Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of interest in learning and student learning achievement, the lack of use of STEAM-based learning media in learning so that learning is less interesting so that it affects student learning interest. This study aims to describe how interest in learning and learning achievement of elementary school students is influenced by STEAM-based robokid learning media. One group pretest-posttest design is used in this type of quantitative descriptive research. In this study, questionnaires, interviews, and observations were used to collect data. In this research using data analysis techniques in the form of Paired samples t-test and N-gain score test. In the paired samples t-test, the results of data analysis of learning interest and learning achievement show sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05. Interest in learning gets an average N-Gain Score of 0.7014 on the N-Gain Score test, while learning achievement gets an average N-Gain Score of 0.4029. It was concluded that STEAM-based robokid learning media can improve the learning achievement of elementary and high school students. So that robokids learning media can be used by teachers in learning.

Abstract

The application of the Pancasila student profile can strengthen character and competency development, train problem-solving skills, and be responsible and concerned about issues around. This study aims to describe the implementation of the independent curriculum in developing the profile of Pancasila students in elementary schools. The research method used is the study of literature. Data collection with the keywords "independent curriculum" and "Pancasila student profile" through books and journals or articles from google scholar. The stages of research are carried out through: (1) reviewing the formulation of questions; (2) conduct literature reviews; (3) filter and select relevant literature; (4) analyze and synthesize the content of the appropriate literature; (5) control the quality of writing journal articles according to predetermined topics; and (6) present the results of the literature review. The results showed that IKM began to be implemented by elementary schools that were selected to become Driving Schools with the mandatory option of Mandiri Berbagi. The Merdeka Curriculum is devoted to developing the Pancasila Student Profile through intracurricular, co-curricular, extracurricular, and positive cultural activities in elementary schools. Elementary schools that have not yet become Driving Schools are given the option to implement the Independent Curriculum in accordance with school conditions. SMIs at the primary school level have so far been organized quite well and will be improved in the following year. So, this IKM will be implemented thoroughly in elementary schools in 2024.

Abstract

The challenge of education is the low quality of education in Indonesia. Basic competency assessment is needed for students to be able to improve self-quality and positive participation. The purpose of this study is to describe the minimum competency assessment program (AKM) in elementary schools. The research method uses literature study methods from various book sources and scientific journals on Google Scholar through the Publish or Perish application. The stages of literature study research through: 1) making research questions, 2) reviewing literature, 3) choosing literature that is appropriate to the topic, 4) analyzing literature content, 5) compiling literature review articles, and 6) publishing literature articles. The results showed that the measurement of the quality of education certainly requires an assessment. AKM is a process to collect information about student learning progress. Based on observations in several schools and literature reviews, teachers have difficulty in following AKM because of their limited understanding of AKM and computer optimization in accessing AKM programs. The AKM program aims to measure the extent of students' literacy and numeracy skills in a school. This AKM program also measures the character and learning environment in a particular school. It can be concluded that in 2022, the results of AKM in several elementary schools based on quality report cards have reached the medium category, meaning that these elementary schools have met the minimum standards.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the meaning and implementation of independent learning curriculum changes as well as its relevance to the development of students especially in elementary schools based on critical analysis in pedagogical reviews. The Independent Learning Curriculum is an idea that is implemented in a policy issued by the government by giving freedom to teachers and students in determining learning systems with the aim of developing superior Human Resources (HR) through fun education for students and teachers by prioritizing on aspects of character development in accordance with the cultural values ​​of the Indonesian Nation. The background of this study is to analyze the meaning and implementation of the independent learning curriculum and its relevance to the development of students in elementary schools. The research method used is literature study with stages 1) selecting source material from journals; 2) looking for references in the literature; 3) reading references; 4) write notes; and 5) present the results of the journal review. Based on journal studies, it can be concluded that changes in the independent curriculum are motivated by the low level of student competence, gaps in the quality of learning and the development of the world of education which is increasingly rapid, especially in the field of technology which requires students to adapt quickly, and the independent curriculum is present as a solution to improve learning , in accordance with the meaning of the independent curriculum, namely independent thinking, independent innovation, independent learning and independence for happiness and in its implementation this curriculum is very relevant to the current development of students.

Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile has six dimensions: faith and devotion to God, diversity in the world, independence, mutual cooperation, critical thinking, and creativity. Global diversity is an appreciation of diversity that comes from the awareness that Indonesia is a big nation with various ethnicities, traditions and cultures that accompany it. The purpose of this study is to explain how SDIT Nur Hidayah Surakarta has strengthened the global diversity aspect of the Pancasila Student Profile. The phenomenological research method is used in the qualitative research methodology. The results of research conducted at SDIT Nur Hidayah Surakarta regarding the strategy of strengthening the profile of Pancasila students with the dimensions of global performance diversity that the strategy is implemented by integrating it into learning activities such as intra-curricular activities and then packaging it into project activities to strengthen student profiles such as introducing Pancasila Teachers using habituation exercises to help students develop a stronger appreciation of cultural diversity around the world. The teachers set an example by not picking friends at school, getting along with everyone in the school community regardless of skin color, religion, or other characteristics, setting an example of tolerance, and carrying out the flag ceremony every Monday, and respecting differences of opinion, can be seen as strengthening the profile of Pancasila students with global diversity dimensions at SDIT Nur Hidayah Surakarta Keywords: Elementary school ; Global Diversity ; Pancasila Student Profile

