Abstract

This study evaluates the impact of innovative interactive learning media on social-emotional skill development in preschool-aged children. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research compared social-emotional growth between an experimental group that engaged with interactive media and a control group that used traditional storybooks. Six key social-emotional skills were assessed: empathy, emotional regulation, cooperation, communication, conflict resolution, and self-awareness. Results indicated significant improvements in the experimental group across all skill parameters, with the greatest gains in communication and conflict resolution. Independent t-tests revealed that the experimental group’s progress was significantly greater than that of the control group, with large Cohen’s d effect sizes underscoring the practical relevance of these outcomes. Qualitative feedback from educators and parents further supported these findings, emphasizing how interactive media fostered active engagement and offered opportunities for children to practice social skills in real-time scenarios. This study highlights the effectiveness of interactive media as a tool for early childhood social-emotional learning and recommends further exploration of its potential across varied educational settings.

Abstract

This research analyses the implementation of judges' decisions on law enforcement of taxation crimes in Indonesia and identifies ideal criminal law policies to achieve legal certainty. The method used is normative juridical with analytical descriptive approach, which is supported by the theory of judicial power, theory of legal certainty, and theory of law enforcement. The results show that the ultimum remedium principle has not been fully applied consistently, with some serious tax offences going directly to the criminal realm even though administrative mechanisms are still possible. Conversely, some other offences are resolved administratively, even though the criminal elements have been fulfilled. This inconsistency suggests the need for uniform technical guidelines to reduce differences in legal interpretation. This research is an integration of restorative justice principles in Indonesian tax law, which allows offenders to settle tax liabilities along with penalties before being subject to criminal sanctions. This approach balances the recovery of state losses and the deterrent effect for offenders, while supporting sustainable taxpayer compliance. This research recommends the preparation of pretrial guidelines and harmonization of regulations to improve legal certainty in tax cases in Indonesia.

Abstract

General elections are the main pillar of democracy that aims to guarantee the political rights of every citizen in a fair manner. However, election regulations in Indonesia still face obstacles, such as inequality in the allocation of legislative seats, the dominance of political elite interests, the lack of representation of marginalised groups, and the lack of transparency in the legislative process. This research uses a normative juridical method to analyse the gap between the principles of substantive justice mandated by the constitution and the reality of the implementation of election regulations, as well as to offer a political reconstruction of law based on substantive justice. The novelty of the research lies in the proposed incentive mechanism in the form of additional funding for political parties that succeed in increasing women's representation in parliament as well as the application of a technology-based open legislative system to increase transparency and public participation. Reconstruction based on three main pillars - equality, representation, and transparency - is expected to improve the legitimacy of elections, create inclusive democracy, and strengthen the values of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.

Abstract

Sedation of propofol, chloral hydrate, midazolam, and ketamine is commonly used in MRI examinations. There are still risky side effects from the previous 4 sedations, so melatonin tablets are a safer option. Melatonin synthesized in tablets can still cause quite adverse side effects. Pistachios processed into milk can be used as an alternative to natural melatonin oral sedation. Research Objective: To determine the potential of pistachio milk as an alternative to oral melatonin sedation to support MRI examinations. Research Method: This research uses the R&D (Research and Development) method with 4 stages, namely finding potentials and problems, data collection, product design, and design validation. The product in the form of 200 mL pistachio milk with concentration variants of 35 g, 45 g, 55 g, 65 g was tested in a laboratory to determine its potential from the test results with a reference to melatonin tablets of 10 mg. Research Results: Laboratory tests showed the presence of melatonin and other accompanying ingredients such as phenolics, carotene, and polyphenols. The melatonin content of the 35 g, 45 g, 55 g, 65 g variants is 5.5 mg, 6.1 mg, 8.7 mg, 10.5 mg, respectively. Conclusion: Pistachio milk with a 65 g variant has a melatonin content of 10.5 mg which is close to the reference for sedation of melatonin tablets of 10 mg, so it has the potential to be an alternative to oral sedation of melatonin to support MRI examinations.

Abstract

This research discusses the role and impact of medical expert witness testimony in drug abuse cases involving police officers as alleged violators of the code of ethics. Expert witness testimony plays a critical role as a key piece of evidence in the legal process, particularly in determining the validity of allegations and ensuring fairness in proceedings. However, the study highlights several challenges faced by medical experts, including social pressure, public stigma, and potential conflicts of interest that may compromise their objectivity, integrity, and independence. Furthermore, the complexity of legal procedures and administrative constraints can hinder the timely collection of biological samples and subsequent analysis. Difficulties in accessing relevant medical records and data further exacerbate these challenges, creating delays and inefficiencies in resolving cases. This study also underscores the psychological and institutional pressures on expert witnesses when handling cases involving law enforcement personnel, which can impact their professional credibility. To address these issues, the research recommends systemic reforms aimed at strengthening the role of expert witnesses through clearer regulations, standardized procedures for evidence collection, and enhanced safeguards to protect their independence. Improved transparency, accountability, and collaboration between legal and medical institutions are critical to ensuring justice, particularly in cases of drug abuse involving law enforcement officers.

Abstract

Consumer disputes are issues that frequently arise in the relationship between consumers and businesses. In Indonesia, the Consumer Dispute Settlement Body (BPSK) plays a vital role in addressing these disputes. The legal efforts available through BPSK are regulated under Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection, which provides a legal framework for dispute resolution that is simple, fast, and low-cost. The dispute resolution process at BPSK includes mediation, binding decisions, and procedures regulated by the Ministry of Trade Regulation No. 11 of 2016. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the legal efforts undertaken by BPSK in handling consumer disputes, as well as the challenges faced in its implementation. The findings indicate that although BPSK offers better access for consumers, there are still barriers regarding socialization, resource capacity, and community legal awareness. This research is expected to provide recommendations for improving the consumer dispute resolution system in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research focuses on the formation of students' religious character in the midst of globalization and technological advancement, which affects the behavior and moral values of the younger generation. The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project is one of the government's efforts to instill students' religious values that are in line with Pancasila. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study at SMA Negeri 1 Nubatukan. Data was collected through documentation of related programs, interviews with teachers, students, and principals, and observations. The analysis process was carried out descriptively with the aim of explaining how the concepts, implementation, and impact of this project were carried out and their influence on the formation of students' religious character. The results of the study show that the program can improve students' understanding of Pancasila religious values while maintaining the diversity of religions and beliefs of students at Nubatukan State High School. These changes show that students are developing academically and emotionally as well as socially. However, there are several problems that arise today, such as lack of parental involvement, limited resources, limited time, mismatch of interests and characteristics of students, and rapid curriculum changes. This research finds that through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project, schools, parents, and the community must work together to support the development of religious character. In addition, it is necessary to improve facilities and teacher training related to this program so that character development is more sustainable and effective.

Abstract

PT Madya Utama Lima is a company engaged in the field of coal mining management and mining contractor service provider. This study aims to examine the mediating role of organizational commitment on the relationships between work-family conflict and organizational culture with organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) at PT Madya Utama Lima. The research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method, involving 60 permanent employees as respondents. Data were analyzed using the structural equation model (SEM) with Smart PLS software. The findings indicate that work-family conflict negatively affects both organizational commitment and OCB, while organizational culture positively affects organizational commitment and OCB. Furthermore, organizational commitment significantly mediates the negative impact of work-family conflict and the positive impact of organizational culture on OCB. The results highlight the importance of enhancing organizational commitment to mitigate work-family conflict and leverage organizational culture for improved OCB. This research provides practical insights for organizations to create supportive policies and strengthen their cultural values, contributing to increased employee performance and organizational effectiveness.
