Abstract

Parents who are busy with work certainly cannot gain the necessary knowledge from formal educational institutions. Apart from age and time factors not being possible, they will also think about financial factors, most of them will choose to allocate it to meet their daily needs. In response to this, of course parents will look for other alternatives, one of which is taking part in a study at the Ta'lim Council. This research aims to determine the role of the Ta'lim Council in cultivating religious attitudes (Study at the Al-Qobul Balikpapan Mosque Ta'lim Council). Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation studies then analyzing and making conclusions from the data that has been obtained. Based on the research results and discussion with reference to several theories and results of research carried out, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1) The ta'lim assembly plays an important role in cultivating the religious attitudes of the congregation who take part in assembly activities at the Al-Qobul Mosque, to complete the knowledge that can no longer be obtained from formal schools. 2) The activities of the ta'lim assembly broaden the insight and understanding of the congregation, especially regarding worship and matters related to it such as istinja, purification, ablution and so on. 3) The ta'lim assembly is a forum for resolving questions and problems experienced by its congregation, so that they can answer and resolve the problems they are experiencing clearly without any doubt or ambiguity.

Abstract

The basic of this reseacrh is the use of audiovisual media on the theme of Islamic Religious Education. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of monotheism learning using audio-visual media at SDN 004 West Balikpapan. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature. The main data source is the Islamic Religious Education teacher. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the research results: 1. The use of audiovisual media in teaching monotheism in the teaching and learning process is considered very useful because it is of interest to students and is fun, because they do not get bored in the learning process. The use of audiovisual media in the learning process helps educators achieve good learning outcomes for students in monotheism learning. 2. Obstacles encountered by educators in using audio visuals for students at SDN 004 West Balikpapan with monotheism learning material must be designed to be as interesting as possible so that students do not get bored and fed up.

Abstract

This article explains what are the challenges for a teacher in teaching PAI to early childhood and what innovations have been developed to overcome these problems. This research is intended as knowledge material for prospective teachers in dealing with and responding to early childhood, especially in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The method used is a qualitative method with a focused interview approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the author draws the following conclusions: These challenges include teachers needing to prepare a curriculum that is fun for children, creating learning methods that are appropriate to the level of development of children, maintaining children's attention so that it remains focused. in learning, creating a conducive classroom environment so that learning runs optimally, and explaining the importance of tolerance and mutual respect for people of different religions. In this case, innovation is the key to overcoming these challenges. Teachers need to develop interesting and interactive learning strategies so that children can more easily understand Islamic religious concepts.

Abstract

This study discusses "The Role of Family in Increasing Children's Love for Islam in Balikpapan City Islamic Elementary School." Through qualitative research methods, in-depth interviews were conducted to understand the dynamics of interactions between families, religious education, and children's spiritual development. The results highlight the crucial role of religious values taught in the family in shaping the moral and ethical character of children. The variety of religious practices within the family is also found to be a diverse element that enriches the spiritual experience of children. Parents are identified as moral and spiritual leaders who set an example, guide religious practice, and support a deeper understanding of religious values. The study's findings underscore the importance of the family as a key pillar of religious education, strengthening awareness of religious values within the family as a strong foundation of children's spiritual development. The implications of this research provide a basis for the development of better education and family support programs, encouraging the spiritual growth of children in Balikpapan City Islamic Primary School

Abstract

This research evaluates the implementation of the Ummi Method in Quranic education at SD Patra Dharma 1 Balikpapan. The results of interviews with Quranic teachers indicate that the Ummi Method brings a significant improvement in the learning process. Students show progress in reciting the Quran with proper tajweed and correction of errors. This method provides tangible benefits for students memorizing the Quran, facilitating their fluency in reading. The application of the Ummi Method at SD Patra Dharma 1 Balikpapan aligns with expectations, following training provided by the Ummi Surabaya team. SD Patra Dharma 1 Balikpapan is recognized as a model institution by the Ummi Foundation for Quranic education using the Ummi Method in Balikpapan. The results indicate an enhancement in Quranic recitation, with students learning through the Ummi Method positively influencing their classmates. The Ummi Method encompasses three approaches, one of which is the direct method, where students read without extensive explanations.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools have been known as educational institutions that are effective in shaping the level of religiosity of their students through various religious activities scheduled as a routine, by consistently instilling religious values in the students. Islamic boarding schools hope that every student not only has a good understanding and knowledge of religious values, but is also able to practice these teachings in everyday life. Religiosity can be defined as a deep appreciation of the values of religious teachings that have been internalized within individuals, which are then realized through their daily actions and behavior. Pondok Modern Asy-Asyifa Balikpapan is an Islamic boarding school that has implemented a Monday and Thursday fasting program. Where we know that Islamic boarding schools are a place for students to improve and develop religious values. The implementation of the Monday and Thursday fasting program carried out by Pondok Modern Asy-Syifa Balikpapan in increasing the religiosity of students, including getting closer to Allah and carrying out the Sunnah of the Prophet, Monday and Thursday fasting also trains patience, sincerity and istiqomah in carrying out worship, apart from that it can also form attitudes. discipline, maintaining health and maintaining solidarity between students.