Abstract

Students have difficulty in understanding learning materials at school because of the unavailability of teaching materials that can help students to link learning materials with the surrounding environment and teachers have not utilized ethnoscience in learning. This causes the learning objectives not to be achieved optimally. Ethnoscience-based teaching materials are one of the teaching materials that can help students to easily understand learning materials because they present learning that is closer to the culture and environment of students. Therefore, this study raised the title of the development of ethnoscience-based teaching materials on integrated thematic learning in grade V elementary school. This research uses the R&D (Reaserch and Development) approach with the 4-D model to develop ethnoscience-based teaching materials on integrated thematic learning in grade V SD that are valid and practical. The results obtained from this study were 94% with a very valid category from 3 aspects, namely, material experts, presentation experts and linguists. The results of the practicality test in the research school were 92.8% for teacher responses and 92.8% for student responses. Thus, the use of ethnoscience-based teaching materials in integrated thematic learning in grade V SD is valid and practical for use in the learning process

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop an E-Flashcard learning media to improve early reading skills. The focus of the study is to determine the early reading skills of first-grade students at SDN 1 Tamanan and SD Islam Al Badar, describe the design, validity, and explain the effectiveness of the E-Flashcard learning media in improving the early reading skills of first-grade students. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, media validation, content validation, practitioner validation, student response questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, as well as pre-test and post-test instruments for oral early reading skills. Based on the t-test, a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.00 was obtained for the pre-test and post-test. Meanwhile, the effectiveness test results (n-gain) obtained a mean n-gain value of 75.68, which is > 75. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of E-Flashcard learning media is highly effective in improving the early reading skills of first-grade students in elementary schools.

Abstract

School literacy culture has a vertical relationship with the quality of the nation. Literacy is a skill that must be possessed by every student.however, according to a survey conducted by PISA, it showed that a literacy culture had not yet become entrenched among elementary school students and resulted in very low interest in reading among students. Indonesia was ranked 74th out of 79 countries. This research is an ex post facto research that uses a quantitative approach and is located at SD Inpres Antang I, MakassarCity. This study aims to determine the influence of school literacy culture on students’ interest in reading at SD Inpres Antang I Makassar City. The samples in this study were grades IV and V with a total of 42 students using a sample random sampling technique. Data Collection methode and data collection in this study is to use a quastionnaire and documentation with data analysis using SPSS version 20. As for the inferential analysis, the result of the normality test for literacy are 0,189 and reading interest is 0,312 > 0,05 (normal distribution), the homogenity test result are 0,405 > 0,05(homogeneous), the linearity test result are 0,201 > 0,05, thus there is a linear relantionship between school literacy culture and students’ reading interest. The result of the hypothesis test showed a sig value of 0,001 with sig 0,001 criteria < 0,05 so theoretically and empirically stated that school literacy culture affected students’ reading interest in SD Inpres Antang I Makassar City. So, through the result of the analysis, it can be concluded that the culture of school literacy influences the reading interest of students at SD Inpres Antang I Makassar City.

Abstract

The authority to run and decide on a program is the key to implementing school-based management (SBM). This study aims to describe the implementation of a school-based management program at SD Negeri Kedondong as an Adiwiyata elementary school in Banyumas Regency. This research is qualitative research where the data in this research were obtained by means of interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using source triangulation techniques and technical triangulation. The research results show that the implementation of SBM in SD Negeri Kedondong can be said to be going well. MBS stages include; 1) stages of exploring school potential, 2) forming a management team, 3) collaborating with related parties, 4) implementation of SBM, and 5) evaluation of activities.

Abstract

Social media is a technology that is often used by people for communication. One of the social media that is often accessed is Tiktok. Tiktok features many interesting features, one of which provides free information and can be accessed anywhere and anywhere. Many Tiktok users are young and old, even elementary school students. This study aims to explore the impact of Tiktok social media on student speech acts and reveal teachers' efforts to overcome the impact of Tiktok. Analytical qualitative descriptive technique is this research method and the data source comes from several teachers and grade VI students of SD Muhammadiyah Plus Malangjiwan. Observation, interviews and questionnaires are data collection techniques. Miles & Huberman's interactive data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions from research. The results and discussions of Tiktok social media students and teachers see more interesting content such as mukbang, freefire, a day in my life, and so on. The use of Tiktok has a positive impact on speech acts, one of which is students proficient in English and Arabic. The negative impact of Tiktok is that students often talk dirty because they often see content that uses bad words.
