Abstract

Understanding Indonesian symbols and language in mathematics learning is a significant challenge for junior high school students, especially in regions with local language diversity. This study aims to explore students' challenges and strategies in understanding mathematical symbols as well as the role of teachers in supporting such learning. The research used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, involving semi-structured interviews with 30 students and 6 teachers, observation of the learning process, as well as documentation analysis of teaching materials, student learning outcomes, and curriculum documents in three different junior high schools in three districts in West Kalimantan Province. The results showed that students understood basic symbols well, but faced difficulties with more abstract symbols. The use of clear Indonesian language helps students understand the symbols, although local language is sometimes a barrier. Student learning strategies, such as group discussions and the use of digital learning media, as well as the teacher's role in providing contextual and visual explanations proved effective. However, the limitations of teaching materials and the lack of variety of text-based problems are the main challenges. This study concludes that learning mathematical symbols requires a holistic approach that includes developing teaching materials, training teachers, and strengthening students' mathematical literacy. Recommendations include the development of self-learning strategies, bilingual approaches and the use of educational technology. The findings are expected to improve the quality of mathematics learning that is more inclusive and effective.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of students. The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of students in economic subjects by using the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by Video Media in improving Student Learning Outcomes (Quasi Experiment on Economics Class XI SMA Negeri 10 Tasikmalaya). The method used is quasi experiment with research design The Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were classes XI-8, XI-9 and XI-10, XI-11, XI-12 and the research sample used was 2 classes. The samples in this study were class XI-8 as the experimental class and XI-10 as the control class with nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling type. Based on the results of the study, it explains that there is a significant difference in improving student learning outcomes by using the Problem Based Learning learning model with video media assistance on labor material, where the average posttest value is superior to the average posttest using the Problem Based Learning learning model with video media assistance, thus it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning learning model with video media assistance can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on learning outcomes. The research method used was quasi-experimental with the research design being a non-equivalent control group design using pretest and posttest student learning outcomes on employment material. The population used was all class XI students at SMA Negeri 10 Tasikmalaya, totaling 427 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling which had chosen class X-12 as the experimental class and class XI-9 as the control class, with each sample class totaling 36 students. The data collection technique is a multiple choice test with 30 questions according to Bloom's taxonomy indicators from C1-C6. The data analysis technique is carried out by testing prerequisite analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of this research show that there are differences in student learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class as seen from the posttest score in the experimental class of 82.38 and the N-gain value of 0.66. Based on the hypothesis test calculation, it can be seen that the Sig. (2-tailed) namely 0.000 < 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the management innovation applied by BAZNAS Purbalingga in increasing public awareness of zakat. Poverty is a fundamental problem in Indonesia, and zakat has great potential as an economic instrument to help alleviate poverty. Through a qualitative approach, data was collected from interviews with BAZNAS Purbalingga administrators and observations of their activities. The results of this study show that BAZNAS Purbalingga applies various effective management innovations, including careful program planning, structured organization, social program mobilization, and strict supervision. Programs such as socialization, the establishment of Zakat Collection Units (UPZ), and the use of digital technology succeeded in raising public awareness about the importance of giving zakat.

Abstract

The percentage of poverty in Indonesia in 2024 reached 24.06%, thus encouraging the government to carry out various initiatives for poverty alleviation, one of which is through the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS). BAZNAS functions as a non-structural government institution that is fully committed to the implementation of zakat at the national level, where BAZNAS is formed at the provincial and regional levels to carry out tasks throughout the region. As an obligation that must be done for Muslims, zakat plays an important role in fostering social justice and welfare. The purpose of this study is to understand the innovations used by BAZNAS Purbalingga Regency in developing partnerships with various organizations to increase zakat, infaq, and sadaqah (ZIS) payments. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive focus involving observation, literature, and interviews. The results showed that BAZNAS Purbalingga implemented innovations in cooperation with local government agencies, cooperation with financial institutions, cooperation with the business world, cooperation with educational institutions, and cooperation with community organizations. Through this innovation, BAZNAS Purbalingga aims to increase public trust in the implementation of zakat while optimizing the distribution and utilization of zakat by the wider community. The synergy is expected to increase the value of zakat for mustahik and support poverty alleviation efforts in the region.

