Abstract

This article discusses the role of the madrasah principal in improving teacher performance within the Islamic educational environment. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. The focus of the research is on teacher performance at MI Tarbiyatul Athfal, and the data analysis adopts the Miles and Huberman model. The study identified several issues, such as some teachers placing the interests of the madrasah as a secondary priority due to personal matters, family responsibilities, or additional work outside the madrasah. According to several informants, such conditions are understandable from a human perspective; however, if left unaddressed without proper guidance and supervision, they may disrupt the continuity of the educational process in the institution. The proposed solution is for the head of the madrasah to enhance their role through personal and intensive approaches carried out regularly each month, along with consistent mentoring, coaching, and direction for teachers showing a decline in professional commitment. Furthermore, the head of the madrasah must also serve as a role model, an effective communicator, and a facilitator who can create a supportive work environment. Thus, the head of the madrasah holds a central role in fostering discipline, loyalty, and work ethic among teachers through a continuous approach, thereby improving the overall quality of education in the madrasah.

Abstract

Karakter tanggung jawab merupakan nilai penting yang harus dimiliki peserta didik sebagai bekal keberhasilan akademik maupun sosial. Namun, di lapangan masih ditemukan perilaku kurang bertanggung jawab, seperti mengabaikan tugas atau melanggar aturan sekolah. Lingkungan teman sebaya menjadi salah satu faktor yang dapat memengaruhi pembentukan karakter ini, baik melalui dukungan positif maupun pengaruh negatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1), Kondisi lingkungan pergaulan teman sebaya di kalangan peserta didik kelas VII MTs Hidayatus Sholihin, (2) Kondisi karakter tanggung jawab peserta didik, dan (3) Pengaruh pergaulan teman sebaya terhadap pembentukan karakter tanggung jawab peserta didik.. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 190 siswa, dengan sampel 30 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan stratified random sampling. Data diperoleh melalui angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, korelasi Spearman, uji t, uji F, dan koefisien determinasi melalui SPSS 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lingkungan teman sebaya berada pada kategori tinggi dan karakter tanggung jawab pada kategori cukup tinggi. Analisis statistik mengungkapkan adanya hubungan sangat kuat dan signifikan (Sig. < 0,001) antara keduanya, dengan arah hubungan positif. Hal ini menegaskan bahwa semakin positif lingkungan teman sebaya, semakin tinggi pula karakter tanggung jawab peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis integrasi prinsip ergonomi dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran bahasa Arab sebagai upaya meningkatkan efektivitas, kenyamanan, dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar. Pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Indonesia memiliki kompleksitas tersendiri, baik dari sisi struktur bahasa maupun keterbatasan media yang mendukung. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan inovatif yang tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek linguistik, tetapi juga pada desain media yang ramah pengguna dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan fisik serta kognitif siswa. Melalui metode kajian pustaka (library research), penelitian ini menggali berbagai literatur yang relevan, termasuk jurnal, buku, dan artikel ilmiah yang membahas ergonomi dalam konteks pendidikan dan pembelajaran bahasa. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan prinsip ergonomi fisik, kognitif, dan organisasi dalam media pembelajaran mampu meningkatkan kenyamanan serta efektivitas proses belajar. Pada dimensi fisik, media yang memperhatikan ukuran teks, pemilihan warna, tata letak, dan desain perangkat terbukti dapat mengurangi kelelahan visual dan risiko cedera akibat postur tubuh yang tidak ideal. Pada dimensi kognitif, struktur informasi yang sistematis serta penggunaan elemen visual yang mendukung terbukti mengurangi beban kognitif dan meningkatkan retensi materi. Sementara itu, dimensi organisasi berperan dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang terstruktur, kolaboratif, dan efisien. Integrasi ketiga dimensi ergonomi tersebut tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas media pembelajaran bahasa Arab, tetapi juga mempengaruhi motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan. Dengan demikian, ergonomi menjadi aspek penting yang harus dipertimbangkan dalam setiap tahap pengembangan media pembelajaran, agar tercipta pengalaman belajar yang nyaman, mudah diakses, dan efektif.

