The research method used is a qualitative method with qualitative data collection techniques through observation, interview, and documentation. The data Analysis Techniques are through data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of the study show that the halaqah applied in the Mansyaul Huda 02 Senori Islamic boarding school in everyday life has an important role in improving the Qur'an reading skills of students, such as reading skills. In addition, the halaqah strategy also forms the Islamic character of students by increasing awareness and practice of Islamic values in the daily lives of students in Islamic boarding schools. This study also shows that the halaqah strategy can increase students' motivation and self-confidence, as well as increase students' insight, thereby opening up wider opportunities for the future of students as provisions for living in society and interacting with the global world. This research implies that the halaqah strategy can be one of the effective strategies to form knowledgeable students, have good morals and have good reading of the Qur'an and have broad insight to face future challenges and contribute to society.

Abstract

The Qur'an, as the divine revelation to Prophet Muhammad, employs Arabic language, necessitating a deep understanding of Arabic linguistics, including semantics (ʿilm al-dalālah). This study explores the phenomenon of tadhadh (antonyms) in the Qur'an from a semantic perspective, aiming to identify and analyze antonymic word pairs and their implications in Qur'anic discourse. Using a qualitative approach with library research methods, the study examines Qur'anic verses, classical and modern linguistic sources, and scholarly works on Arabic semantics. The findings reveal five types of antonyms based on Al-Khammas’ classification: (1) absolute antonyms (taḍādd ḥādd), (2) graded antonyms (taḍādd mutadarrij), (3) converse antonyms (taḍādd ʿaks), (4) perpendicular antonyms (taḍādd ʿamūdī), and (5) straight-line antonyms (taḍādd imtidādī). Examples from various Qur'anic verses illustrate how these antonyms enhance rhetorical and theological depth. The study underscores the importance of semantic analysis in Qur'anic exegesis, contributing to broader linguistic and interpretive studies of the Qur'an.

Abstract

This study attempts to reread Al-Ghazali's Tahafut al-Falasifah not merely as a theological polemic text, but as a critique of scientific paradigms that has profound relevance to modern philosophy of science. Al-Ghazali's critique of rationalist claims, particularly regarding causality, the eternity of the world, and the limitations of reason, is positioned as an attempt to shake the established epistemic foundations of his time. A qualitative-comparative approach is used by analyzing the primary text of Tahafut hermeneutically, then connecting it with the thoughts of modern philosophers such as David Hume, Karl Popper, and Thomas Kuhn. The results of the study show that Al-Ghazali had already presented an epistemological awareness that aligns with the discourse of the paradigm shift in science. He emphasized that causal relationships are not absolute certainties, but rather habits that can change according to transcendental will. This perspective finds resonance in the development of contemporary science, particularly in quantum physics and the philosophy of science, which emphasize the tentative nature of knowledge. Furthermore, Al-Ghazali's paradigm critique also carries ethical implications: knowledge must always be based on moral values and spiritual awareness to avoid being trapped in scientific arrogance. Thus, Tahafut al-Falasifah can be understood as a laboratory for epistemological criticism that remains relevant for building a paradigm of modern science that is humble, reflective, and humanity-oriented. This research emphasizes the importance of integrating revelation, reason, and science in formulating a new direction for Islamic philosophy and its contribution to the global discourse on the philosophy of science.

Abstract

The dialectical interplay between the Barlake (dowry) tradition in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Indonesia, and the Islamic concept of 'adl (justice), along with its implications for discourses on family well-being education and the empowerment of Muslim women. Employing a phenomenological qualitative design and critical discourse analysis involving 33 participants, the research reveals a significant commodification of Barlake, transforming it into a financial and psychological burden that contravenes the principles of maqashid al-shari'ah (the higher objectives of Islamic law). The findings indicate both philosophical convergences between the original ethos of Barlake and the values of 'adl, as well as observable societal resistance and negotiation. Non-formal Islamic education utilizing a reconciliatory-adaptive approach proved effective as a conflict mediator. As a key implication, this study formulates a Maqashid-Based Empowerment Policy for Customary Contexts (M-BEPC) framework, integrating educational, regulatory, and economic dimensions to achieve substantive justice. This research contributes to the discourse on locally-grounded Islamic education and contextual public policy innovation.

Abstract

This study critically analyzes and evaluates the core philosophical and structural educational innovations developed during the Islamic Golden Age (8th to 13th centuries AD) and their specific relevance in addressing three critical contemporary global educational challenges: the knowledge dichotomy (secularization), the character crisis, and the global competency gap. The research employs a qualitative-descriptive method, utilizing a literature study approach (Library Research) and focused contextual comparative analysis. Primary and secondary data were sourced from historical accounts of key Islamic educational institutions Bayt al-Hikmah and Madrasah systems, classical Islamic philosophy of science, and contemporary literature on global educational demands (e.g., 21st Century Skills and the impact of digitalization). The analysis follows a three-stage framework: 1) Historical Analysis of Golden Age innovations; 2) Critical Evaluation of the identified innovations' potential to resolve contemporary challenges by operationalizing them against modern structural and philosophical variables (such as pragmatism and secularization); and 3) Constructive Synthesis to formulate practical pillars of revitalization rooted in Qur'anic values. The findings propose six interconnected pillars of revitalization, specifically targeting systemic deficiencies: paradigm revitalization (eliminating the curriculum dichotomy), ecosystem revitalization, methodology, institutional structure, teaching staff development, and pedagogical orientation. In conclusion, the revitalization of Islamic education is framed as a systematic effort to re-embody the spirit of iqra (reading and researching), leveraging the intellectual and ethical strengths of classical traditions to build a bridge to the future. This effort aims to transition Islamic education from being merely a follower of change to becoming a renewed source of civilization and innovation that effectively integrates spiritual depth with global competence.

Abstract

As these potent technologies develop further, AI offer previously unheard-of opportunities as well as difficult problems that demand careful consideration. It is impossible to overestimate the significance of AI in education. In order to ensure that AI's transformational potential is utilized for the benefit of society as a whole, we therefore seek to contribute to the development of a responsible and ethical approach to its application. In order to accomplish the goals and objectives of the research, a theoretical literature survey is carried out, and a conceptual framework for further investigation is provided. Islamic education is viewed by the authors of the current study as a dependent variable that is influenced by artificial intelligence. A future where AI in education catalyzes good change and enables people and communities to realize their full potential will be created by promoting equal access to AI-driven tools, encouraging interdisciplinary cooperation, and engaging in open discourse.