Abstract

Human behavior is the main goal of education, and the role of parents is crucial in motivating children's learning. To support their children, parents can provide attention, gifts, and rewards. This research aims to find out how parents can motivate their children's learning process, using a qualitative descriptive methodology with interviews and observations. The results show that parents have fulfilled their roles as teachers for their children, although sometimes not perfectly. They motivate their children with praise and guidance, and provide learning facilities such as books and writing tools. However, they also face challenges such as knowledge gaps, financial constraints, and children's traits that can hinder learning, such as laziness and lack of focus.

Abstract

Fathers also make an important contribution to a child's development, the experiences shared with a father will influence a child into adulthood. Although research on fathers has continued to increase over the past three decades, research discussing the family has focused more on the mother figure (Roggman, et al, 2002). This research aims to obtain a descriptive picture of the role of fathers in child care. and in collecting data using a questionnaire in the form of open questions that will reveal the father's parenting from the father's own perspective. A total of 20 parents of students at Kindergarten Raudatul Qur'an were involved in this research. The results of this research describe the parenting process which involves the role of the father (fathering). The joint responsibility of fathers and mothers in carrying out parenting roles is quite high, because 86% of respondents stated that caring for children is a joint task. The findings regarding the average time fathers spend interacting with their children is 6 hours. In terms of quantity, it can be said that the father's time with the child is sufficient to carry out activities together with the child. One of the important roles of fathers in the family is economic provider, so that on work holidays some still carry out activities to earn a living with side jobs.

Abstract

This research explores the role of lecturers in developing Aswaja character through Aswaja learning at STIT Hasyim Asy’ari Padangsidimpuan. The use of Aswaja learning significantly impacts the development of characters in line with Islamic teachings. It provides an opportunity for students to understand Islam deeply, encompassing the principles of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah, beliefs, and spiritual practices. Furthermore, Aswaja learning shapes positive moral vaues such as honesty, patience, justice, and compassion, serving as the foundation for Islamic character. The study emphasizes the importance of Aswaja learning in encouraging students to apply the learned values in their daily lives, makin Islamic character not just a theorical concept but an integral part of students’ behavior and decisions. Lecturers play a central role as role models in implementing Aswaja values, not only conveying religious information but also serving as concrete examples in applying this values. The holistic approach of Aswaja learning contributes not only to religious knowledge but also plays a crucial role in shaping a strong Islamic character in accordance with Islamic teachings. The Implementation faces challenges such as resistance and resource needs, requiring appropriate strategies, campus-wide involvement, and efforts to enhance human resources’ quality. STIT Hasyim Asy’ari Padangsidimpuan strives not only to provide Islamic higher education but actively shapes individuals with a robust character based on Aswaja values. In conclusion, this research sheds light on the pivotal role of lecturers and the significance of Aswaja learning in character development within the context of Islamic higher education.

Abstract

This is a qualitative study conducted at SD Negeri 200117/26 Padangsidimpuan. The subjects of this research are the school, class teachers, and students. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research findings, the forms of student bullying behavior that occur include mocking peers. The role of teachers in addressing bullying in schools is as mediators and facilitators, where teachers bring together the parties involved in the conflict and call upon witnesses to explain the issues. Then, students involved in the problem are asked to apologize and reconcile. The role of teachers as guides is to provide guidance on bullying, and as advisors, teachers advise students who bully and advise bullying victims by providing motivation.
