Abstract

Inventory management is an important component in the smooth operation of a company, especially in the energy generation sector. PKT is experiencing discrepancies between system data and physical stock opname results. These discrepancies disrupt stock control performance and can cause operational disturbances. The objective of this research is to identify the main factors contributing to data discrepancies and provide improvement recommendations using the Six Sigma approach combined with the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). This methodology is used to identify problems, measure the level of deviation, analyze root causes, create improvement solutions, and monitor the results of the improvements. The research results show that weaknesses in monitoring incoming and outgoing goods, as well as the lack of standardization in recording procedures, are the causes of data discrepancies. Recommendations for improvement include providing instructions to warehouse employees and optimizing the digital recording system.

Abstract

The use of mobile-based applications has become an integral part of everyday life. One very popular application in this category is Mamikos, which makes it easy to search for boarding houses online with various inspiring and user-friendly features. Even though Mamikos is well known by many groups, there are still several problems faced by users when using this application. Some users reported difficulty in navigation, inaccurate search information, and inadequate application response speed. This research aims to spread the usefulness of the Mamikos application using the Objective Evaluation method, USE Questionnaire, and Think Aloud Usability Testing. The USE Questionnaire method is used to collect quantitative data regarding usability, ease of use, ease of learning, and user satisfaction. Meanwhile, the Think Aloud Usability Testing method is used to gain qualitative insights from users as they use the application. The research results show that the Mamikos application has a good level of usability with an average score of 76% for completing tasks. The usability evaluation that has been tested shows that the Mamikos application has a feasibility score of 59% in the Usability aspect, 70% in the Ease of Use aspect, 55% in the Ease of Learning aspect, and 72% in the Satisfaction aspect. However, some navigation problems and inaccurate information retrieval were still encountered. Based on these findings, recommendations for improvements are provided to improve the user experience.

Abstract

This study aims to redesign the layout of three warehouse areas at PT Intan Prima Kalorindo, namely the inner warehouse, upper warehouse, and outer warehouse, to improve the efficiency of material flow and space utilization. The Blocplan method was used as a systematic approach to layout planning based on activity proximity (Activity Relationship Chart). Data were collected through observation, interviews, and direct measurements on site. The redesign results showed a significant improvement in efficiency across all three warehouses, with the highest R-score values of 0.60 for the inner warehouse, 0.61 for the upper warehouse, and 1.00 for the outer warehouse. Implementation was carried out gradually, with several adjustments made to accommodate actual field conditions. This research demonstrates that the Blocplan method is effective in redesigning warehouse layouts to support smooth operational performance at PT Intan Prima Kalorindo.

Abstract

The availability of a reliable and sufficient electricity supply is a crucial factor in supporting economic growth and societal activities. PT XYZ, as the state-owned company responsible for electricity generation and distribution in Indonesia, faced challenges in maintaining the balance between electricity supply and demand, including in the Bali region. As electricity consumption continued to increase, proper planning was required for managing the power system, particularly in the medium-voltage subsystem. This study aimed to forecast the peak load for the year 2025 and analyze the need for additional generation capacity in the Bali Subsystem. The method employed was Double Exponential Smoothing (DES), with parameter optimization for α and β using the Solver feature in Microsoft Excel to enhance forecasting accuracy. The data used consisted of monthly peak load values from 2024. The forecasting results indicated that the Solver method produced a peak load estimate of 1,287 MW with a MAPE value of 1.50%, which was more accurate than the initial DES method that yielded a MAPE of 5.91%. Meanwhile, the current generation capacity of 1,388 MW leaves only a 101 MW reserve margin, which is below the minimum safety threshold of 130 MW. This condition highlighted the importance of adding medium-voltage generation capacity to maintain the reliability of the Bali power system in the face of potential disturbances and future demand increases.

Abstract

Among the various factors that can impact the strength of concrete, the curing method is a key factor. This treatment aims to maintain moisture on the concrete surface, allowing the hydration process to run optimally. Generally, hydration lasts for 28 days, allowing the concrete to reach a strength that meets the established quality standards. However, various conditions in the field are one of the factors that prevent curing from being carried out perfectly. In this study, the researcher wanted to show how the curing process affects the strength of the resulting concrete. The test used concrete samples with curing ages of 7, 14, and 28 days, along with cylindrical test objects. The test results showed that the compressive strength of the concrete increased with increasing curing age, namely 24.11 MPa (7 days), 28.42 MPa (14 days), and 32.56 MPa (28 days), meeting the design quality of 30 MPa. SQC analysis was carried out using the I diagram and MR diagram for each age group of test objects. The results showed that the entire testing process fell within the quality control limits, indicating that the curing process was considered stable. This study confirms the importance of optimal concrete curing for up to 28 days to achieve maximum compressive strength

Abstract

Bread is a practical source of carbohydrates and is popular among people of all ages, from children to adults. The flatbread factory, "ZB (Zebra Brother)," located in Balikpapan, has been operating since 2004, and its products are pretty well-known to the local community. However, this factory experiences obstacles such as the uncertainty of machine repair times, which impacts the company's ability to reschedule production, and the raw materials provided can exceed their storage period. If all subsystems of the bread production process are well understood, the process can run smoothly and meet market needs. This study aims to identify factors that influence the flat bread production system, analyze and model it to predict production performance over the next 5 years, and provide strategic recommendations to improve and increase the efficiency of the flat bread production system. Of the six scenarios, the five best scenarios were identified, namely adding machines and sales, and conducting regular promotions, which were able to maximize profits and sustainably meet market demand while facing the challenges of increasing raw material prices and growing competition.

Abstract

The phenomenon of price increases and scarcity of subsidized 3 kg LPG affects customer loyalty, especially in Pangkalan Setya Sidoarjo. This study integrates Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to analyze the factors that shape such loyalty. SEM results indicate that price increases and the scarcity of goods have a significant impact on customer loyalty. Meanwhile, FMEA is used to identify potential risks in the field, so as not to interfere with customers' positive perceptions of price increases and scarcity of availability, which have the potential to reduce loyalty. Solutions are formulated through the 5W + 1H approach. The integration of these two methods provides a theoretical and practical understanding of how to sustainably maintain customer loyalty.