Abstract

Violence against women and children is one of the cruelest human rights violations. So it requires handling and preventing violence against women and children. The establishment of the Communication Forum for the Prevention and Handling of Violence against Women and Children (ForKom PPKtA) is a strategy to prevent and handle violence against women and children in Purbalingga in the community, formal and non-formal education. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods designed to gather in-depth understanding systematically and thoroughly about the problem under study. This approach aims to describe the problem as a whole, ensuring accuracy and accuracy to detail. Based on the 2024 National Women's Life Experience Survey (SPHN), 1 in 4 women in Indonesia aged 15-64 years have experienced violence. Despite the rate of physical and sexual violence against women and children, 18.35% of women reported being victims of violence by someone other than their partner, with 4.44% experiencing it in the past year. In urban areas, the number who reported experiencing violence was higher at 25.23% than in rural areas at 22.45%. In urban areas, the number who reported experiencing violence was higher at 25.23% than in villages at 22.45%. Dinsosdaldukkbp3A, especially in the field of PPPA units, formed a strategy by forming a Communication Forum for the Prevention and Handling of Violence Against Children (ForKom PPKtA), where the formation of Forkom PPKta aims to build a handling system and build a prevention system.

Abstract

Social problems that now often occur have a negative impact on victims, perpetrators, and the environment. Such as child abuse which is currently a matter that needs to be considered, their age must be given knowledge and insight into the dangers of child abuse. The socialization of violence against children carried out by the P3A Division of DINSOSDALDUKKBP3A Purbalingga Regency is an effective step in preventing cases of violence that are currently rampant. Nowadays, many children who are still in school become victims or perpetrators in cases of violence, so that in order not to have a negative impact, it is necessary to educate students in each school. Based on the results of the data, it shows that the P3A Division has successfully entered several schools in Purbalingga Regency to provide education related to violence against children. The implementation of socialization initially goes through a coordination stage, which can be done in two ways, namely by inviting the speaker and coordinating the P3A Division with the school to be the initial stage before the socialization is carried out. With this research through descriptive qualitative methods, it can provide information related to the socialization of violence against children.

Abstract

Poverty is one of the complex social problems that requires sustainable handling. The National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) acts as an institution that distributes zakat, infaq, and alms funds to help the poor through various empowerment programs. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of BAZNAS programs in poverty reduction in Purbalingga Regency, especially in the aspect of improving the welfare of beneficiaries. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The data obtained were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that BAZNAS programs, such as business capital assistance, education scholarships, and compensation for the poor and dhuafa, have a positive impact on improving community welfare. However, their effectiveness still faces several obstacles, such as budget limitations, lack of business assistance, and low community participation in the programs provided. In conclusion, the BAZNAS program in Purbalingga is quite effective in helping to reduce poverty, but improvements still need to be made in terms of fund management, synergy with local government, and optimization of assistance to beneficiaries so that the results are more sustainable.

Abstract

Drug abuse is a serious problem that has a negative impact on public health and social stability. The National Drug Dispatch (BNN) plays an important role in implementing socialization to raise public awareness about the risks of substance abuse. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of BNN's socialization program to influence public behavior towards substance abuse. The method used is a survey with a quantitative approach involving respondents from different levels of society. The consequence is that the socialization that has been made significantly by BNN to increase public knowledge and awareness of drugs, as well as to increase public knowledge and awareness of drugs, to change abuse more consciously. The findings are expected to provide BNN recommendations on the design of more effective and sustainable socialization programs and increase community participation in efforts to prevent substance abuse.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of Self Direct Learning on Learning Achievement through Learning Motivation in Economics Subjects. The problem raised in this study is to examine and understand the extent to which Self-Directed Learning affects student learning achievement in Economics subjects, either directly or through learning motivation as a mediating variable. The research method used survey with descriptive design. The population is students of SMAN 1 Singaparna, a total of 181 people. The sampling technique used was proportionated random sampling, so that the sample taken was 125 students. Data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire, and statistical tests using path analysis. The results showed that Self Direct Learning affects Learning Achievement directly, but does not affect indirectly through learning motivation.
