Abstract

Urban green open spaces play a vital role in city planning, offering a range of ecological, social, and economic benefits. This research evaluates the availability of facilities at Ratu Balqis Park in Nagan Raya Regency, in accordance with the Minister of Public Works Regulation Number 05/PRT/M/2008 on Guidelines for Providing and Utilizing Green Open Space. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method, utilizing primary data gathered through observation and secondary data gathered from literature reviews. The analysis reveals that the park's facilities are inadequate.

Abstract

Syiah Kuala University is the oldest state university in Aceh located in the capital city of Aceh Province with its main campus located in the student city of Kopelma Darussalam, Banda Aceh. A pedestrian path is a movement of people from one place to another.Evaluation of the comfort of the pedestrian path in the Syiah Kuala University area is based on the existence of several pedestrian areas that have been damaged, potholed and misused.

Abstract

It is relevant in the world of education, the public library is a place for all activities aimed at increasing learning motivation and interest in reading students and the people of Aceh Barat Daya, Blangpidie and its surroundings support students and the general public with interest in reading. In the application of the building along with the theme raised, it is necessary to collect site analysis so that the transformation of the shape of the building makes the activities of this library building stand out.

Abstract

The Healing Therapeutic principle is one approach that can be used to create a comfortable and safe environment for the elderly. This principle involves architectural design that affects the psychological and physical aspects of users. In the context of nursing homes, the application of the healing therapeutic principle can improve the quality of life of residents. The purpose of this study is to determine the application of the healing therapeutic concept in the UPTD Social Home for the Elderly Rumoh Seujahtra Geunaseh Sayang, located in Lamglumpang, Ulee Kareng, Banda Aceh.

Abstract

This researchaims to understand visitors' perceptions of thermal comfort in the Masjid Agung Istiqamah, Tapaktuan. The focus of this research is the aspect of thermal comfort within the mosque, encompassing temperature, humidity, and wind speed, which are measured using a thermohygrometer and an anemometer. Using mixed methods, the study records visitors' responses through observations and qualitative interviews, while quantitative data are obtained from measurements to determine the levels of temperature, humidity, and wind speed in the mosque. A decline in the number of visits to the Agung Istiqamah Mosque in Tapaktuan prompted this research.

Abstract

The mosque building was designed taking into account the need for quiet and low noise levels to support Muslim worship. This research aims to analyze the acoustic comfort of the Baitussalihin Ulee Kareng Mosque, Banda Aceh City. This research uses qualitative and quantitative methods (Mixed Methods). Observations began with measuring the background noise level and absorption coefficient using a sound level meter. Interview data was collected in a semi-structured manner using an interview guide for visitors to the Baitussalihin Ulee Kareng Mosque. The data analysis technique used is descriptive technique.

Abstract

Parks are areas composed of softscape and hardscape elements that not only beautify the environment, but also maintain its sustainability and quality, and function as a gathering place for people to enjoy the outdoors. The presence of parks can be seen in various architectural features, including in mosques. Generally, the concept of a mosque garden is an Islamic garden to maintain continuity with the theme of the building design. One of the mosques designed for its outdoor area and garden is the Jamik Baitul Izzah Mosque located in Kutablang District, Bireuen.

Abstract

This research reviews thermal comfort in the aspects of ventilation and lighting in Aceh Houses in Pidie Regency, based on residents' perceptions. Acehnese houses, as traditional architecture, have natural and artificial ventilation and lighting systems that are considered adequate. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving field observations, interviews, and documentation in five sub-districts: Mutiara, Mutiara Timur, Glumpang Tiga, Peukan Baro, and Delima. Next, the data col-lected will be analyzed descriptively using coding.

Abstract

The mosque is a public building and one of the architectural forms of Islamic culture. There have been numerous studies discussing mosques, including historical studies, analyses of stylistic forms, thermal comfort, circulation, and other aspects. Due to the multitude of research variations, this article aims to re-explore the foundational knowledge of mosques. It begins by delving into the origins of mosques and their brief history, the initial mosque prototypes, their relationship with the building's components, and the evolution of their architecture in relation to regional contexts.

Abstract

Aceh, as a province deeply rooted in Islamic Sharia, consistently applies the teachings of Islam in every aspect of community life. Aceh has customs and culture based on Islamic teachings. Traditional Acehnese houses, commonly known as 'Rumoh Aceh,' represent the traditional homes of the Acehnese people, conveying meanings and philosophies related to the culture and customs of the Acehnese community. This research aims to identify and examine the compatibility of traditional Acehnese house designs based on Islamic values and architectural principles.