Abstract

Abstrak:                                                                                                                  Kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) berkembang pesat dan diterapkan dalam berbagai bidang seperti kesehatan, pendidikan, dan ekonomi, namun di balik manfaatnya terdapat tantangan etika dan tanggung jawab moral, terutama terkait bias algoritmik, privasi data, serta keadilan sosial. Dalam perspektif Islam, pengembangan AI harus sejalan dengan nilai-nilai keadilan (Al-‘Adl), kejujuran (Ash-Shidq), dan kemaslahatan umat (Al-Maslahah), sehingga penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran (mixed methods) dengan analisis bibliometrik kuantitatif untuk mengidentifikasi tren penelitian AI serta pendekatan kualitatif guna memahami perspektif Islam dalam etika AI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam publikasi AI selama satu dekade terakhir, dengan dominasi oleh negara-negara maju seperti Amerika Serikat, China, dan India, sementara negara berkembang masih menghadapi kendala akses teknologi dan sumber daya penelitian. Dalam konteks Islam, AI memiliki potensi besar untuk kemaslahatan umat, misalnya dalam pendidikan dengan penerapan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, dalam kesehatan untuk meningkatkan akurasi diagnosis medis, serta dalam ekonomi Islam guna mendukung sistem keuangan berbasis syariah, namun pengembangannya harus berlandaskan transparansi, keadilan, dan tanggung jawab moral agar tidak menimbulkan dampak negatif seperti eksploitasi data atau diskriminasi algoritmik. Oleh karena itu, regulasi berbasis etika Islam diperlukan untuk memastikan AI berkembang secara adil dan bertanggung jawab, sehingga kolaborasi antara ilmuwan AI dan pakar Islam menjadi penting dalam menciptakan kebijakan serta sistem AI yang tidak hanya canggih secara teknologi tetapi juga berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam, sehingga AI dapat menjadi alat inovasi yang memberikan manfaat luas bagi umat manusia tanpa melanggar prinsip moral dan sosial.

Abstract

As a leader in an educational institution, a school principal has a great influence on the institution and also the community within the institution. The essence of transformation is changing potential into real energy. School principals who are able to carry out leadership transformations mean they can change the potential of their institution into energy to improve the performance of existing teachers. Transformational leadership is described as a leadership style that can arouse or motivate employees, so that they can develop and achieve performance at a high level, beyond what they previously expected. Transformational leadership in principle motivates subordinates to do better than what they can do, in other words it can increase subordinates' trust or self-confidence which will have an effect on improving performance

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan Maharah Kalam peserta didik kelas VIII D2 Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamiyah Attanwir yang kurang optimal. Permasalahan tersebut meliputi kurangnya praktik berbicara dalam bahasa Arab di kelas, kurangnya kepercayaan diri peserta didik saat berbicara di depan kelas, dan penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang kurang sesuai untuk meningkatkan Maharah Kalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis quasi eksperimen dan desain penelitian berupa  One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Dalam hal ini peneliti menganalisis data-data hasil observasi, tes (pre-test dan post-test), dan angket. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t berpasangan (paired t-test). Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII D2 Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamiyah Attanwir yang berjumlah 374 peserta didik. Sedangkan sempelnya berjumlah 29 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini adalah:  (1) Penerapan metode Inside Outside Circle (IOC) dalam meningkatkan Maharah Kalam dilakukan dalam 5 kali pertemuan,dalam penerapan ini peneliti menjelaskan materi kemudian melakukan treatment dengan membagi peserta didik menjadi 2 kelompok dan mempersilahkan peserta didik saling berbagi informasi tentang materi yang telah ditentukan. Pembelajaran Bahasa arab dengan metode Inside Outside Circle (IOC) membuat peserta didik lebih percaya diri dalam berkomunikasi menggunakan Bahasa arab. (2) Dilihat dari hasil angket dengan presentase 60,603% yang masuk pada tingkatan baik, dan nilai rata-rata yang meningkat yang awalnya 72,27 menjadi 82,37, juga dapat dilihat  menggunakan rumus eksperimen yang hasilnya db n-1= 28. Kemudian signifikan pada t-tabel 0,05 adalah 1,70113. Jadi, thitung>ttable atau 19,05>1,70113. Maka Ho ditolak, Ha diterima. Bisa disimpulkan bahwa metode Inside Outside Circle (IOC) berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan Maharah Kalam peserta didik kelas VIII D2 Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamiyah Attanwir Desa Talun Kecamatan Sumberrejo Kabupaten Bojonegoro .

