, tahapan membuat desain UI/UX, hingga manfaat dan penggunaan aplikasi Figma. Dilanjutkan dengan tahap diskusi dan tanya jawab oleh peserta dan tim PKM terkait materi yang diberikan. Kegiatan diakhiri dengan kuis berhadiah bagi peserta yang bisa menjawab pertanyaan dari pemateri. Hasil dari kegiatan ini pemahaman literasi digital yang baik, menambah pemahaman tentang desain UI/UX serta pemanfaatan aplikasi Figma sebagai alat desain UI/UX. Rencana tindak lanjut yang akan derealisasikan yaitu mengadakan pelatihan kepada siswa tentang penggunaan aplikasi Figma sebagai alat desain UI/UX, untuk mempersiapkan siswa berkarir dalam desain digital.
