Abstract

The quality of cooling water used in cooling towers can affect operational efficiency as well as the service life of the equipment. Therefore, an accurate and real-time monitoring system is needed to monitor Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) in cooling water. This system is designed to provide accurate and real-time information about TDS levels in cooling water, enabling operational personnel to take necessary preventive and corrective actions in a timely manner. This allows operational personnel to detect changes in water quality early and take necessary action to prevent damage to the cooling system. In addition, the system can also assist in effective maintenance planning, by enabling the identification of changing trends in water quality over time.

Abstract

The Genset, which is an extension of the generator set, served as a replacement when PLN (National Electric Company) turned off. The generator consists of a generator/alternator and a machine/machine. These generators use solar fuel (diesel) or gasoline. The fuel used must be of good quality because if contaminated with other substances, it will cause damage and can be fatal because the airport does not have electricity reserves.The issues discussed include how the generator works, what to do if damage occurs, and how to deal with fuel contamination. In this study, research methods directly by jumping into the field are used to perform observations and analyses.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the safety and comfort of BaggageHandling System (BHS) users, especially at the domestic arrival terminalin order to facilitate flights at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport,through improving and optimizing the performance of the BHS, especiallyAs T-Link section to connect the T-Link and the arrival pallet conveyor.For damage to the end of the T-Link As, it can be handled by changingparts. The cause of the tip of As T-Link is damaged after observationaldata collection, there are a number of disassembly that are not inaccordance with the SOP for disassembling the As T-Link roller bearing,one of which is by using a hammer. Thus, so that this problem does notoccur again, it is necessary to add additional applicable SOPs, one ofwhich is the use of trekkels in disassembling roller bearings, providing WD when disassembling roller bearings, and applying grease after installing rollerbearings

Abstract

The world of Aviation Industry in Indonesia continues to experiencedevelopments in various fields. With this development, airports thatoperate must have adequate facilities. Airport buildings ranging fromterminals to supporting buildings must have a comfortable temperature.So here a tool is needed to regulate the room temperature of thebuildings at the airport. The tool in question is Air Conditioning (AC).This research is based on events that are often found in air conditioners.After analyzing, it was found that the thing that caused the airtemperature in the room to be unstable was damage to the thermostat component. Where the thermostat component functions as a sensor thatcontrols the temperature to be cooler / warmer as needed. With arelatively cool room temperature, this can make passengers feelcomfortable at the airport. Air Conditioning (AC) maintenance is veryimportant so that the condition of the AC components remains excellentand the engine can function properly without damage.

Abstract

Air Conditioning (AC) Standing Floor is a type of cooler whose use is notaffixed to residential walls but placed on the floor. Air Conditioner (AC)is one type of electronic device that consumes quite a lot of time for therepair and maintenance process. Air Conditioning (AC) Standing Floorneeds to be maintained at a comfort level as a necessity for the comfort ofa room. AC component maintenance can make it last longer and the coldit produces is as needed. In order to have a long lifetime and reduce thecost of damage that occurs if there is no consistency in maintenance.Examination is carried out using an anemometer and stroboscope. Thepurpose of maintenance on the air conditioner is to smooth so that thereare no obstructions between the evaporator fins.

Abstract

The background of this research journal is the fact that the duration ofOJT (On The Job Training) Cadets of Airport Mechanical Engineeringat I Gusti Ngurah Rai airport, which is for approximately 5 months. Thisactivity aims to increase the comfort of elevator users at I Gusti NgurahRai Bali airport, damage to the elevator door can reduce passengercomfort or passenger ratings. This journal will also support the repairor maintenance of elevators around the scope of the IndonesianAviation Polytechnic Curug dormitory. Elevator doors play animportant role in ensuring smooth and safe operations at airports.Elevator door damage can cause serious disruption to passengermobility and goods delivery. Therefore, this study aims to analyze thedamage to the elevator doors at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali. Inmaking the journal, the authors conducted research using qualitativemethods to find problems with elevator doors based on direct events atI Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali. The method in thisjournal uses 2 data, namely primary data and supporting data. Primarydata is obtained from direct observation in the field so that data on thedamage that occurs to the elevator door is obtained. Supporting data isobtained by searching various references on the internet, journals, andmanuals. Meanwhile, in our data collection method we usedobservation, interviews and literature study. The solution to preventdamage to the elevator door is to carry out maintenance as follows, check the elevator door, check the movement of the door when openingand closing, check the door hanger once a week, the condition of thedoor hanger makes the door tilt or not. If the condition of the door hanger makes thedoor tilt, immediately make repairs to the door hangerto prevent the door from getting out of its way and carry outmaintenance and cleaning of the eccentric roller within 1 week andcheck whether the elevator door is tight or not when it is closed, if it isnot tight, immediately set the door elevators. These findings highlightthe need for greater attention to maintenance and maintenance ofelevator doors at airports. The airport management company mustensure that routine maintenance systems are carried out regularly andthat trained and qualified technicians are assigned to carry outinspection, repair and replacement of damaged components. Thisresearch provides a better understanding of elevator door damage at IGusti Ngurah Rai Airport Bali and provides a solid basis for improvingthe efficiency and reliability of the elevator system. It is hoped that thesefindings will be useful for related parties in developing a more effectivemaintenance strategy and reducing unwanted downtime at the elevatordoors at the airport.