Abstract

Character education in the modern era faces massive moral disruption challenges. Often, students' discipline in Islamic institutions is reduced to a mere formality dependent on external supervision, making it vulnerable to fading without systemic control. Therefore, an educational innovation capable of converting regulative compliance into inner consciousness is urgently needed. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the innovation of character education through the habituation of tahajjud prayer in shaping the istiqomah attitude of students at the Nurul Jannah Foundation in Probolinggo City. A descriptive qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design was employed in this research. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies to explore students' subjective spiritual experiences, then analyzed using interactive model techniques. The results indicate that tahajjud prayer habituation is proven to be more than just a routine ritual, but a major catalyst for spiritual transformation that successfully cultivates intrinsic motivation. Through achieving inner peace (sakinah), closeness to Allah (taqarrub), and intense self-reflection space (muhasabah) in the last third of the night, students are able to develop autonomous discipline and mental resilience. Internalization of these values directly impacts the strong character of istiqomah, manifested in consistency of performing obligatory worship, firmness of moral principles, and psychological toughness in facing modern era challenges. The conducive pesantren environment and caretakers' exemplarity amplify this experience into an established habituation. The novelty of this study confirms that true istiqomah character cannot be built solely on external systemic coercion, but must root in authentic spiritual experiences. This recommends reorienting Islamic education models.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of Arabic grammar (nahwu) learning through the use of the Nahwu Muyassar book in the Badar Arabic English Club (BAEC) program at Baitul Abidin Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, Wonosobo. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subjects consisted of two Arabic language teachers and fifteen students participating in the BAEC program, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the use of Nahwu Muyassar facilitates students’ understanding of basic Arabic grammar rules because the material is presented in a concise, systematic, and practical manner. In addition, the integration of grammar instruction with a communicative approach through muhadatsah practice makes the learning process more contextual, interactive, and meaningful. These findings indicate that the use of simplified teaching materials combined with a communicative method can serve as an innovative alternative to improve the effectiveness of nahwu learning in Islamic boarding schools

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms of Arabic language learning innovation implemented at the Center for Arabic Language Development (PKPBA) of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and to identify factors supporting their successful implementation. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with program administrators and instructors, and documentation analysis. The findings show that PKPBA implements integrated learning innovations through: (1) communicative skill-based curriculum development, (2) immersion learning supported by a total Arabic environment, (3) the utilization of digital media and Learning Management Systems (LMS), (4) authentic assessment through portfolio and oral examinations, and (5) continuous professional development for instructors and peer tutors. These innovations contribute to improving students’ motivation, confidence, and communicative competence, reflected in the high competency examination achievement rate. The study concludes that institutional commitment, lecturer professionalism, and a supportive language environment are the main factors contributing to the effectiveness of learning innovation at PKPBA. This study recommends the development of adaptive technology-based learning and the wider adoption of integrated innovation models in Arabic language education institutions

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education offers efficiency, personalization, and adaptive learning, but also presents challenges related to reduced critical thinking, moral value internalization, and social interaction. This study analyzes the relevance of Ibn Khaldun’s educational thought in the Muqaddimah to address the challenges of education in the AI era. A qualitative approach was used through literature review and historical analysis of Ibn Khaldun’s concepts, including gradual learning (tadarruj), habituation (malakah), the development of three levels of intellect (al-‘aql al-tamyiz, al-‘aql al-tajribiy, al-‘aql al-nadzari), and the strategic role of educators as moral exemplars and value facilitators. The findings indicate that Ibn Khaldun’s principles can serve as a normative framework for integrating AI in education, ensuring that technology functions as a supporting tool (wasīlah), rather than replacing the educator’s role. Implementation strategies include a holistic and adaptive curriculum, value internalization through repeated practice, moral guidance by educators, AI-based adaptive learning models, and a balance between technology and humanism. This approach allows learners to develop as insān kāmil, fully balanced intellectually, morally, socially, and spiritually. The results underscore the importance of combining technological innovation with humanistic educational principles to cultivate competent, ethical, and well-rounded learners in the digital era.
