Abstract

This study aims to describe strategies for increasing intrinsic motivation of students in the Tahfidz program at the Kanjeng Sunan Kalijogo Islamic Boarding School, Probolinggo. Intrinsic motivation is an internal drive that grows from the students' personal awareness and willingness to memorize the Qur'an without relying on external factors such as rewards or punishments. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the boarding school supervisor, the tahfidz ustadz, and the students as the main informants. The results show that increasing intrinsic motivation of students is done through several main strategies, namely fostering the intention and understanding of the meaning of memorizing the Qur'an, creating a religious and conducive Islamic boarding school environment, strengthening warm interpersonal relationships between ustadz and students, habituating worship and structured spiritual routines, and implementing various memorization methods according to the students' characters. In addition, the example of the ustadz and emotional support given to students has been proven to be able to increase students' sense of comfort, enthusiasm, and love for the process of memorizing the Qur'an. These strategies foster more stable internal motivation, enabling students to maintain consistent memorization. This study concludes that students' intrinsic motivation can be enhanced through an integrated educational, spiritual, and psychological approach across all tahfidz program activities. The implications of this research demonstrate the importance of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in creating a sustainable development system to support students' successful memorization of the Quran

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing phenomenon of academic anxiety experienced by junior high school students, such as fear of exams, lack of confidence during presentations, and pressure in completing academic assignments. These conditions can affect students' concentration, motivation, and academic results, so an approach that can touch the psychological and spiritual aspects of students is needed. This study aims to describe the forms of academic anxiety in students and analyze the efforts of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in overcoming academic anxiety through an Islamic approach. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Research informants included the principal, PAI teachers, and ninth-grade students. The results showed that students' academic anxiety appears in the form of nervousness, fear of failure, lack of confidence, and physical symptoms such as trembling hands and feelings of restlessness when facing exams or presentations. PAI teachers play an important role in overcoming these conditions through an Islamic approach that is manifested in the habit of praying before learning, reading the Qur'an, providing motivation, religious advice, and instilling the values of tawakal (religious trust), patience, and ikhtirah (independence). This approach can create a more comfortable learning atmosphere, increase students' emotional calm, and help students become more confident in facing academic demands. This study shows that the Islamic approach has a positive contribution in supporting mental health and character formation of students in the school environment.

Abstract

This study discusses the integration-interconnection paradigm of UIN Sunan Kalijaga from the perspective of M. Amin Abdullah in connecting sharia and natural sciences. This study is motivated by the persistent dichotomy between religious and general sciences in Islamic education, so that a scientific framework is needed that is able to build a dialogue between religious texts, empirical reality, and philosophical reflection. This study uses a literature study method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained from journal articles, books, and relevant scientific documents, then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that M. Amin Abdullah's integration-interconnection paradigm offers a complementary scientific relationship through three main frameworks, namely hadlarah an-nash, hadlarah al-‘ilm, and hadlarah al-falsafah. The spider web model or scientific spider web at UIN Sunan Kalijaga emphasizes that sharia and natural sciences are not positioned separately, but are interconnected in answering human problems in a complete and contextual manner. The implementation of this paradigm is evident in the development of curricula, learning, and scientific approaches that are informative, confirmatory, and corrective. While still facing challenges in terms of curriculum, faculty capacity, student readiness, and policy support, the integration-interconnection paradigm offers significant potential to strengthen Islamic higher education that is holistic, dialogical, and relevant to current developments.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital finance at Barbershop VIP Gending in support of financial system transformation in the digital age. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation of the owner, employees, and customers selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis employed the Miles and Huberman interactive model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification, with triangulation of sources and techniques to ensure data validity. The research results indicate that Barbershop VIP Gending has adopted a hybrid digital payment system via Bank Jatim’s QRIS, e-wallets, and cash payments. Although digital infrastructure is available and staff are trained, cash transactions still dominate due to the business’s location in a rural area and the customer base, which consists primarily of students. The use of digital finance has proven to increase transaction speed, streamline automatic financial record-keeping, and promote a more modern and professional business image. The main obstacles faced include internet connectivity issues, input errors, and limitations in the features of the point-of-sale (POS) application. Overall, the integration of digital finance has connected the barbershop to the formal financial ecosystem and opened up potential access to financing as well as long-term business growth.

Abstract

The rapid growth of live commerce in Indonesia presents both significant opportunities and challenges, particularly regarding the trust of Generation Z consumers. This study aims to analyze the effect of transaction security and influencer credibility on the trust of Gen Z consumers in live commerce on startup e-commerce platforms. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method with a four-point Likert scale questionnaire distributed to 271 students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universitas Nurul Jadid, Paiton Probolinggo, who belong to Generation Z and have used live commerce. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 27. The results indicate that: (1) transaction security has a positive and significant effect on Gen Z consumer trust (t-value = 3.939 > t-table = 1.969; sig. < 0.001); (2) influencer credibility has a positive and significant effect on Gen Z consumer trust (t-value = 17.387 > t-table = 1.969; sig. < 0.001); and (3) both variables simultaneously have a significant effect (F-value = 497.665 > F-table = 3.03; sig. < 0.001). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 78.8% indicates that both variables substantially explain the variation in Gen Z consumer trust. These findings imply that startup e-commerce platforms need to simultaneously strengthen transaction security systems and select highly credible influencers to enhance consumer trust in the live commerce ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implications of electronic money on the potential of Islamic teachings (Israf) and the formation of sharia consumption behavior among students of SMKN 01 Sempol. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal associative research design. Data were collected through the distribution of Likert -scale questionnaires to 30 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques . Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression through two equation models with the help of SPSS. The results of the study indicate that the use of electronic money has a positive and significant influence on the potential of Israf, as evidenced by the regression coefficient of 0.675 and a significance level of 0.000. In addition, the use of electronic money also has a positive and significant influence on the formation of sharia consumption behavior with a regression coefficient of 0.731 and a significance level of 0.000. The coefficient of determination shows that the Electronic Money variable explains 67.2% of the variation in Israf Potential and 49.6% of the variation in sharia consumption behavior. The findings of this study indicate that electronic money has complex characteristics. On the one hand, it can improve transaction efficiency, but on the other hand, it has the potential to encourage excessive consumption (Israf). Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen Islamic financial literacy and self-control so that the use of electronic money remains in line with Islamic consumption principles.