Abstract

Conveyors are a type of material handling equipment designed to transport materials horizontally or vertically, powered by either a drive motor or gravity. Bottom ash conveyors play a crucial role in transporting bottom ash from the discharge of submerged scraper conveyors (SSC). One common issue encountered with these conveyors is the damage to the return side roller idlers, occurring approximately five times per month. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct an analysis to identify the causes of damage to the bottom ash conveyor's roller idlers, with the aim of providing recommendations to address the problem and reduce the risk of recurring damage. After conducting the analysis and research, it was found that the main causes of roller idler damage are abrasion, corrosion, suboptimal Belt Cleaner performance, and inadequate roller specifications used in the conveyor system. Roller damage can result in the cessation of ash conveyor operations, potentially leading to environmental pollution as bottom ash cannot be transferred to the silo. Consequently, it is crucial to identify the root causes of these issues in order to enhance the reliability of the bottom ash conveyor system. The purpose of this research is to study the mechanical damage that occurs in the conveyor system, determine the appropriate maintenance practices for the conveyor system, identify the appropriate roller specifications for the conveyor system.

Abstract

The rapid development and advancement of technology today into human activities become lighter and easier. But the ease can be felt when a person can be literate about technology and make maximum use of technology. This research was conducted in order to utilize and implement technological developments to facilitate the work to be more effective. This study was conducted in the form of making software-based technology or digital applications that are installed on mobile computing devices. This Software will assist an aircraft passenger in submitting complaints such as damage or discomfort conditions related to facilities at the airport in real time. The main target of this study is passenger aircraft, because the comfort of passengers is a representative form of the quality of an airport.

Abstract

Jendral Ahmad Yani International Airport Semarang has many scheduled flights, but there are some problems with the Fan Coil Unit. One of them is the wrong temperature when sent to a certain point in the room, which disturbs user comfort. The absence of Air Curtain and Window film in the area causes the temperature in the room to not meet capacity, especially in the check-in area of ​​Jenderal Ahmad Yani International Airport, Semarang. The results of this study can make the FCU work better and achieve the desired level of temperature accuracy by adding heat-reducing media such as air curtains, film, downlights, roof insulators which can maximize efficiency and channel temperature of the room considering that the Fan Coil Unit is one of the cooling aids which is quite important and always operates at the airport

Abstract

Bandar Udara Internasional Yogyakarta (YIA) adalah bandar udara yang dibangun di Kecamatan Temon, Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Pada Bandar Udara ini, terdapat permasalahan salah satunya adalah persebaran suhu dan pengoperasian jalur supply AHU yang belum maksimal, hal ini dapat dilihat dari persebaran suhu antar ruangan belum merata, salah satunya yaitu disekitar ruang keberangkatan Bandar Udara Internasional Yogyakarta khususnya pada ruang tunggu gate 3 dan ruangan concordia lounge. Untuk memaksimalkan persebaran suhu antar ruangan di sekitar ruang keberangkatan Bandar Udara Internasional Yogyakarta agar lebih merata dan memberikan rasa nyaman bagi penggunanya. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif yaitu metode yang menjelaskan segala hal yang terjadi dilapangan serta berorientasi pada fenomena yang terjadi secara menyeluruh, serta penulis menggunakan analisis SWOT (strengths, weakness, opportunities, dan threats). Dari penelitian ini maka diperoleh cara agar melakukan penambahan alat automatic damper pada jalur supply AHU
